  1. What width are the rims you're trying to fit ?
  2. Does anyone want to put up a detailed report of how to achieve this result ? I'm certainly willing to give it a go however no idea how to get the rocker covers or plenum off ... If anyone is able to put a step by step up of taking off the inlet piping, rocker covers, plenum ... that'd be greatly appreciated
  3. THANKYOU AIRZONE !!! I will be trying this on the weekend !
  4. Hey Airzone, is this a relitively simple job ? I'm stumped ...
  5. If anyone wants mine I'll happily let it go for a reasonable price ..... If you're serious, just and e-mail or PM with an offer will suffice. Just want to get it outta my garage
  6. Peter, not 100 % sure what you're trying to say, but you'll find the ECV is open when horizontal, and closed when vertical. So you just can't keep it closed for a long period of time or whilst fanging it hard .... or better yet, don't have one. The reason people get a 3" exhaust in the first place is to remove back pressure. Instead of getting ECV's people should just hang on to their stock exhausts.
  7. I have one (uninstalled) .... The car came over with it on and I specifically requested it be removed during the compliance. Pretty much it's as simple as it looks, you have a little plunger device in the car, you pull it and it reduces the flow of exhaust, push it back in and it sits horizontal. My main reason for having it removed it that I could imagine passengers playing with it and me not noticing and then ripping it up the street .... backpressure not good for turbo I still have the plunger in the car for show just so people ask what it is
  8. That looks sweet Devo, and thats exactly what I'd be looking at doing. I thought long and hard about an induction setup from the front bar but after last Friday night when I was driving through water that was over my front bar (loads of rain) I think it's best to keep the stock intake as it stays high and dry. I have an R33 with an Apexi filter also, do you have the template for your design Devo ?? What material did you use ?
  9. Damn, I heard about this at work as well from a few of the lads who knew some of the gals in the car .... damn shame.
  10. Do you take the rocker covers off to do this job or just do it with them on the car ? Are there any precautions you should take before getting the covers off ?
  11. Sweet, can't wait to see pics and diagram ...
  12. These are about right, more than happy to be corrected though Clutch Fluid - 1.1 L required Engine Oil - 4.7 L required Gearbox Oil - 6 L required
  13. Not all POD Filters bolt on to the AFM. Quick a few need adapters like the HKS POD. Depending on whether you have a Z32 AFM or the stock R33 AFM will make a big difference. For instance an Apexi POD bolts straight on to a Z32 AFM, but you need an adapter for the stock R33 AFM ... My advise would be to stick away from the HKS POD. Many tests have shown that they have some of the worst filtration around. They are also an oil filter meaning you need to keep em oiled and clean regularly. Go for a paper element if possible. Most poeple find the Apexi filter is great (not to mention it comes out trumps in most tests). I also have a HKS Filter for sale due to replacing with the Apexi POD but I'd rather chuck it in the bin than sell it to anyone as I know they're not a worthwhile investment, especially if you value your turbine fins.
  14. Bwahaha, I turned up right when everyone was leaving the carpark, Moanie was going the wrong way, but I saw Tosh infront pulled over so I assumed everyone was pulling out ready to go so I zoomed infront of him and then when Nick flew past I thought we must be going ... Little did I know wthat Nick and Tosh were heading elsewhere. Decided to turn on the CB to see if we were still using chan 25 due to 33 being a repeater and I heard Nick and Tosh talking about me following them so decided to butt in and thankfully Tosh decided he'd come out to show us the way As for excuse, ummmmm, blame it on the rain ?
  15. Ditto, was great seeing peeps I have met before and meeting new peeps ... good to see communication was up with a fair few carrying CB's, made communication nice and easy (unless George is giving you directions to the city ) w000t Got home !! 5:20 am ..... how'd everyone else go with the rain ?? .... for some reason after some swimming, my baby decided to play silly buggers, I demonstrated for George, we came to the conclusion that I had water in the intake or something ..... It would come on to boost and then cough and stutter like a bitch. Semms to have rectified it just by driving it out. All in all a good nite, almost got picked up by some really wet (rain) chicks on the way home (it was raining, did they really think I was gonna keep my window down to chat to em !!) Look forward to seeing you all again soon ... hope everyone made it home without incident.
  16. Just changed the oil again .... going to see how we go every 1,000 km for the next 5,000 km .... if problems persist I'll see a Skyline doctor
  17. Can someone just post up Where and Where again for me ... can't be bothered looking back I'm there
  18. I'm interested ... where do you bend all the stuff ? I'm not sure of any metal working place in Syd to get this done ...
  19. Sweet .... Where's your footage Tex ?
  20. I'm in !! Can we tie SAU to a power pole, pull it's pants down and pay a stripper do do the deed downstairs on the roadside in peak hour traffic of a Friday night ?? Sorry memories of past birthdays coming back ... can we still get the stripper ???
  21. Engine flush ... heh ... nothing like draining the oil out completely and then starting her up to give her a good rev with the sump plug off to flush out any crap If you try this I hold no responsibility for the longevity of your engine
  22. If threads are removed or edited by a mod, edit your posts accordingly. You can understand how someone viewing the thread for the first time would be confused if they only saw you attacking someone for no good reason (due to the post being removed). As for expletives you may wish to direct your attention to the post I was replying to which was Sik's, not your own. /insert waiver - no patronizm intended. Is there any other information you're after at the moment ?
  23. Little confused how you can drain a hot engine yet then fill it up again cold wihtout waiting a substancial period of time .... having a car sitting for 15 mins whilst the oil drains isn't significantly going to reduce the temp of the engine. I've always been a drain her warm, change the filter and fill her back up kinda guy. If you wanna drain her hot, nothing burns like oil right Apart from warming the oil to make it slightly more viscous, what purpose would having the oil hot serve ?
  24. Sik, everyones here to help but Mac does seem to have a bit of an attitude, even towards people who are only trying to give him the info he is asking for ... ... as for being constructive, try using a spell checker next time champ and lets keep the expletives to a minimum.
