You dont need to do that, i think you pull the ignition key covers off and there is alittle red bit that you need to push in with a pen or small screw driver. Thats how i ended up getting mine sorted out

^^^ Yeah car has turned out good...its pretty much a GTST now (but no HICAS, and still the non-turbo steering wheel and front bar) 1992 velor seats and trims too, plus all the tinted glass (except back window)...lots of other extras too that ive converted accross.

So im converting my auto to a manual and am having a problem with the key lock. I cannot get the key out of the ignition, its like when you don't have the auto in neutral....anyone know which wire/s i need to connect or earth out to fix this up? Car: R32 GTS thanks

it was just a 2nd hand kit, its on their site if you want to have a look...but its not as if they have anymore.

...you all should read the 2nd post....i already brought a trust kit, cost me $450 delivered!

just an update, In the end i found a smashed 4 door turbo auto skyline ($1400) and swapped the engine accross, as well as brakes/5 stud/brake booster, interior, diff and purchased a manual gearbox kit ($1200). Should be alittle more reliable than the NA motor, as i heard after a while the head gasket will go even at low boost.

^^^ Wiring: Ok so i got mine all sorted, The Reverse plug is the Front plug (NOT THE ONE NEAR THE SHIFTER)....just grab your old loom off the auto, cut all wires except the ones as mentioned in the first post (Hand drawn picture)....run them down to the centre plug (both wires on mine were green and black), trip them and test to see if the rear reverse lights come on when you select revers and thats about it. the loop wire for the neutral is just on the same plug, loop the 2 wires over.

Hello all, I'm after an intercooler for my GTS (converted to GTST), but am wanting to not have to cut the hole for the cold side. I think a return flow would be much better, anyone know whats available, im kind of doing it on the cheap side as the car is just my daily So i don't care if its a china spec kit. engine: RB20DET thanks

More useful information (4 door conversion): I used an S13 cross member for my conversion, bolted straight up A thing to note, if you have a 4 door you will need to use the original Rear tail shaft section as the coup rear section is about 2 inches too long. Both the NA RB20DE auto and RB20DE manual runs a smaller bolts between the 2 sections on the tailshaft. NA has smaller 10mm bolts and the turbo Auto and turbo Manual has 14mm bolts, also the plate sizes are different. I ended up unbolting the Spline bolt on the front section and swapping the Plate over, so mine was turbo spec. now i have a question, whats the best way of doing the manual loom? Cutting up an auto one? Which wires do i use at the Fuse box?
