HKS CAM GEARS IN/EX TO SUIT RB26DETT! Bought these from Nengun not that long ago and was going to put them in when I got the car tuned but now I want to go some Tomei poncam type B's and its cheaper to buy the Tomei cam shafts + cam gears together so thats what i want to do. Never used them and only pulled one out of the box! After $420 for the both of them. I'm not to sure if they suit all RB motors but I don't see why not, maybe do some fact finding before you buy if you own a RB20 etc.

Depends what colour the car is. I think white with the matching white lip looks good. Your best bet would be to probably start fresh, even if you manage to get the paint off the standard plastic might be damaged from cerb taps over its 18 year history.

Seems strange that it would have one when its got N1 turbos aswell. Pretty overkill for that kinda power level

Thats a pretty decent result mate! Did you end up putting anything around the manifolds and dumps? If not does the tuner see a problem? my heat wrap is getting in the way of doing a few bolts so I think I might have to remove it on the manifolds

Have a suss what ECU its running, probably a Mines or similiar.

Have the exact same problem with the same mods. Was making 154kw at 7psi and starting to detonate. Willall stopped the run. Was just on the dyno to get a power reading before an ebc install but have a Mines ECU installed (came like that from Japan last year). Didn't fix the problem because I was only gonna wind it up before doing my turbo swap so I started my turbo swap earlier. Keen to see what your problem seems to be.

Ate a bolt, kept flowing oil and wasn't the cause of the broken motor? That's amazing! Heard a story about Paul from Red R Racing GT-R and it's Nitto pump swallowed a bearing and spat it back out and kept going. No idea if its true though.

Nah I bought your Greddy front pipes. Cleaned them up and heat wrapped em, they look great. I bought Garrett -9s, but now I regrett it because I should of just bought the HKS GT-SS kit because it comes with all the gaskets/studs you need, instead of buying them from Nissan for $500+. Ahwell you live and you learn. I'm about to embark on putting it all back together this weekend haha Sorry Kaido, I'm turning this into a joint build thread haha

I say swap the wheels over. Nismo LMGTs are alot more era specific and "GT-R-ish" than the DTM rushes (that's what they look like). Plus the white will work well with black.

Black 32-R on Port Rd lights next to HJs at Port Adelaide on NYE at about 3pm. Blowing smoke on idle, didn't look or sound healthy

Did it end up having standard ceramics on it? How much power did it make before the turbo swap? Good to see your liking the GT-SS so far. I've got the 2860-9 by Garrett, which actuators did you end up using?

I've got a Greddy dump/front pipe extension for when I do mine, was going to wrap them in heat wrap all the way to the cat. Hopefully that helps.

Yeah I've got some turbos sitting in the shed for mine. I just need the motivation to atleast start it haha
