I cleaned mine up yesterday, ripped it out, took off the back mesh, soaked it in wd40, cleaned it up throughly, put it all back together, idle is now 100%, no dips/anything, stays spot on all the time, car feels abit better as well, though might be because its been abit cooler the past few nights...

  3. Im down for hills... I started off at CAS, and after being ****ed around hard, went over to hill, never looked back Mark and the guys there have never done the slightest thing wrong with my car, and always manged to fit me in, in an emergency, couldn't speak any higher of them...

  5. Well theres no leaks, and i just had a gtr radiator and r33 fan put in a few months back...anyways, see how everything goes at the shops. Thanks for your help
  6. Just to update every1 following my issue , To deal with the heat issue, we flushed the radiator. Now thinking the thermostat might have been rooted, we spent **** knows how long getting it out, and when testing it in hot and cold water, it didn't move the slightest bit, and even trying to force it open, was useles. So needles to say we thought we had found the problem. Put it all back together without the thermostat, put new coolant in, 5 minutes later same problem, everything is 2 hot to touch, be it intake pipe, hoses, engine, bonnet etc. This is after 5 minutes of idleing. Car goes to the mechanics asap
  7. ****. Coolant levels are all good, though a mate recons the water pipe going to the radiator, should be pretty hard due to pressure. When squeezing it, the water level rises obviously, but theres very little pressure.
  8. hhmmm mine only comes after copping a hit usually... 1 other question, after idling for say 5 minutes, the bonnet is pretty much that hot i can't touch it for more than a second, now ive never noticed that b4 at all, though is that normal?
  9. 2 add to this, my clutch started slipping alot tonight, got out, couldn't put my hands on the bonnet for more than say 2/3 seconds without it burning my hands. This was after idling for 10 min, where as touching it straight after i got out, it was fine. Water temps are normal, as is oil pressure, everything seems normal apart from the idling getting 2 low 2 often. Im thinking perhaps the oil pump?
  10. yeh easily its more of the tap tap, even a knocking sound would be a good description... i havn't heard what 'knocking' and 'non detonation' issues sound like, so makes it harder still
  11. Honestly in that situation, id go back and move my car. Its no help now, But no way could i walk away from my baby knowing that dickheads were sitting there waiting for me to go
  12. 2 problems here, The first being since I've added in an apexi pod filter, after around 6k rpm, im getting this crappy tinny crackle type noise coming from what seems to be the drivers side. Its not consistent and not continuous. I haven't reset the ecu since adding in the filter, any ideas? The 2nd problem, is usually after some hard driving, tapping noises come about. Seems to be coming from the very front of the engine, and only sounds like 2 components, in sync, going 'tap tap tap tap'. If i rev it, they speed up obviously, and basically to the point where the engine drowns out the noise. Not great detail i know, but any help would be much appreciated *language edited by admin*

  14. That car ****en flys hard... like seriously everytime ive been in the front seat i can't do anything but laugh coz its so much fun... top bloke that owns it, won't let the cat out of the bag with power figures though, let me know if any1 runs him
  15. My understanding is that all r33 gtst's are type m, you might be referring to the difference between series 1 and series 2? Not all r32's are 'm-spec'

Im seeing 2 many heros in skylines these days that think theyre all that, act like heros, put their heads in the air etc, u can always tell which ppl buy them 'coz they go fast' and the 1s that know skylines inside out. Ill keep an eye out for u

  20. hey hey, I just had some work finished by mark & steve, and i asked them to drop in the koni yellow sports. Theyre ****en hetic Ive still gotta get the rears and coils put in, 1 of my shocks was dead at the front, so thats why ive only had that pair replaced right now. When driving at say 100k+, slight swerving will make ure arse drift out (with that nice unsafe feeling), so make sure u get all 4 done as well with the right springs.

  23. Hills motorsport fit these and do a really good job from what i hear. Think round 1600 fitted and tuned. Ive got a link at home to a review from 1 of the zoom mags with all the decent ecu's layed out. EMS should be releasing the '8866' soon, which shits on the stinger and every other ecu (from what the review shows), for only 600 more.
  24. If its a creaking noise when u turn the wheels on the spot, or say a clunking noise when u do a full turn, its probably the bushes, I should be getting my baby back today/tomorrow from hills, having the bushs and shocks (koni yellows yumyum) replaced.
