A 355? No I have not nor am I interested at all. Here is how these cars and perhaps some might be able to understand when it relates to a Nissan. F430 - 35 GTR F360 - R34 GTR - Still pretty good and desirable for those unable to get the latest version F355 - R33 GTR - Big ugly looking to most and definitely compared to the more modern ones. Some like em but only because they own one...
-
I hear the passion with the 355 but personally, they are so old and even the 360 - especially interior wise - shows its age. If I could, the 430 would be a great consideration but its almost twice the price. Regardless of how great the 355 is, why buy a car that makes you feel and look back dated... even if a Ferrari.
-
What I meant was ease of resale. I figure the chances of finding someone who would spend 100 ~ 120K on a personal import GTR to be higher than someone looking to spent that on a personal import Ferrari.

Thank you for all the comments guys.. almost everyone with valid points. Decision has pretty much been made.... GTR it is. To own long term, I would probably gone the 360 but I am looking more at resale value. I dont intend to keep it for long and will send it back to Aus. If not for this, I would have gone F360. The next issue is colour... either silver or black. I cant stand the white as it is too boring - must be the Japan influence, black is the colour of choice! Ive gone to look at a couple and the silver stands out nicely. What you guys think for resale in 18 months? While youre thinking, can I just show you what you can get for the same amount as a new GTR... and for the GTR lovers, here is a Wald modified one for sale right now...

R35 Bride Link There are a few tuners here running aftermarket seats. Also a few rails available. Pls let me know if you need more info. Can I confirm if ADM GTR get heated seats guys?

Just another internet bullshit artist with a difference, Im based in Japan.
-
If I end up buying an R35 here in Japan, I will ask that Nissan Japan honour their warranty for the car back in Aus. Im guessing or hoping that they will. It might be different as I will have originally owned it here. Also going to look at whats needed to change the screen back to English.
-
Virtually will depend on who looks at it.. when you look at it more and more, you start to see more difference. Kinda like when people used to say GTS and GTR are virtually the same!
-
Be warned, whatever you do, never follow or get fooled by those guys. If you want to go to a club, find one where you see other Japanese or foreigners entering.
-
Not to attack your comments here but I am not sure if it is that simple when you are talking about these 2 cars - particularly a Ferrari. Yes if its between a ford or holden ute. Obviously you would want to look at the drive and pose factor when spending so much money. If not, why bother and buy a 911 right? Except I cant afford the new model 911 and the older ones look dated.

Been looking at getting a 34 GTR but the good ones are still quite high up and not too far from a 35 GTR - at least here in Japan anyway. For a similar amount, I can get myself a 2008 35 GTR or a 2001 F1 Modena 360. Not sure which way to go as I would like the technology of the GTR but a 360 is tempting... Your thoughts?

Tokyo is fine Nightcrawler and although I miss Aus at times, I dont miss the police and the defects. Just sold the old girl to a pretty good guy in Adelaide so you guys might see her around. Think he might change the wheels to some black Welds though..
-
Anyone spot this recently?? Its been in storage for 5 years but sold this week.. Hope its taken care of

I personally am leaning towards the blue too but the black looks badass if done well. My wifes uncle has a Nur Spec II in the green and its ok. He used to have an older bayside blue and that was nicer. Here is another question for you guys; Standard late model 34 in original spec with low kms (say 20,000kms) or 99/2000 with a bunch of mods like the one above with mid to high kms around 70,000kms to 80,000kms. Which would you rather buy??

Hi everyone, Looking at getting a 34 GTR and want to ensure I can sell it easier in the future. So between white, black and blue, which do you think has a better resale value and most of interest in Aus? Also why do you think so? Please vote if you can and discuss. Thanks a lot for your input. Here are 3 of the colours with similar setups.

Great car! I should know because it was mine in Tokyo. I exported it back to Aus and sold it to the first owner in SA. Nice to know where it has ended up so far. Good luck with the sale..

Thanks, the S15 days take me back. For those interestes in the GTR - it will come with 12 months of personal parts assistance from Japan. I will be happy to find at parts for the car and them them to you at local cost!

Nissan Skyline GTR Milage: 52,000kms (Engine & clutch less than 5,000kms) Colour: White Location: Adelaide Price: $38,000 Contact: PM or post here. Comments / Modifications: I purchased this car back in 2000 from HKS Kansai and had it shipped to Adelaide. A few extras have been changed since but the tune and modifications are pretty much the same. The car has not been driven since 2004 except for occasional starts and drives to keep it maintained. Major power mods which are done by HKS include; - HKS GT 2530 - HKS metal head gasket kit - HKS step 2 cams (mid to high end set up) - HKS Kansai 550 injectors - Nismo 80 air flow meters - HKS oil cooler - HKS air filters - Yoshio Factory racing radiator - HKS GT intercooler & HKS piping kit - HKS manifold and front pipe - Tanabe Racing muffler - N1 piston (slightly bored with other N1 parts but I cant recall exactly - this was done by Rhemac in Australia) - Nismo Gmax twin plate clutch - HKS boost controller - HKS Drag controller - HKS torque split controller Other mods include; - Ohlins fully adjustables - 19 inch AVS (275 all around - 90% new) - Nismo complete dials - Ganador mirrors - Series 2 Xenons and front lip The car has been in storage for almost 5 years now and I didnt want to sell it but have just bought another GTR in Japan. I currently work here so I will need to let this one go which is a shame. There are many more mods but I honestly cant recall them now. It is absolulte a very fast and loud GTR that needs a good home. Thanks for your interest and please let me know if you need further information. Ken

The great bucket seats - complete with little carbon covers for the ends of the seat rails. More carbon which should have been all the way through. The cloth covers overlap and looks worse in real life IMHO. Would have been better just all carbon or better still with a roll cage! Check out the fins which is part of the SpecV exhaust system.
-
Was there about 6pm for only a while. Seats are great but I was more interested in one of the girls at the gallery to be honest.
-
Went to look at the one above today. Visually, I am not a fan of the wheels and the front lip doesnt really make much difference. The exhaust tips look great and some may not notice this but if you look under the rear bar, you will see the exhaust has fins which probably acts with air flow! Brakes looks and I would imagine work extremely well. The interior is much better with carbon and especially the seats - I love the seats. The colour, I think I prefer the black. All in all an improvement but I dont know if its worth double the price. I wonder if any are set for Aus.

I hated the fact that things have changed for the worse in Adelaide because of the police defects. I hated the fact that 10 years later the city has died down with less people out enjoying themselves because of defect worries... but no need to worry about this anymore in Tokyo.
