You're right. Most games on the PS3 play natively at 720p. Some games will say on the box they can be played at 1080i (that's just for the old school HDTVs that don't support 720p). Otherwise it will play at 1080p (or automatically 1080i if your tv doesn't support 1080p) if the game is designed to play natively at 1080p. I hope I haven't confused everyone. Of course you can also force the PS3 to play at 1080p by unchecking the 720p option in the "Display Settings". This means the PS3 upscales the game. Some people prefer to play 720p games at 720p, others prefer to upscale them to 1080p... It's purely subjective.

Oo0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitt She's not bad... not bad at all, for a CG chick. I wonder how they would have been in the office whilst designing her... Cheers for that

My web page wouldn't load so I clicked "Add reply" a few times. Apologies for the above flooding. Pics would be nice I can't wait much longer. MUST... RESIST... URGE.....................

I'm getting it this week Try it on the hardest mode... good fun. Get yourself a swear jar and I'll guarantee by the end of the game, you could probably buy three more copies of the GoW

I need to clarify that the game is actually 720p and not 1080p. Originally it was going to be 1080p but the game became so epic that the only way to make it run smoothly was at 720p... Which still looks F**KING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should have told her she can play with your boxset if you could play with hers The blood and metal EP is downloadable via the PSN. I think one of the tracks could be "The End Begins (To Rock)" which was a free download for guitar hero 3 on the PS3 (x-box had some halo song) It sounds pretty awesome... Mine should arrive next week *fingers crossed* CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm still waiting for mine It's going to be an epic "opening of boxset" for you...

They still do the gutter test these days as well. It was painful/awesome to see the FG XR6T run though the test. Unfortunately I can't remember because it's been a couple of years since working in durability, but I do know that there is some requirement where the vehicle must drive into the gutter and either not lose any fluids and/or be able to still drive safely off the road... or it could be something else; we only did the test once while I was there.

In that case, all you need to do after connecting the ethernet cable to the PS3, is bridge the network connection in the laptop. Google will come up with hows to do this. It's fairly straight forward.

"By the gods", that is cheap. Why haven't I ever heard of this site before?? I could have saved myself a lot of money... At that price, it's a must buy!!!

Yes, that's the size I meant. I was a bit lazy to put the "cm" on all dimensions PS3 games are all region free; so NTSC will work on PAL systems and vice versa. Unfortunately this only accounts for PS3 games and not PS1 or PS2 games, or even blu-ray and DVDs as they must all be PAL. I've attached a couple of actual screenshots of the game.
-
Unfortunately EB had sold out in only a week So I'm settling for an unofficial trilogy edition... the American NTSC version doesn't include the collection (1&2) but the seller I've bought it off is supplying it along with the Ultimate edition. The $400+ version is the PAL official trilogy. Pandora's box is quite big too; 21*27*15cm...

If you're talking about the mobile wireless broadband that plugs into the USB, then the PS3 cant do it. It can only go online via network access (ethernet or wireless router). There are plenty of tutes online you can find through google to get it running.

Major Global Crash With Old-school "fat" Ps3
EeLeYe replied to EeLeYe's topic in PC & Games Discussion
His PS3 should be working fine now. If he's having problems with going online, the cause would be something else other than the global crash. Re-check the network settings on the PS3 or the actual router's settings. -
Major Global Crash With Old-school "fat" Ps3

Didn't microsoft release an updated 360 that supposedly doesn't get the RROD?? I'm sure there are a few people even on here that bought these "fixed" systems and still copped the red rings of death... either that, or the disc tray f*cks up. search 'disc tray modification' on youtube and check out the dodgy fixing methods.; tis a good laugh, it is. -
Here's the epic trailer in 720p. This clip comes from realtime gameplay and is not a cut-scene. So everything you see can be achieved whilst playing the game. <<<<< a MUST SEEAnd for those who are interested, here's a breakdown analysis of the all tech involved in the above clip and in the GoW3 game in general http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0lsYMg8Xqo

I was in Thailand during the pre-order period So I instead pre-ordered the NTSC Ultimate pack :) The PAL version is going for heaps on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/God-of-War-III-3-Ul...=item2a05354acf CAN'T WAIT!!! And Pat, you're right... constant 60fps most of the time which drops to 30fps for the more demanding bits. A link to Playstation Universe GoW3 page which explains this http://www.psu.com/[email protected] "In the end, there will be ONLY chaos"

Nice car dude!!! Let us know how she goes this Saturday...

Is it ball bearing or plane bearing?? Plane bearing turbos usually need a bit of a run-in (about 100km). Mine used to take a while to before it began to build boost but now it feels fine. You may also want to enlarge the oil feed to the turbo as plane bearings require more oil than stock and ball bearing turbos. Regarding the louder sounding BOV - this would be due to the extra volume of air that the turbo is forcing through your intake. More air is being released when you throttle off, resulting in a louder sound. EDIT - Try lowering the boost from 15psi. You may find this will feel better as the ECU doesn't compensate much above 12psi...

God of War 3 is coming out in a couple of weeks and in case you haven't tried the game out yet, the E3 demo is now available at the PSN store for download. It's a large one at about 2.7GB but totally worth it. The demo itself already pwns the first 2 GoW games and also SH!TS all over Dante's Inferno. Just a note, it's only at 720p and has a couple of lag issues as it was released last year. The full game though will be running at 1080p and a constant 60fps. It's gonna be F**KING EPIC!!!!! Kratos ftw...

Earlier today, the fat PS3's crashed "millennium bug" style. The known issues are: - Clock/Date reset to 1/1/2000 - No access to PSN - Games with trophy support may/will not work - Games purchased through PSN may/will not work - Dynamic and some other themes are listed as "corrupted data" The slim PS3's did not get affected; only the fat PS3's. Sony have yet to come up with a fix for the problem but have addressed it. It was rumoured that someone hacked PSN and introduced a trojan but that has since been denied by Sony. Unfortunately, no COD for a while

My stock one was leaking at 16psi. I tried blocking the leak hole but it only held til 18psi. I ended up buying a GTR bov. It holds any boost level plus looks standard so you won't get defected for having it. Just know that the GTR bov has a larger exit diameter than the GTSt bov. As a result, it won't fit directly onto the current return pipe. You should find one easily in the For Sale section of the forums. I picked mine up for $50 + $10 p&h.
-
If you 're worried about how much power you can achieve, you shouldn't be. My car made 250rwkw with one of these, plus, it has excellent response - meaning that the curvature of the return pipe still allows the air to achieve a smooth flow. The one in the pic is a blitz so it should be fairly efficient.
