Nulon make a tappet quieting product The retail version is different to the one supplied to mechanics tho, if the 31 needs it I go to an ultra tune and ask them to get a bottle in for me, usually works out at about $10 anyway but the bottle says "not for retail sale" or something like that Glad to hear you got it sorted tho

  6. Finally got an alignment! Toe was massively out, even on the rear (which wasn't altered at all) and the place i used actually found more things wrong than when i got the pedders check, so i doubt i'll back there in a hurry most annoyingly tho, they didn't touch the new adjustable bushes and said there is something wrong with the caster bushes because they aren't stock good news is that caster is up to about 4.5-5mm and its sitting on 1.5-2° of camber in the front Will have to give them a call about the superpro bushes and see what they think is wrong

  9. 0 f**ks currently being given about the stagea atm chenged the caster bushes and front upper inner control arm bushes to superpro adjustbale ones and changed the rack bushes too still haven't had it aligned so i've been driving the 31 to work found while it was on the hoist that both inner cv boots are toast and the grease has gone all milky looking (must have been like that for a while) and the passenger side rack end has a slight bend in it too, awesome oh, and i had pedders inspect it a few weeks ago and didn't notice any of this even after i told them that i nudged a kerb pretty hard on that side also, my awd isn't working cos one of the rear tyres is more worn than the front tyres and it keeps feeding power to the front on the highway turbo is on its way out needs a tune and generally feels like a massive ball sack to drive atm /rant
  10. $30k looks to only be the 5 speed manual 250nm motor twin turbo is the 450nm and jacks the price up to over $40k will definitely get him into look at one tho
  11. what weight are you running? 10w40 would be the go, Gulf western oils are pretty detergent heavy so running some of that at 5000km intervals should eventually free it up otherwise you can do what i did to my 31 4 litres of cheapy GW 20w50 (~$13) 2 x Nulon engine oil flush Dump current oil (save it if you want and put it back in after) Insert cheap oil + both oil flush bottles Run for 5 mins at idle, do not drive it!!! lift the revs to 2-3000 rpm for 20-30 seconds idle for 5 mins lift the revs etc... do it so its running for around 20 mins dump the flushing oil, change the filter, put new/previous oil back in party

  14. pffft! rb25 is overated only like 60cc more than the 25neo and no vct neo also has solid lifters and mr nissan helped you out and converted it to a big single turbo for convenience
  15. my mates with evos have the same thing DO NOT lean on the mesh! or you will end up with char-grilled patterns on your hand, though on evo's the vents are directly above the tubro

  19. if you push your budget out a few thousand you'd beable to pick up andrew's rs4s (factory manual) its a good one and its got around 200 awkw with a few goodies

  21. kind of, in the seal are 3 brass standoffs, they space the cas out the correct distance to stop you loading up the thing and breaking it

Yeah he has an ABN, drops the price a fair bit but the first dealer we went to see didn't seem at all like he was gonna budge off RRP (abn rrp, its about $34.5k) Going to avoid used this time, a lot of the second hand ones have potentially seen a very hard life the way a lot of tradies drive and care for their vehicles Another big issue is the fact that there aren't many new ones in australia apparently. The local dealer has none, only has a few coming on the next boat and a special order is 3 months away so their not at all desperate to get rid of them
