LOL.. funny thread... i know what the girls (esp. MIZ) are talking about here... one night i was getting driven home by my gf as i had a few drinks - and a similar looking skyline pulled up next to me on the passenger side and the guy said straight away at me "hey man.. nice car.. how long you had it for looks new!" or something like that. anwyay he took the immediate assumption that i was the owner. -

i disagree with your reaction of the perception.. yes big horsepower doesnt necessarily mean its fast as you might not get it too the ground... but i certainly wouldnt equate it to money and time being wasted either. have the fun comes when you cannot get it to the ground. :burnout:

naa i am in strathfield area... car is getting sorted as we speak.. not sure how how much it is all going to cost yet tho.

it was at my place.. in the carport.. not really visible from the street so they must have walked in and checked it out... one window is 'slightly' chipped on the top.. but nothing too bad... the b-pillar and rubber seals copped a bit of a ripping tho as u can see..

bloody byatches.... sunnies, stereo, cb, sub, ash tray (wtf?), ignition, gone.. im more pissed off by the damage to the interior they caused getting at everything. i have a brant aa02 fitted (which prolly stopped them from taking the car).. but might have to upgrade to the version with interior sensors and lots of noise...

the maccas there must be spewing that they are cracking down on the place. if you had a maccas chain and it suddenly because the street meet of choice every weekend = instant millionaire

i took some film shots with a mate in his ..i think it was a corolla? (fark it was that long ago..) back not long, or just before, the site was opened to public traffic (and a security guard told us too piss off i remember) ... it would have been 1995-1996 at the latest. he lives in the US now... but i could probably get him to send me a pic or two but you are right.. alot of ppl go there these days - great for night photography.
