Does anyone have pictures of the particular parts they are talking about ??? It would make it alot easier to describe the places with pictures people can relate to. I mean the diff is a no brainer, it's like the jack was made for it, but up the front of the car it's a little trickier ...

Spark plugs should only have you removing the cam cover and the plumbing from the plenum. It's when you want to rip your injectors out that you'll need to remove the plenum itself ...

What bad affects can over filling the oil have ? Can it damage anything ?
-
This has been posted on the chaning oil thread but I thought I'd post it on it's own as I need some help ... Don't know what to do. I had my car recently serviced at 76,735 KM on the odometer. All fluids replaced etc, checked out the level of oil, all seemed well ... Car is now sitting at 80,540 KM on the odometer (3 weeks after service, racked up a few KM), I checked the oil last night and all I could see was some very grubby oil on the bottom "knob" of the dipstick, eg like 5 mm representing .... I wouldn't think 3805 km could eat oil like that .. I have no idea where it's gone, I'm not leaving oil when I park etc ..... I kinda shit myself and had 2.5 litres of Shell Helix sitting in the garage which was purchased only 6 weeks ago .... so I stuck it all in and let her run for about 5 mins. Now usually my oil pressure guage reads at about 1 at idle and has been doing so even with what I assumed was a very low level of oil, however after topping her up I looked at my oil pressure guage which was reading about 4, then settling to 3.5 at idle .... This seemed a little strange ... After letting her run for 5 mins I started hearing a "ticking" or "tapping" noise, decided immediately to turn her off and check the oil level .... Checked it out, all of a sudden it's well over the high mark by about 4 mm .... It makes no sense. Any ideas ?

Guys, I have some urgent questions ... Don't know what to do. I had my car recently serviced at 76,735 KM on the odometer. All fluids replaced etc, checked out the level of oil, all seemed well ... I wouldn't think 3805 km could eat oil like that .. I have no idea where it's gone, I'm not leaving oil when I park etc ..... I kinda shit myself and had 2.5 litres of Shell Helix sitting in the garage which was purchased only 6 weeks ago .... so I stuck it all in and let her run for about 5 mins. mac, take a chill pill, I don't see any replies here that are not trying to help you out. Also please try to post your questions in they're respective sections. I've gone over this question for you in NSW and I wil do it here for good measure ... As I've mentioned, I take my car to Mark @ Hills Motorsports (02) 8802 0777. Here's a few things to give you an idea of pricing, obviously each individual service would be different however this should give you an idea of cost. Labour at Hills is about $80 p/hour ... All of this will most likely be around 7.8 Hours of work, so around $624 in labour. All these prices are off my latest invoice, they are ex GST ... Fuel Filter - $16.36 Oil Filter - $16.36 NGK Spark Plugs - $3.5617 each (six required) P/S Belt - $30.51 A/C Belt - $ 28.09 Alt Belt - $14.50 Timing Belt - $89.82 Thermostat - $42.57 Water Pump - $139.18 Castor Rod (pair) - $86.36 Brake Fluid - $18.18 p/litre (2.2l required) Motul Fluids Used Clutch Fluid - $6.32 p/litre (1.1l required) Motul Fluids Used P/S Fluid - $30.908 p/litre (2l required) Engine Oil - $14.57 p/litre (5l required) Royal Puple Fluids Used Gearbox Oil - $25.69 p/litre (6l required) Royal Puple Fluids Used Coolant + Flush - $30.908 p/litre (2.5l required)
