  1. I think the PC version is going to kick some major ASS!!!!!!!! Even BF2 on console tended to have some framerate issues... Nevertheless I'm going to hold out before fully upgrading the PC to handle this kind of game.
  2. I paid $147 for it. I'm not sure about the bonus features with this game but I learned after buying gow3 from the us, none of the bonus stuff worked. Even the download stuff needed an American account... The game disc may be region free but be aware of the dlc.
  3. In the latest instalment in GameSpot AU's opinion column, Laura Parker weighs in on Australian Council on Children and the Media CEO Barbara Biggins' claim that Aussie gamers have been unjustly influencing public opinion with "propaganda". http://au.gamespot.c...cks%3Btitle%3B3 And a link from the above article leads to this old article, http://au.gamespot.c...ws/6203703.html
  4. The main plot of this game seems quite interesting, Developer Ed Boon describes the game as an altered re-telling of the events of the original first three Mortal Kombat games (MK, MK II, and MK3).[27] ...Raiden is about to be killed by Shao Kahn, and just before he delivers the last blow, he [Raiden] sends a mental message to his earlier self, and the camera rewinds back to Mortal Kombat 1. The Raiden from Mortal Kombat 1 then gets the message and experiences a premonition. The game then spans Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3, retelling the story with an enlightened Raiden, who has changed the course of events. Eventually, everything you've seen happen before – Liu Kang winning, the guys turning into cybernetic ninjas, has been altered. You might see a cybernetic character who wasn't before, and a different version [of events]. This was taken off wikipedia. The mostc redential source for information...
  5. Id Software is at it once again...
  6. Lol, hey, that had to throw in one more delay for the game; wouldn't be dnf if they didn't. Plus after so ling waiting, an extra month doesn't bother...
  7. It seems as though politicians are starting to become aware of just how STUPID it is to not have R18+ games. The minister in Adelaide mentioned that "the rest of the world is laughing at us because we are behind in the classification system." he also mentioned that the way it is now is "unsafe for children." And so is pushing for a new reform that decides on a rating based on the MAJORITY of votes by the jurisdictions and not a unanimous one. http://www.r18games.com.au/2011/03/government-to-introduce-r18-games-despite-opposition/
  8. http://www.classification.gov.au/www/cob/find.nsf/5c2433d416948a0bca25759f00820d25/5aed2ea32b6af758ca2578300057efbb?OpenDocument Happened a while ago, but it's good to know that the original version and not some crappy edited version will be coming to Aussie shelves.
  9. Will be good to see if the very much needed new set of coilpacks will have much effect on the graph.
  10. For the God of War fans, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tt05QoHNeow And some actual gameplay,
  11. You're system could be running dx11 but your graphics card may not support the full features.
  12. It's done. Walked past EB today and decided to pre-order DNF - Balls of Steel Edition. Got an access code to all bonus stuff... including the demo (when it's released). Can't wait for this game!!!
  13. [quote name=ClutchBurndout-' timestamp='1300745012' post='5724470] in dx11 that road is retarded, theres no way anyone could walk on that without twisting an ankle Haha. Fk driving on it too. Stiff suspension + road like that = fkd spine; and forget it if your busting for a piss.
  14. And after playing through the demo... they give you a glimpse of the game.
  15. Ok well downloaded it... I'm not just saying this coz I'm a fan, but the game is f**kING AMAZING!!! Friends are over who've never played any ml and they love it. I can actually see why it should have an R rating...
  16. Well apparently that's what dx11 is all about. It's basically dx10 but with completely revamped tesselation properties. I think instead of having multiple levels/layers of models, they have only two. Dx10 and earlier would have the lowest detailed model up close covered by the next level, covered again by another level and so on; therefore all levels are loaded for up close models even though we only see the last level/layer. Dx11 on the other hand will only load the highest detailed model close up until a certain distance and then change to the low detailed model.
  17. NO FKNG WAY!!! The one week I DON'T check my US account, there's an MK9 demo out.............. Thanks for the info
  18. I'm sure if we ask the merchant to package it and NOT display anything about MK9 on the outside, then it shouldn't be a problem. Unless the disc is shaped like some sort of sharp object; which I don't think is very likely...
  19. Wouldn't hurt to take it to a tuner and get him to take a look. Better off spending a few dollars on getting it checked out before anything major goes wrong. If all is well after observation, chuck it on the dyno and get your afr checked. As for the ECU, I don't know much on that one.
  20. Serious?? So the 6850 has all the same components as the 6870 and the only difference is the just firmware?? That is AWESOME.
  21. My brother found a much needed option theyva added to the latest update (for the ps3 anyway). From the main menu, select multiplayer. From the mp menu, scroll down and select options. There should be an option to get directly into multiplayer when you initially start the game. This saves a lot of time instead of having to always wait for everything to load and "read hdd" when you're at the main menu.
  22. The game is available for download. I just played it on the ps3 and I must say If you were a big fan if the movies you're definitely gonna be feeling nostalgic. It's no blockbuster but it's still entertaining. The style if play is third person. You walk around selecting different objects to interact. The places are all familiar locations from the movies. The voices are surprisingly done well too. If you were like me and always wanted a fourth movie after the trilogy ended, then this is a must gave game.
  23. Will be there. Should be good. Hopefully the weather won't be shiit.
  24. I've started looking into graphics cards and have been wondering whether to go a high end older card or a mid-range newer card. One factor is the directx support. I had no idea what the difference was until I stumbled across this thread (yes, it's from 2009) that explains and shows the differences very well. http://www.overclock...-vs-dx-9-a.html I tried using the ol' search button but didn't find anything explaining the differences. Here are some pics of the same scene, but under the different versions. You'll notice that the differences between DX9 and 10 are minimal with only better shading and light DX11 is like a whole different league; more 3Dness so to speak - the biggest change is the detail in the road. I know it's an old subject and I'm a couple of years behind but I figured it's good to know the differences. DX11 is definitely the way to go. Windows XP - DX9 ONLY Windows Vista - DX10 (can be updated to DX11) Windows 7 - DX11
