Hahaha! I was like "that looks like Sherlock" then you flashed me and I thought "yep its him". Didn't even realise you were slowing down. Car sounded fantastic btw!
Looking at some recommendations for a daily. Limit of about $12,000, want something really comfortable, newish and that won't get cop attention. Can be big, small or whatever. Was looking at Legnum/Galant for something different or Gloria/Crown?
So I'm half way there? I think those lock nuts added a few KW this morning
p.s- I'm taking those wheels off you soon.
Ah okay. Only been there a week so I only have met two site controlers. I work for JD Communications, apparently we're knocking the towers out faster than any other contractors.
Nope? Who's he work for? I work for a little company that is sub contracted by a company called VAS who was contracted by Ericsson who is contracted by Telstra to do the roll out. Makes it interesting when you have 3 different companies with 3 different ideas on how a job should be done.
Currently doing the 4g roll out on all existing towers at my new work, you probably won't see proper 4g Australia wide for another 12 months. They might release 4g phones now but they will probably just run at 3/3.5g
Maybe because my cars a daily driver, so cutting tenths of my drive to work isn't really that important to me.
But in the few weeks I drove around on Adrians CSTs with 595s I was impressed with them, never really tramlined or anything. Well worth it compared to KU36 etc
I would say hes probably telling you the truth. I've unfortunately got an exhaust leak from my rear turbo and the sound doesn't come or go, it's always there. You can hear the 'airy' sound on decel and it runs like a bucket of shit. Have him finish of his work and before you pay the bill ask him to come for a quick lap to see if it's still doing it.
Why do you specifically want an 89? Late 93-94 would be the pick of the bunch with the long nose crank. Also if your turning it into a track car, save yourself time and money and buy something thats pretty much done. Then all you need to do is tidy up the edges.
GT-R ownership is a dark and miserable place. You're always broke, there is always something that you could fix and every new sound the car makes is a worry. But when it performs it makes up for all the bad things.
