  1. Only thing I can add is when I sold my outback Nice ppl they were, cranked the fan but the a/c button wasn't on, let it ran for a few mins while they checks out other stuff Came back to feel how cold the a/c was....uh its a bit warm, yeah mate you have the a/c isn't on Also, while I'm here, my step dad us looking at getting a new van The iload is winning at the moment but the dealers don't seem keen to drop the price at all as there is so much demand for them Anyone got any hints for negotiating on a new car? I've only ever bought second hand/private
  2. I'll go get the code off them but I couldn't see a spring rate anywhere Might have to remove more dust/dirt lol Also, to subtract from the win I also found out that both inner cv boots are split on the front :-( What's the going rate on someone else to do it? My tools are mostly in Tasmania and I'm up in qld for another 6 weeks
  3. Oh, and also found out that I have eibach springs with my impul super shocks Neither of which I can find info for
  4. Another big day in the shed, finally working on my car ! Rack bushes, front upper control arm now has adjustable bushes, as do the castor rods Just need to get a proper alignment done now
  5. could be an old and brittle coilpack loom does it get any better if you wiggle the wires?
  6. its the only way to identify the age of the whole motor (they assume you would never ever take the head off and put it on another motor)
  7. i'll see if i can make it too
  8. thats very good, but obviously you have a talented tuner is that highway tho? i get 500 city and 650ish highway on the super rich retarded stock tune and 10psi
  9. the rs4s comes pretty close both are 206kw stock both run a r33 gtr gearbox and drivetrain one gets good fuel consumption, the other has twin turbos
  10. Rust under the mirrors faulty/old coil packs is it genuine (need to run it through fast for this) is it from a cold climate? does it have 2 reverse lights or 1 reverse and 1 rear fog? (if its the latter walk away, it will be a ticking time bomb for rust)
  11. bought it at around 60k, now has about 130k radiator top tank cracked too, new coolingpro rad was around $370 with postage and was fail then replaced with a new stock rad for $220 and timing belt kit and waterpump at 100,000kms thats about it as far as things going wrong goes
  12. yeah all the s2's have the neo (bar 260rs) and all manual's are s2's only issue im having is the syncros in the gearbox are getting a bit worn and it crunches 4th if i go like 2nd to 4th and my turbo has a bit of end float so it could do with a rebuild sometime soon
  13. you'll get less runs in on a saturday but its better to watch i went one sat a few years ago and was lucky to do 3 runs on a wed i used to do a few runs and watch and do some runs and watch etc
  14. similar but different there is a single wire plug under the dash which you unplug (or wire a switch to and put it on the dash) start the car pump the brake pedal around 5 times AWD light starts flashing and its in rwd mode
  15. the neo head is pretty close to the 26 head (solid lifters etc) but with no itb's but it has vct some say it flows more than the 26 head also cops 26 rods and maybe a few more goodies
  16. maybe we should make this into a "lest go to the drags together" thread i'd be keen to go when a bunch of other sau ppl are going
  17. pretty sure you can run an older block so long as your retain all the emissions systems that came with the car (charcoal canister, egr valves etc) its in the rules somewhere
  18. na, mines pretty good for what it is auto sucks fuel a bit worse but best bet is to grab a new o2 sensor i get around 10l/100km highway and 12+ city roughly 500kms/tank and i'm usually a cheapskate and run it on 95 in tas due to the retarded price of bp ultimate lol if your 32 is still running an rb20 it'll make you want to upgrade lol, the 25neo is such a good motor also perfect car for a daily, i used to use mine as a delivery car when i worked at dominos haha
  19. yeah, mines pretty hard to miss there's also an m35 kicking about too whats your story btw?
  20. i had mine for sale for a bit but i've decided to keep it one of the guys at autobarn has another white manual one mine is manual Ben who lives near the gorge has a white manual one and so is Andrew's (the one for sale) and there may be another getting about I haven't seen the car in person since the last stagea meet which was a couple of years ago but i'm sure its still in top condition well worth a look thats for sure
  21. yup, im pretty sure thats Andrew's stagea well looked after but he bought a navara or something and no longer needs the stagea are you in tas? even so its a good car and has a fair few bits and pieces on it for the money i thought he got it tuned too but i could be thinking about another stagea
  22. r34 and s2r33 are not the same for coilpacks are they 34 or 33 ones?
  23. Found this in my phone from a few weeks ago Just parked up at work, mine is the yellow one btw
  24. You can reuse that mix too for flushing other motors i've used that on my 31 and my stepdad's commodore with great success Both are running well to his day and the 31 which is renowned for noisy lifters has been pretty quiet since
