how can that be? if you have gone slower over the first part of the track, you have not accelerated as quickly so how can you then make up for that reduced acceleration. Final speed = acceleration over distance, the distance stays the same, so if you accelerate over the first part slower (hence slower 60 foot time) how can you catch back up to go faster? doesnt the head wind make a considerable difference also? it was a howling wind, you stood up and were getting blown around. As I said before, not many people were going faster but with considerably claimed higher power
-
sarcasm the lowest form of wit, what does that say about you? All I can f**king say is that the dyno says what it says, the time sheet says what it says, the launch was good at 1.8 60', my foot was to the floor, changing at about 7,500 rpm with no missed gears and quick changes, heading into a 13 knot headwind, that's as far as I can go with it. Personally, bagging out someone's driving without any grounds to when you were not there is just being a wanker in my books but that's just my opinion. Rev210, I would like to meet up with you if you have time one day so you can have a look at the setup and maybe suggest some things with the intake that may assist in this

rev210 just pods mate, thinking I should isolate to get some cold in there but Xspeed said waste of time, I reckon heat soak. Did not get tuned today cos of heat

F/s R33gtr 97model 19x10 Rims $29990
R33GTRKid replied to ST RACE's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
noice series 3 mate, how many klicks, oh looks like your handbrake needs adjusting too hehe -
that's pretty cheap, in WA we get charged 10 hours labour. Not necessarily rough idle if you have djetro, I could not tell when my IC popped off, simply had no positive boost.
-
thanks mate, but what I am saying is that you ran 20psi through -5's and only got 330rwkw. How much boost would you need to run through GTSS's (9's) to get the same 330rwkw, and is that level of boost required then not out of their efficiency range and dangerous for a stock bottom end.
-
I am sorry but I asked a question not made any factually incorrect statement
-
If the gauge goes from - up to zero, quite possibly your turbos are still working but not making positive pressure indicating a intercooler hose may have popped off, but I cannot explain why you can no longer hear the spooling if that were the case? were you driving along giving it a hard time when suddenly things went 'pop' and thereafter no boost? or one day you started the car and no boost?
-
tell him you cannot get just one panel so you needed to buy two pumped 34GTR guards from Japan
-
so there you have (2.5 rwhp more than) 330rwkw from -5's at 20psi on a built motor, so how are you able to get the same from an standard internal RB26 with the smaller GTSS's (-9's) or 7's without pushing them way outside their efficiency range?
-
which is what my tuner is saying
-
thanks mate and BUMP for a good cause and a great pup needing a new home
-
I can keep my two seperate until I find him a good home, I have tried everything, including animal psych coming to the house, I have paid for a unlimited training school and socialisation classes for anxious dogs for him to be taken too, and his new owner can have the membership. given time may prove to be the solution but I cannot keep them together anymore for both their sakes and their wellbeings

Hey Never had any problems with kids, I have a 3 and 5 yo nephews and he loves them, licks em flat out the whole time, he can get excited and jump up for pays. As with any dog, kids should always be supervised. We have a cat, he has lived with a cat or cats since be was a pup, never had an issue, he tried to play or sniff and is used to the occassional swipe from the cat. I cannot highlight enough though that another dog in the house will not work. If he is kept on a lead on walks etc he is a pleasure

Hey all, I urgently need to re-home my 3 year old pure steralised staffy, Scooby. He is an absolutely excellent dog and loves humans however he has a real problem with other dogs and he and my 2 year old Rotty can no longer live together. I wished I did not have to lose him because on his own away from other dogs, he is an absolute champ, just loves pats and walks, but he cannot be around other dogs. He is steralised, immunised, registered and microchipped and will be free to a good home asap. If anyone on here does not have dogs but would like one, or knows someone that does, please urgently call me on 0438 942 693. Pics are fairly old but he looks the same, just stockier
-
yes pretty poor post, edit it asap even the mods should edit the bit about it being out of the state. Say something like he has the registation numbers of the two cars and unless someone here says they were just admiring, we will report to cops...?? MOVE THE CAR

well you may not have meant to have been rude, but you were. You can ask the people that were present on the night, there was NOTHING wrong with my driving. I have been driving for 17 years, have driven group N rally for at least 6 of those, had rexes, supercharged 6 litre utes etc etc. Aside from launching the GTR, everything else was done perfect. A 1.8 60' time with 18 inch rims would indicate that my launch was not that bad. I also had a jammed pack full tank of juice, about 30 kilos worth of stereo (probably more, the sub box probably weights that) plus my 100kg fat ass. Again I say it, it was hot on the track, we were left idling for a LONG time before each pass, with pods that are not enclosed and we were heading into a 14 knot head wind (which is 16 MPH in itself slowing my trap speed). Cars with a lot more stated power than mine were going alot slower. So your comment is simply unfounded and is frivolous to say the least. Your second post goes someways to proving that your first statement was off, a 32 GTS4 would be at least 100 or so KG lighter than my 33 GTR, your example had 25 hp more, lag really does not come into play at the drags if you can drive, you start off on boost and never come off, if you can drive, and your time was less than 0.35 seconds better than mine, albeit the speed was higher by 8 MPH, what was the wind doing? Finally and with the utmost of respect, would you hand your f**king keys over to some bloke you do not know to go belt down a drag strip? No, I didnt think so and nor would I! The car was genuinely running that power when X-speed dynoed it and was again last night, well it ran 382 apparently.
-
both of em NOTWITHSTANDING the built one has about 80rwhp more I think
-
the argument is wrong, I just went to another place this afternoon for a power run just to satisfy my curiosity, within 1% of the previous reading and on the higher side too, the argument is too simplistic, does not take into consideration wheel size, head wind etc. My initial post was on topic, he was asking what turbos he should get, I gave him some insight that a safely tuned stock bottom end RB26 running GTSS's (-9's) is capable of running low to flat 12's, perhaps even high 11's with the right set up, it gives it a real world perspective rather than just dyno figures.... but as you say 'meh', I also give up, all I can go on is what my car has put down now on two different dynos and what it ran last night on what was a pretty faultless run, good launch, perfect changes, flat to the boards
-
so you are implying that XSpeed's dyno is happy then. But then it means everyone else's dyno's are wrong too because heaps of people with allegedly more power than me were doing similar trap speeds..... bah I give up, I was happy
-
Nismoid, I see a common banter between us here, maybe ill wave the flag given you being in a position of power n all.
-
did he give you a second graph that showed AFR's as opposed to Boost?? you could ask him for em. Your AFR's may change slightly because the AFM's mainly restrict airflow rather than fueling, which could be the reason for the lowish boost levels, because he could not squeeze any more air past em. If he can up the boost, means more air, but then he should really compensate by adding more fuel to keep the same target AFR.

Dyno1.pdf whatever, there is the proof of power timeslip___5.2.09.pdf there is timeslip, no did not back off anywhere. Also interesting to note that F6 ute with 300rwkw doing 12.6's, another member with 290rwkw in his R32 GTR was getting 12.5's at 107MPH, a R34 GTR (the blue one from overeast bought from the dude off the forum) is next to me on the time slip and was getting consisten 110ish MPH the whole time and he reportedly has 450rwhp??? he was not backing off either..... And I checked 4 different website calculators and they all pretty much came back with 110MPH being spot on for a 1690 car and 380 rwhp but of course you must be right Could be that motorplex is just shite track, was heading into a 13 knot head wind, and track was 38 degrees but all I can say is what happened and what my car has.
-
timeslip___5.2.09.pdf 3rd run ever, pretty stocked, specially with only 15psi, 38 degree track temp, 13 knot headwind and 18's. Get a final tune next week, up the boost to 18psi and see how we go. Might wait until it gets a little cooler before I start my evening also (read get my missus to take a jacket so I do not have to leave at 8.30 hehehe). Be cool to see if I could hook up some loaner 17's too but meh. TWAS good fun indeed and how is the guy that bought that deluxe 34 Vspec from over east, the blue one with forged engine and GTSS's, reaction time: 0.001 WOW!!! winner of $300

that dip in the first curve and boost was horrendous. The second curve is very nice, boost control looks v. good too, hits 17 psi and then holds an almost steady 16.5 to 17 there on which is pretty sweet. Wait until R31 comes on here, he will tell you that you should be pushing 450rwkw etc etc. If anything, your tuner has been conservative with the boost but on a stock bottom end, you want engine longevity at the sacrifice of high boost I reckon anyway. Looks like it would be pretty fun to drive, maybe have your high boost set up at 19 odd psi, and a low boost where it is now so that if you want to stretch her a little more you can flick it over, that should push you well over 300awkw. What AFR's are on dyno 2?
