No it aint! the law changed and the sections that other guy posted are applicable when you are turning from one of a number of lanes than turn left onto another road. When you are at a stop sign or give way sign to a dual or multicarriage lane road and there are NO solid whitelines on the road you are turning into, you can go into which ever lane you want. He was probably NOT the taxi plate license holder, some cousin or other, and probably did not have his license...... owner onus will get the actual owner, the taxi number will be sufficient to ID him and then he will get royally f**ked for leaving the scene of an accident. Finally the taxi's are owned by the drivers not the company itself, the company is the principal contractor, the drivers are subcontractors. the company is not liable for shit

i must have admit after just coming back from an audio shop where the guy told me for $750 he flashes the firmware and everything will work except the GPS, the GPS will work if I purchase a different antennae set up?

No I am in Perth WA. So to have the firmware reflashed (?) will that then make the GPS work?? surely that will be cheaper than throwing it all way and buying new stuff, otherwise I will just have it all removed and go without, not like I get lost anyway ahah but the tv would be cool! I can easily burn DVD's to open up the region so maybe just keep it for that. Do these things receive television also>?

Ok thanks, so the nav and the tv are useless? that sucks, getting it converted to AUS frequency will not make the GPS work though will it but I can still play dvds through it? As for the inlet plenum flaking, this car is supposedly a genuine one owner 58,135 kilometre vehicle with log books and service records. So it should not be flaking from prolonged exposure to normal heat which means it is likely to be from hard driving generating more than normal heat. Shit I hope the motor is not shagged from being driven hard, that will suck ass if I need to rebuilt the bastard!

Danny from Imports 101 sorted that out immediately, removed guages, tv etc and fitted locking nuts to the wheels for me. he is a wizard

It has some nice extras already (Tein suspension, Kakimoto exhaust, apexi intake etc) but coming out of a 430rwkw supercharged thunder ute (I know a holden, but hey I have finally seen the light), previously owning a 12 second Sti and currently riding a 07 R1, I just knew that a basically stock GTR was just not going to keep me satisfied................... so I went shopping and have the following waiting to be installed: HKS Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, Sard 700 cc injectors, HKS 290 L fuel pump, HKS extension kit, HKS EVC, HKS GT-SS turbo kit, Tomei Exhaust Manifold, Tomei Pon Cam and pulley set (type B - 260 i/260 e), Tomei timing belt, Tomei cam cap stud kit, N1 water pump, new tensioner and idler pulleys, Mines cam cover baffle kit and Power FC D-jetro, Hopefully this lot should get her moving along quite nicely and put a grin on my face. Ill post up some new pics when it arrives as well as a dyno sheet and then hopefully come out on a cruise to meet some of you lot. Just one question, who do you lot recommend as good PFC tuners....? It has tein suspension, but no black box... Do you know what intake pods these are: and why is the paint on the intake plennum all flaked like that??? Do they look like the standard size AFM's?? Shit I cannot wait for this bloody car to arrive:

Attached are two pictures, I am trying to identify what the electronic gismos are that are attached to the right hand side of the tranny tunnel (ie above where driver's left knee would be) and above the steering column. thanks in advance Also if anyone knows what the screen is and the bit in the guys hand which I understand to connect to the screen, I beleive it is pioneer carrozzeria gear, GPS/TV etc, can this be made to work in Australia? cheers

Having read the 'tuner in Sydney' thread, I would be interested to hear peoples' thoughts on the topic but for Perth, WA. I have a load of parts to be installed onto my GTR and then to be tuned with PFC d-jetro and would be interested to hear tales from people who have used tuners in Perth, good and bad so I can make an informed decision as this being my first GTR I have no idea about who is good and who may not be. cheers

ummm his 250 will NOT be faster than the car, no way in hell! those cibby 250's are good for about a 14 second quarter, I am sure the UC hatch with a rb25 will be well into the 12's
