  1. Dead space 1 - plasma cutter all the way. Using only this gun i had clocked it on impossible mode. Dead space 2 - went zealot mode as soon as i bought the game - using the two guns mentioned above. A tip would be to keep the force gun equipped. This way if anything jumps in front of you, blast it away to give yourself time to quickly assess the situation and switch to your preferred weapon. also works well clearing the area against multiple enemies. Remember to wait for them to get really close. Generally one shot will blow them apart. Hardcore mode is next. I need to find the time. Also I'll end up smashing everything if I died and had to restart three chapters back.
  2. Actually on further inspection, they apparently had L4D2 blacklisted too and it didn't stop anyone from getting it into the country. Also, if it's packaged, most likely customs won't open it; unless you import a whole heap of them. One user commented, "you get a $220 fine for bringing in food and plants that could completely destroy our agriculture and economy but you get a $300 fine for bringing in a game that is no more violent than the one that a lot of us played at the arcade when we were 9 years old......that makes sense." He makes a good point there.
  3. f**kING BULLSHIT!!!!! I've had it up to HEEEEERREE with their classifications http://au.gamespot.com/news/6303984.html?tag=latestheadlines%3Btitle%3B2 Australian Customs and Border Protection Service adds refused classification fighter to blacklist; copies detected to be confiscated, fines up to A$110,000 issued. It's going to be difficult to even import the game now.
  4. I found it a lot easier than the first game. My main method of attack is wait for the necros to get close, then blow them apart with the force gun. Use the pulse rifle to take care of the pack (kids with claws). The dlc is pretty good too.
  5. Au Fords were actually very mechanically sound. You shouldn't have many problems with it, mechanically that is - It had the lowest warranty issues of all family sedans during it's time (even less than the Toyota Camry and unlike the VT, which had the highest warranty issues.) Their manual gearbox is also unbreakable. Power-wise the au S1 and 2 left much to be desired. at ~175kw The s3 on the other hand was 220kw. Torque was awesome though so for towing you shouldn't have a problem. If it's for a good price as you say, then go for it.
  6. Nice work Div. Your style is exactly like my brother's on the ps3 (except he gets less deaths) This is my best win. It'll never happen again... Total game time was only a couple of mins.
  7. Should be fkn awesome.
  8. When you have a bit of time, check out the tuurkey thread in wasteland. It explains why it becomes the sphincter of the universe.
  9. So that means, every religion is wrong...
  10. im interested in screamer pipe mate. where are you located?? PM me details and phone number. Thanks
  11. I finally watched the trailer and all I have to say is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! I love everything zombie and I have no idea why it took me so long to watch it. As for banning in Australia, unfortunately we have non-gamer people in the government which means they have no fkng idea how to rate games. Fear 2 was banned and then allowed to pass without any editing. L4d2 censorship was ridiculous and there is absolutely no chance this game is getting through without removing the good bits. As I've said many times before, it's only the Aussie retailers who will suffer. Gamers can still acquire the game through other methods...
  12. So the power to become one DOES exist.......................
  13. lol... and yet, my thread has no replies
  14. http://au.gamespot.com/news/6301153.html?tag=latestheadlines%3Btitle%3B1 Continent's customs officials ordered to seize shipments of Sony's console as part of ongoing patent litigation with Korean electronics company. LG took the nuclear option earlier this month in its ongoing patent litigation with Sony, petitioning the US International Trade Commission to block PlayStation 3 and Bravia TV imports to the United States. While the result of that petition remains to be determined, LG has claimed victory in a similar complaint put before the US ITC's European counterpart. The PS3 may soon be hard to come by in Europe. The Guardian reports today that LG has won a preliminary injunction in its ongoing patent dispute with Sony, and customs officials have been ordered to seize all PS3 imports into the UK and continental Europe. The ruling, which was reached by a civil court in the Hague, dictates that all PS3 imports must be confiscated as they are imported for a period of at least 10 days. According to The Guardian, tens of thousands of PS3s have already been seized by customs officials in the Netherlands. Rotterdam and Schiphol, both located in the Netherlands, are the primary import points for PS3s coming into the UK and Europe, and consoles are currently being held in Dutch warehouses. The report notes that Sony imports approximately 100,000 units into Europe a week. However, PS3s won't immediately begin disappearing from store shelves, as most retailers have between two and three weeks of stock on hand. LG's current options, The Guardian reports, are to extend the 10-day injunction, or to request a court order to have Sony's confiscated consoles destroyed. Sony's US arm had not responded to a request for comment as of press time. However, speaking to The Guardian, a Sony Europe representative said, "We are currently looking into this matter and cannot make any comments at this point in time." The patent dispute began late last year, when Sony filed a complaint with international courts over seven alleged patent infringements by LG, which is based in South Korea. At the heart of the complaint were a number of LG's mobile phones, including the new Windows Phone 7-enabled Quantum. Sony also targeted LG's Blu-ray players as part of a civil lawsuit. However, LG soon struck back with patent-infringement claims of its own. One claim targeted the PS3's Blu-ray technology, specifically as it pertains to how the console's media format works with multiple data streams and data reproduction. Sony's alleged TV infringement deals with high-definition receivers, as well as signal receiving and processing.
  15. I don't play cod on a pc. Is it difficult to get ratios like div's on pc?? If so, good work div! Ratios like these are generally easy to get on the psn. Btw has anyone played against the solaris crew?? We beat them good the other night in s&d.
  16. New DLC for Dead Space 2. Unlike the COD games, where you pay $15-$20 for a few maps, this DLC is under $10 and features new campaign, new characters, new voice acting and so on. And, according to gamespot, it's actually well worth getting it. http://au.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/deadspace2severed/news.html?sid=6300924&om_act=convert&om_clk=picks&tag=picks;title;9&mode=previews
  17. WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is FKNG stupid!!! But, fair enough... I'll just buy it from overseas. Not my problem if the classification board like to deny aussie retailers a fair trade.
  18. Hey mate, these still available?? Can you post some pics?? Where abouts are you located?? Cheers
  19. If Jordan doesn't get it, let me know please.
  20. Is it a series 2? If so, I need the RHS indicator trim. How much? Also, where are you located?
  21. Google is your friend (or youtube in this case). There are heaps of guides to setting it up. The same thing applies even if your router is different.
  22. It's official; Sony have started PERMANENTLY banning "jailbroken" PS3 systems. First you will receive this email, "A circumvention device and/or unauthorized or pirated software currently resides on your PlayStation®3 system. Immediately cease use and remove all circumvention devices and delete all unauthorized or pirated software from your PlayStation®3 system. Failure to do so will result in termination of your access to the PlayStation®Network and access to Qriocity services through your PlayStation®3 system." And if you do nothing about it, you will then receive this email, "Notice: Access to the PlayStation®Network and access to Qriocity services through your PlayStation ®3 system has been terminated permanently due to the use of unauthorized circumvention devices and unauthorized or pirated software on your PlayStation®3 system. This use violates the terms of both the "System Software License Agreement for the PlayStation®3 System" and the "Terms of Services and User Agreement" for the PlayStation®Network/Qriocity and its Community Code of Conduct provision." http://au.gamespot.com/news/6299760.html?tag=latestheadlines%3Btitle%3B1 <<< rest of article Personally, good on them for banning people with pirated software, but it's bullshit for the people who just wanted to use their ps3 for their own programming.
  23. +1 Probably next month... that's if the game still comes out in May as they say it is.
  24. As Ash said, your online play is affected by your latency/ping. Might be the area you're in. I use Optus cable $79 plan (with homephone combo) and I get 7ms latency on games such as CSS and usually have an awesome connection on the PSN too. The upload speed isn't too bad either. I'll be on torrents as well as play online and have no problems. Actually, did you setup up your xbox internet connection manually or automatically. If auto, then your xbox will be using a dynamic address and this will affect speeds (and ping) if other people in your house are also using the net. Set it up manually and give your xbox a static address outside the dynamic address limit (google/youtube for instructions). It's very, very easy to do. This should fix up the problems you're copping whilst playing online.
  25. Thanks Craig. I just got back from Sydney and had no access to a pc to copy the article... apart from my phone.
