  1. +1 i did the same thing when i found it too but yeah just a breather for the diff
  2. supercheap and autobarn are about $33 for snyx3000 down here bloody good for that price too currently running "motormax" in the dirty 30 (i think its just a 5 litre version of the 20w50 that is usually in the 4 litre bottles) lifters are still a little noisy on startup, might have to do a flush before the next change
  3. yeah i'll probably get up to the mountains but i was more so wondering if there were still any good meet ups anymore (like what broadwater carpark used to attract)
  4. I'm pretty sure there is like an extra 100kgs in the wagon part of a stagea Also pretty sure mine has gtr shocks and the rear just feels ever so slightly off
  5. Don't get gtr rear shocks, they are valved differently
  6. I guess it will be like a fwd cv Big ass nut and the drive shaft goes all the way through the hub, you will also need to undo something below the hub so that you can pull the hub off the shaft The shuddering is probably worn/mismatched Tyre sizes tho, enter rwd mode to confirm
  7. In snow areas they salt the road so you get rust up everywhere around the strut towers and under the car
  8. gay shit well the stagea is pretty stock bar a pod (attached like a boss and kinda heatshielded) r34 brakes (those are stock on a manual officer) and full turbo back exhaust (actually pretty quiet) so i should be ok i guess the level of defecting means only super secret random meets then?
  9. s1 and s2 have the same attessa system as far as i know also "dropping the front shaft" is the removal of the shaft that runs between the gearbox and the front diff, 4 bolts and its out (use the diagnostic mode first to see if thats the issue)
  10. Hey guys, I used to live on the coast but had to move to tasmania for uni, anyway i'll be up in a few weeks just wondering what happens up there these days? Any crazy new rules i should watch out for? (My stagea is up there so i'll be driving around in that) Any does anyone get together like they used to in the broad water carpark in the good old days? Cheers, Tom
  11. sadly this is true mine was about $13k for an rs4s 2 years ago
  12. well then, that makes brembo's even worse value for money
  13. Any results?
  14. Add option1garage on fb, they have 17x9 +10 steel wheels for $130/each They should be able to get you a 235 45 r17 for around $120/tyre
  15. Pretty sure the consensus is that m35's have 14mm bolts like r34's so I'd go that way Stock r34 gtt brakes are 310mm x 30mm Gtr brakes will be slightly bigger at 324mm x 32mm but cost a fair bit more
  16. also, you could get a better car from a private seller for about the same price hell, you can get a manual one for that price
  17. i got a 100,000km service kit and that sticker came with the timing belt (genuine nissan belt) so that means its had the belt changed, i'd just be more concerned about the mismatch between dash and de-rego papers oh, and its a cold pack one too (has 1 reverse light and 1 rear fog light) i'd walk away, a lot of guys get pretty bad rust issues down the road put it on a hoist and have a look
  18. 74,000 kms on the dash, 100,000kms service sticker on the airbox ask to see the jap de-registration papers and if they don't have them walk away
  19. check the pins on the ecu too a guy on the 31 forum had the same issue with his hr31 (stock rb20) changed the ecu, issue still there put the original back in and it came good again! (must have cleaned the pins just removing and re-installing)
  20. kyb make stock shocks, dunno where you'd get them from if you could find a part number most places would be able to get them in (try the kyb website?)
  21. cool, im not up for a few weeks but i'll be around for a month so we could meet up then sometime where abouts do you live?
  22. one thing a lot of people overlook is the coolant temp sensor i use an ecutalk display so i can see whats going on and it gives l/100km too (you just input your injector size and it works it out) best i've ever seen in the stagea was 9.6 l/100km driving from melb to qld, i think that tank was v-power actually around the town sees 12-14 so if i can get that fuel consumption in a 1650kg wagon then others should be able to get the same or better from a 1500kg whale oh, and the guy that has the t88 gtr, i'd get your tuner to tune for low throttle input cos that fuel useage is retarded, unless you were on boost the whole way
  23. I'll be up your way soon if you want to meet up and compare stuff i've only got 1 tiny issue with mine so it would be good to compare to (reasonably stock) are you running stock brakes still? because option1garage do 17 inch steel wheels, they won't clear 4 pots but should clear stock brakes http://www.boostcruising.com.au/forums/index.php?showtopic=789275 that only lists 16's and im pretty sure they were only $100ish/rim on the pre-buy maybe check out JPP (http://www.japaneseperformance.com.au/) and see what they can do too
  24. how much do you want for your twin pipes? i've always wanted some for my stagea surging could also be atessa issues
  25. that JIS place is pretty cheap their slotted 34 rotors are $240, dba's and the like here are about $400 for slotted!
