A mechanic once told me to choose a type/brand of oil and stick to it because of the different additives etc in the oil its bad to mix brands....... is there any truth to this??? sounds like BS to me......

B4 u go 2 a mechanic try spraying some belt dressing on there. My 32 used 2 squeel like a pig, but after the belt dressing it never made a peep. But u will need 2 reapply it every couple of weeks or so. Hope this helps...

Maybe we should all get radar detectors...... at least that will even out the odds..... take some of the advantage away that the cops have over us all. Are radar detectors illegal or defectable??? does any 1 know if the pi....... ahh cops have a radar dector dector???

My R32 GTST had a GTR rear wing attached to it. There were 4 clips that attached it to the boot lid. After removing them i found that they were also stuck down with some bloody strong double sided tape. i tryed to pull it off but it wouldnt budge.. felt like i could do chin ups on there almost. any way after half an hour or so my dad said "get some fishing line and use it 2 cut the tape" and guess what .....IT WORKED!!!! so if ur wing is stuck on with tape or glue use a long peice of fishing line in a slow sid 2 side motion 2 cut the glue or tape. the wing will virtually fall off after. also a little cleaning up of the boot lid was also needed as there was heaps of tape still stuck to it. Hope it helps!!!!

Sydneykid RB20 turbo is a T25 size turbo with T3 flange.......right?? RB25 turbo is a T28 size with T3 flange..........right?? VG30 turbo is a T3 size turbo with T3 flange......... right?? (please correct me if im wrong) so hiflo RB25 turbo is a balance between response and peak Kw?? wheres VG30 is laggy and mostly top end?? so can i expect around 200KW at da wheels with a rebuilt hifloed RB25 turbo?? (assuming all other mods done xhust FMIC etc)

Mr RB20 I am also interested in the same mods..... i ve herd that the VG30 turbo is a excelent and cheap upgrage for the RB20. but dont expect more than 190-200Kw @wheels. however rebuilding the VG30 (with a steel exhaust wheel) plus hi flow can get a little laggy, and will probly only make 200 -220 Kw @wheels... exactly how laggy i dont know ive spoken 2 a few performance places and know one can give me a straight answer.... does any one have any other info???

the insurence companies will definately check the chassie NO and the engine NO. but i dout they will pull the engine apart and check the displacement just to make sure its still 2.5L. so if the engine No matches with whats written on the policy and the head still says RB25 24 valve twincam then i dont think they would be any wiser......

im in for no1 price on full respray of whole car bumper to bumper gunmetal grey. R32 GTST also may need to fix a couple of small dents, would be nice to get a price on that as well. but i will most likely fix them my self. cheers

Hey fello skyline lovers. my R32 needs a respray can any one recommend a reputable place in the sydney area? my car is gunmetal grey and i just want it done the same colour as well as fix a few little scratches and dings here and there. any one have any idea of the cost for such a job?? Thanks!!

same thing happens to my r32 gtst the steering gets pretty hard at higher speeds. a friend that dove my car once also noticed it.

Tool the calibration in the climate controll is out or the external temp sensor is faulty. the climate control thinks the out side temp is -30 so it wants 2 blow hot air to warm the car up. try resetting the climate control (same way as rebooting the ecu) i think that should work. if not then need a new external temp sensor. hope this helps

cowboyb is the battery light on in the dash?? if not then ur alternator should be fine. its prob just ur battery on its way out. get a new name brand one and u shoud b fine. 2 measure how much drain there is when ur cars off just borrow someones multimeter set it to measure amps then hold the red wire of the meter to a part of the body then the black wire to the negative (-) terminal of the battery. then disconnect the black wire comming off the battery. take a measurement for a few seconds then refit the wire back to the battery. it shouldnt be more than a few hundred miliamps. if ur the car is drawing 1 amp or more (without ignition on) then there is a serious wiring fault some where or some thing in ur car is sucking all da juice out of it. ur sub amp mabey?? hope this helps

Thats nothing i was quoted $5800 by just cars for my R32 GTST which i bought for $17000. im 21 20%ncb no fines, claims or any thing and i live in west syd.. now thats a pretty unfair qoute

does any 1 know a easyer way of removing the drain bolt for the gearbox oil??? ive been trying for ages with a socket but it wont buge. i even tryed using a long metal pole over the wrench for extra leverage but it still wont move. any ideas phellas??? -
Im wondering what are the specs of the r34 gtt turbo? i know its a T3 but is it ceramic? i heard some where that they are titanium, is this true. if so would it be very hard to put it in my R32 GTST? does any one know how durable these turbos are? Max boost they can run?? i have the oppotunity to get one for about $775 do recon its worth it?? (sorry about all the Qs)

over drive is basicaly fourth gear. the power button changes the shift points to higher in the rev range. so in stead of changing from 1st to 2nd @ 3000rpm it will change at 5000rpm or somthing like that. im guessing that the snow button would lower the shift points in the rev range so you dont get wheel spin. a form of traction control i suppose? can any one confirm this??

this sort of thing really $HIT$ me. bl##dy stupid V8 fans and the like being put in there place by a jap car. so what do they do?? ban them from the race and stop them from competing. if they were allowed to compete imagine what would have happened. Batherst would have been dominated by the GTRs decimating the dunnydores and Falcons. Every one would see that V8s are dinosours and that forced induction is the future. people start buying these amazing totaly revolutionaty performence cars. Suddenly nissan australia sees what everyone else has seen on this fourm, and its like they were born again! the CEO cancels all the shippments of pulsars and patrols and orders a million GTRs!!! they all sell in the frist day of there relese, so he orders another million then another million until 8/10 cars in australia is a GTR. aahhhh *cough* excuse me i started day dreaming again. back to the topic - V8s SUCK:D
