So, it turned out that the package that arrived the other day was another item I completely forgot about and not MK. Not to worry, MK actually arrived today. It was declared as a "DVD movie". I haven't opened it yet to see if there was another cover over it but my mate who bought it off the same guy said that the cover was an MK cover. Basically guys, game got through no problem. Let the FATALITIES begin. Mind you, the send date says April 19th - meaning that the Easter break DID stall its arrival...

BUMP Awesome app to share everything to other iPhones. Check it in the store. Literally connect phones by lightly bumping them.

Good news for the gamers in SA. They'll be getting the R18+ rating regardless of what the other states choose at the next voting, which will be held in July. The plan is to completely eliminate the MA15+ category thus clearly widening the gap between adult and child games. This means that all current MA15+ games will become R18+, which shouldn't bother most of us. This will also allow parents to clearly know whether or not games their kids play are actually ok for them to play. And most importantly, as stated by Rau, games currently banned due to the highest rating being only MA15+, will make their way on to shelves. This is how it should have been from the start. http://au.gamespot.com/news/6310534.html?tag=latestheadlines%3Btitle%3B1

I reckon it'll be good. More people to play. Pc whores VS ps3 fanboys... Who will win?????

Game arrived today. Had it sitting at the front door. Yes, that's right, the post office card telling me that no one was home and so I have to pick it up tomorrow after work.
-
Yeah but now with all the PSN crap going on... it may delay or even completely halt the steam addition.
-
For those interested. A comparison of various screenshots between the three platforms. Obviously PC smashes the consoles but still good to check out. Something that does shit me though is how they use component connection for the ps3 screens thus not enabling superwhite and wide colour spectrum. That is actually because of HDCP - prevents HDMI capture. http://au.gamespot.c...topslot;thumb;4 Hover over the selected platform for a couple of seconds to load it.

I just copied the short article from gamespot. Activision revealed plans to bring Escalation to Call of Duty: Black Ops' online experience earlier this month, saying the downloadable add-on would feature four new maps and a mode called "Call of the Dead." The publisher has since been mysterious about what gamers can expect from the zombie-themed mode, and the reason for that secrecy is apparently because it contains a big surprise. Today, Activision shined a light on the Call of the Dead mode, revealing that it will feature a storyline inspired by famed horror director George A. Romero. As seen in a trailer for Call of the Dead (below), the zombie-slaughtering co-op level features a '70s movie aesthetic that sees the four action stars fending off hordes of zombies on and around a ghost ship. Trejo and Rooker know a thing or two about mutilating zombies. Dipping into the game's sizable budget, Activision and Treyarch have pulled out the stops with Call of the Dead's presentation, saying that action stars Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead), Danny Trejo (Machete), and Romero (Night of the Living Dead) himself have lent their voices and likenesses for use in the mode. As with other Call of Duty map packs, the Escalation add-on will debut on Xbox Live, arriving for Microsoft's platform on May 3. Activision has not yet announced when the DLC will be released for other platforms.

The US is getting the FBI to look into the breach as well as many other countries starting to involve their respected law enforcement guys. Yes another fkn gamespot link - they've got so many new articles on the subject just today. http://au.gamespot.com/news/6310487.html?tag=topslot;thumb;1 77 million user accounts - not all have credit card numbers but even if only a quarter of those users have a credit card assigned to their account, that's still over 19 million credit card numbers. These hackers are gonna be so dead after all of this.

PSN data leak cost could top $24 billion - Report http://au.gamespot.com/news/6310436.html?tag=recent_news%3Btitle%3B4 "Even larger could be the cost from the potential information theft. In an article today, Forbes cites data-security research firm The Ponemon Institute as estimating the "cost of a data breach involving a malicious or criminal act" was, on average, $318 per compromised account. Given the most recent PSN population estimate, that formula puts the potential cost as being over $24 billion." That's a lot of fkn money. It could also actually mean the end for Sony. (I couldn't turn off bold font after copy-pasting)

Fkn awesome. I can't wait to get my copy. Too bad I won't be able to play you guys online anytime soon...
-
And so it begins... Alabama man initiates legal action in U.S. District Court in California over Sony's "failure to maintain adequate computer data security of consumer personal data." http://au.gamespot.c...topslot;thumb;1 EDIT - Johns is seeking that the suit be certified as a class action, allowing him and his attorneys to represent all PSN users affected by the outage and breach. Class action suit - now that's something.
-
That's messed up. Even if nothing is stolen. It's annoying to have to frequently check your account balances just to keep the paranoia calm. I hope Sony find these hackers and fk them up... fk them up GOOD.

But the problem is the dlc that for games that is only available via the online extra store.

My guy only had 35 copies. $46 + $16 express post Put it in a DVD case and declared as a movie. Should receive it soon. Post Office shouldn't get public holidays.

+1 MW2 was more quality whereas BlOps is a lot of content rushed into a game.

The latest trailer NSFW - Shows Boobs for a split second - and also limbs flying everywhere

Damn. Beat me to it.

Anonymous have announced they are NOT behind the attack. This is most likely true since they admit to everything they do. The story ive heard is hackers were trying to break into PSN to obtain people's credit card info; which is why Sony flicked the off switch. As much as I was against removing the third party OS feature on the ps3, it's slowly making more sense as to why Sony had made that decision. The last thing ANY company needs is for their customer's personal info to be under threat.

Would have received it by now but unfortunately post office is closed weekends and public holidays... Should get it this week.

Supporters of the R18+ classification for video games in Australia have always argued that the lack of an adult rating leads some games to be incorrectly classified into the MA15+ category. The Australian government backed this view today, releasing a comparison of recent video game classification decisions showing 11 MA15+ titles that are rated either 17+ or 18+ in other territories. http://au.gamespot.com/news/6309272.html?tag=latestheadlines%3Btitle%3B1 This could either be good or really, really bad.
-
Damn, I don't understand why. You mention that it recognises the disc, but doesn't read it... Lube up plenty.
-
I'm just going off rumours from various sites. I know for a fact though, that if you import a large quantity 24+ copies, then it's a $110,000 fine.
-
The punishment is a ~$300 fine for individual copies apparently. Then again, it's illegeal to buy or sell copies, not illegal to have one in your possession. Loophole Personally, I don't think they're going to crack down on it as much as they have you believe, especially when they have more important things other than digital entertainment to worry about.
