I'm assuming you've got a slim PS2 (since you need the 8.5V transformer) whereas the fat ones have an internal transformer and so use the same power cord that comes with pretty much all portable cd players/boomboxes and other electronic equipment.

Yeah I got a bit carried away with that one... I agree with you about the keyboard and mouse thing though. fps games with a controller need some getting used to. Depend what lind of game you're playing really. I prefer sport and fighters with a controller rather than a keyboard.

Many companies have worked out how to efficiently port to PS3 without major changes compared to their X360 versions. A factor that should be taken into consideration is the programming company itself... eg EA port their games pretty much perfectly these days with games (such as FIFA, Madden and Dead Space to name a few) running smoothly and without jittery graphics. Even Infinity Ward near perfectly ported Modern Warfare 2 to the ps3. Come treyarch with black ops... their porting was horrible (unlike world at war); but then again, blops has had nothing but bugs on all platforms anyway. And with a budget as big as what they had (can't remember figures) They should have fixed most of these bugs by now (or at least update the coding on the ps3 version to at least make it run better). FIFA 08 and Assassin's Creed ranm like shit when they came out on ps3 - the developers then at least still worked and released updates which made them run much better. Main point being after all this ranting is sometimes the programmers are crap

Don't know why, but for some stupid reason when I read the topic, instead of reading Brink, I read Blinx (yes, the time-travelling cat http://au.gamespot.com/xbox/action/blinxthetimesweeper/review.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=gssummary&tag=summary%3Bread-review)... and so thought they brought out a new Blinx game - until I read about warzones in which case didn't sound like Blinx at all............................................. But Brink seems pretty awesome. Love anything Sci-fi.

The xbox supports 3d games too. Apparently, black ops 3d plays better than the ps3 version.

Yeah too bad michael j fox couldn't voice it. I'm surprised they actually got the original doc but according to what the review says, turnpikes characters are pretty close to sounding like the original actors anyway

I'm a huge Back to the Future fan and I'm sure heaps of people in this forum are too. A new B2TF game has been released on PC. It's based after the third film (so new story) as well as using Christopher Lloyd to voice Doc Emmet Brown. Surprisingly it's received a 7.5 rating on gamespot.com which generally means it's decent enough to enjoy. http://au.gamespot.com/pc/action/backtothefuture/review.html It's not a major title but more of a fun game to get if you're a fan of the movies.

Halo came out on pc. I had a copy... Never installed it though.

So what exactly did you do back in the day?? I know going out has always been expensive but that wasn't my point. My point is video games have prevented people from actually leaving the house. We go on holidays And there's always someone that brings a ps3 or 360 and we spend more time playing that than going to the beach and getting some sun... Whether I'm a beach person or not. Online play has only worsened it because now people play against mates yet live like freakin hermits.

It actually is kind of a bad thing. Especially with students. Only a few years ago socializing with your mates would be kicking a ball or going for bike rides. These days it's all jumping online and seeing who gets the best k/d ratios. Even i, on many occasions, have preferred to just stay home and jump online than go out and have a few drinks with the boys.

Check out my last post on the 'cod memorable moments' topic in this forum and I explain a good way to absolutely destroy others. Regarding actual dates for the map pack, i haven't come across anything certain but the most mentioned date is 1st feb on the 360. Nothing yet for the other platforms though.

A few reputable websites mention that the "first strike" map pack comes out in feb. As usual though it'll be coming out on the 360 before the ps3 and pc. It will feature 4 multiplayer levels and another zombies level which will be called "ascension". It would be better if these were expansion packs rather than map packs. As in, include new weapons and/or extra campaign levels... Just something to make it interesting.

The demo is finally out. Graphics have improved and gameplay is more smooth and fluidlike. The necromorphs will drop after a few shots only to get up again when you get close. Blood and sfx are more gory too.

All in all, Black ops has been a bit of a let down. Patches do nothing and the freezing occurs way too often. It seems as though treyarch had the budget but their programmers are too fkn shiit. Mw2 ftw.

I used clonedvd to copy my t2 region 1 DVD to a dual layer disc. Works perfect in the ps3. Takes a bit of time though...

This match only took me 2:38. I never have, nor will I EVER do this well again. My k/d ratio is shiit but the everyone else's score is quite embarassing. My gameplan, besides a bit of luck, were the killstreaks I used; spy-plane, blackbird and then dogs to do the rest of the work. Oh, and the hardline perk And no, the others didn't arrive late in the game. seven of them were in it from the beginning. If you add up the total deaths and kills, it's only one off. The stupid game will only let me render 30 seconds of gameplay to show a full vid...

There's a simple fix to this. Simply go to - SETTINGS > Music Settings > Output Frequency Change to 48kHz... Problem solved There's a reason for this but I cbf explaining it right now. You can now start slideshows and browse the web whilst listening to music. Many games off the PS Store also let you play your music while playing the game.

My elite class is marathon, sleight of hand and lightweight. I usually get a 4:1 ratio with this class. Clean it up good...
