  1. Theres quite a long thread on here somewhere about this, including posts from people who know where to go to get it done.
  2. I thought this would be sold by now, someones going to end up with a good deal.
  3. So the final cost on the road will be around $19500 .... I can buy them in the same condition for less here in Australia. Sure it looks like a nice car but it hasn't been driven yet. This is the third thread I have read tonight where people have bought cars from Japan for what looks like higher prices than they can be picked up for here. I also know a person who has just bought a 1988 Silvia from Japan which will end up costing him around 12k on the road here, and he knows there are a few issues with it. Is it really worth the hassle to buy a car unseen (yes I understand someone else has probably checked them out but they do have a vested interest) and go through all the hassle of getting it here, then go through the compliancing, wait around two months before you get it .... when you can find a car in Australia, take it for a test drive, get it checked out by a mechanic so you know exactly what you are getting for your money ..... and it will probably end up costing less.
  4. If it's an Auto i will give you 2k cash for it.
  5. for the link to the calculator Gazza ..... I found it's very accurate
  6. It turns out that snapshot was for one day only, who's to say that Woolies didn't lead the day before or the day after. But yes the petrol companies are ripping off the Australian public. I trade oil contracts so constantly monitor the price overseas and I think it's pretty common knowledge now that if the price of oil goes up overnight it also goes up here at the pumps the same day. But that oil won't reach here for a couple of months, so we are paying the maximum price at the pump for Oil that cost the company significantly less two months ago.

I find the guys at the pits to be a lot easier than the mechanics that do RWC certificates. I have never had a problem with the guys at the pits. Just make sure the height is right before you take the car their. As said above, don't hassle them or arrive with an attitude, speak to them nice and it will be all good .
  8. Hey Changi ..... how did it turn out, I see in another thread that you found a car. Care to share how you found it and a bit about the whole experience.
  9. Interested ..... How much are they asking for it ???????
