yeah im curious as to what the higher compression will be like, is it safe to leave the compression as is and run the stock ECU with about 5psi of boost??? my old RB20DET has a melted piston (piston 1)

Hey guys, i used to have a R32 GTST but now own a 180sx and a na R32 GTS RB20DE auto as a daily. anyway i have RB20DET turbo parts floating around from my old half cut and was going to try out the turbo on the NA motor, good idea? parts i have sitting around: turbo/exhaust: R32 GTST turbo (early model silver top turbo, genuine 50,000kms, no shaft play) R33 wastegate Actuator (thought this would be good for the NA only 5psi?) Stock Turbo manifold Stock turbo dump pipe Stock turbo front pipe Electonic: R32 GTST auto ECU (for now) R32 GTST manual ECU (for later when i convert it to manual) GReddy electronic boost controller (not sure if ill need that) Fuel/intake: RB20DET injectors Nippo Denso fuel pump out of my 180sx Stock turbo intake elbow with R32 BOV (late model RB20) other: Stock S14 LSD (to get rid of the single wheel spinner) Timing Belt Water pump RB20DET loom (not sure if this is needed) SR brakes (might run them as they are alot bigger than stock NA R32) NGK sparkplugs off the RB20DET Part's id need to buy: Genuine Nissan gaskets (manifold, turbo) Intercooler kit This is a job i can tackle on my own, im just wanting to make sure there is nothing i have missed out on for the conversion? Yes i have read through the "turboing your NA guide", but am still wondering if my exact situation would be fine? Edit: also i have a blown RB20DET as well, if i need engine parts!

Its a SR20DET, HKS GT-SS turbo, stock manifold, aftermarket dump, Genuine Nissan gaskets Back in December i put in new Dump pipe studs and Nuts (all Wurth products from my local exhaust shop) He said he hasnt had any issues with those nuts before and he said to try double nuts on them!

dont do it, there will be so much fuel! best bet is to change them but get a trailer with a winch and try not to drive it

Ive had all sorts of trouble with keeping the dump pipe nuts on, they always seem to come loose. Recently i noticed an exhaust leak with my car, (turbo, manifold and dump pipe were all leaking), so i blamed it on the previous owner and went ahead and with installing new nissan gaskets and new dump pipe studs and these wurth exhaust nuts. These are the Wurth nuts i have tried (top left): does anyone have any other suggestions, these wurth nuts have a top bit that is forced to hold the thread on tight but even they come loose should i try a second nut on the studs? or some different types of studs?

I have a mate who has those rays nismo wheels on his 180sx! Im sure they arnt as rare as you think they are!

quick question (yes i searched) Are (purple top) Redtop SR20DET sidefeed injectors the same as RB25DET??? I know they are 340cc and both side feed, just wondering if they are interchangeable! Its to diagnose a fault. thanks

I wouldnt be going on the track untill i had the oil cooler installed - the weather is far too hot to risk it at the moment! Also get your braking sorted before going to the track! maybe give this one a miss and be all ready for the next one! have fun!

here is my daily NA R32 4 door! (only photos i have of it)...cartaintly not the best NA but i think it looks cool with the rims and skirts.....have a trail front bumper at home for it and hoping one day to spray it gunmetal gray!

I just wanted to add that i also brought a front bumper from "mybodykits" Mine was a Trail front bumper for R32 GTST, i haven't fitted it to my car, but the quality of the front bumper is ALOT better than most kits you get...only thing was it was alittle wavy at the side vent, might need to apply some filler and sand it down but the rest of it is very straight!
