  1. I'm keen on making it for this one, haven't been able to make any recently. Good chance to say hi and meet the team.
  2. Yeah definitely. I had too much wheel spin in the street tyres. I'll be out with semi-slicks next time which should improve 60ft and time considerably.
  3. hey toffy, I'm not so much a technical guy but when my car was setup i asked for a responsive setup without losing too much top end. Thought i'd share what i have. I was recommended into going with high flowing the stock r34 turbo and getting a garret gt30 core installed. I don't have the full turbo info but can get this info and others if interested. Here is my dyno chart.
  4. 99 R34 GTT 13.62 @ 110.37mph. 60 ft = 2.55 (1/5/2010) Was at Calder park for the first time. No past experience and need some practice with the launches. Also running street tyres 235x17 front/back. Have been told that i should be comfortably making 12's. Running 18-20psi boost, 263rwkw@130Kph, 1045.5NM@90Kph. Stopped with the runs once i couldn't reverse out of the burnout..think gearbox ok as no issue driving through 1-4, 5& Reverse no go when in gear. No crunching or bad sounds. Told it could be gear selector fork bend (think i said it right). Hopefully back on track in a few weeks.

    Calder Drags

On the 6th Nov drags, it was absolute havoc.. I think as a spectator it was a bargain since there was just so much to see, but trying to get a run would have been devastating. I was at the front gates when I saw some of the problems unfold. They had a ticketing screwup..(poor girl was stressing big time, so many people queuing up with cars) and along with that they actually thought they had reached the max drag car quota. At that point there was at least 100 race cars waiting at the gates, i thought riots were going to unfold when they were told no more cars!...took them about 20mins to realise they had misplaced some of there ticketing.. At that point things started to trickle through. That would have caused significant delays for everyone getting runs IMO. Hope things don't get any worse than that..
  6. Yeah mate def not fresh enough.. i stuck with the octopus balls instead. Fantastic stuff Charles! Was great to meet yourself and the team. Will have trouble remembering all the names..lol. Hope to catch up again.
  7. Hey Mike, Just so your aware the provided link isn't working, I've found this one does. http://www.worldadvertising.com.au/MTB09FINAL.pdf
  8. Wondering if not too late to count me in too. Would be great to put names to faces since I'm quite new to sau.
  9. thanks mate, think i was quite bugged that day so probably wasn't paying to much attention to surroundings. Catch ya next time.. maybe on the next cruise.
  10. IT network engineer by day.. muso by night. Keeps things interesting for me.
  11. Today saw nice clean white R34 gt-t i believe (rear skyline badge taken off), nice looking car with aftermarket spoiler, had an SAU sticker. Also had green P's, gave the thumbs up as went by the first time round VUT Footscray. Was approx between 7:00 - 7:15pm outbound from city on Dynon Rd, stayed together all the way down ballarat rd, i turned off afterwards near Sunshine. Same time saw a tough looking white supra behind us with some insane camber! a dark coloured 180sx i believe was also behind for a while, had a chasers sticker. Thought i was on a cruise all of a sudden All sensible drivers.
  12. I've got the same Cooling Pro intercooler and fits very nicely in the '99 R34 GT-T. No need for cutting of front bar etc. Just need to be wary of the following when fitting to r34 gt-t. Some extras I needed done to make things fit nicely was to change the radiator fan due to depth, original would protrude too much and get in the way of the cooler. Used a '98 r34 gt-t radiator fan. Custom brackets had to be created to mount the cooler securely. My mechanic pretty much put all this in not sure if there were any other changes required. See attachment. Don't have clearance shots just a view from the front. Hope this helps for those installing.
  13. Was a great night for the cruise, hope to catch up again sometime. Beach cruise wouldn't be a bad idea.
  14. Good chance i'll be there too. See you guys there. Tav, Anything happen on saturday? I was waiting at Todd Rd exit as per our convo on Friday night.. no show for the pre-meet..
