  1. the rims them selves have an extra lip on them to hold the tyre on while cornering so i would expect that they have a specific tyre that has been designed for the rim also at each nissan dealership there is a specific skyline sales person and two specially trained mechanics who are the only people who can touch the cars
  2. oh yeah forgot about those guys drove past it the other day and there was a tt 350z there
  3. Hi guys, just got a 32 and need a few things done Prob could do with a propper service and i has no tools so will need a name for servicing + also maybe re-install of aircon (was removed by previous owner) need the suspension re-doing (coilys winding up and alignment and tweak for more grip etc.) and need a good auto elec who knows about car alarms as i need the viper alarm in the car looking at and the door trigger wiring in so if you know of a good workshop you can recomend in Launceston i'll be very glad to hear Thanks, Tom
  4. sorry was in a bit of a rush dont know if there is supposed to be a comp controlled solenoid on the 32's but there is a pressure line running from the turbo outlet to the actuator and goes to about .7bar normally but i had a bit of a hoon yesterday to see whats what and looked down to see it saying .9 also the cat is gutted and it does backfire sometimes and sometimes stalls when clutching in to come to a stop
  5. ok so i just got a 32 m spec with the foloing mods RB20DET RB25 turbo 5spd manual 1.5 way viscous lsd sunroof electric windows & mirrors FMIC w/ custom piping Apexi pod filter 3" cat back exhaust Exedy 5 puck brass button clutch JIC coilovers w/ Tein springs strut brace Bosch 040 fuel pump plus a few others whats got me scratching my head is that when it comes on boost it seems to pull stronger when i'm at 2/3 or 3/4 throttle and if i nail it it makes the noises and sounds like its going hard but doesn't really seem to pull well at all i am leaning to a problem with the tps as i've been having some idle problems and the aac is now squeeky clean can someone please confirm the precedure for setting the idle on a 32, what i really want to know is if your supposed to unplug the tps as well as the aac connectors if anyone has any ideas please put them up Thanks Tom

  8. na not looking to tow but will bear this in mind as bit of a bonus as i actually quite often have to tow boats and stuff will keep it as long as i stay interested in it but im not buying one for a fair while because i am still in england atm and will be till the end of january
  9. the only problem with a falcon is that is a ford and not an import had a sil and had great fun with that now gonna be cruising up and down and might be keeping it a little longer than thought cos the ferry prices aren't as much as in was thinking plus the depreciation cant be as bad on a stagea as is is on a falcodore
  10. extra work like? oil changes i can do myself was thinking of doing the trans too but a big unsure about doing the attessa system on it tyres i can cope with too
  11. ok thanks guys zoomzoom im only gonna get one that has already been landed not a fresh import will be keeping it very stock and theres only one for sale in tas so supply and demand might help me not loosing much i was planning on selling it down there as summer holidays are 4 weeks long which gives me plenty of time to get a silvia when i return to the coast so i will prob just go for the cheapest stagea in good condition cheers guys tom
  12. Ok guys haven't been a very active member here on sau until recently when the idea of getting a stagea hit me I'm currently having a gap year in england making some money (£10/h or aprox AU$24/h selling phones but when i do return to the gold coast in january i will have about 3 weeks to find a car and then it will be time to head off to uni in tasmania me and my girlfriend will be driving down and therefore are in the need of a wagon this is where the stagea comes in looking at prices on car sales a s1 can be had for $9000 + and S2's come in at about $11-12+ what i am trying to decide is if it is worth spending the extra money and going for the series 2 with the neo motor insuance is about $300 more for the series 2 but thats neither here nor there so basically, my first stagea is gonna be loaded up and taken to tasmania and will probably be sold at the end of my first year at uni sugestions please thanks tom
