Leaked official Map, Although it doesn't show much regarding the actual places you can visit and things you can do. For higher res.

Since EA appointed their new CEO, the company has changed a lot of their shitty policies and attitude towards the customer. A big PLUS in my books. BF4 should be awesome!
-
I'd say if they did a sequel, it'll be a spin-of with new characters and such. I was quite satisfied with the ending. I don't think they could have ended the game any better than they did.
-
This link gives a brief description.http://au.gamespot.com/news/black-ops-ii-apocalypse-dlc-revealed-6412709 I'm assuming it's ending the story from the "origins" trailer of which, if you're a massive zombies fan, you should check out.
-
The new zombies map, "origins" looks as though they might be ending the zombies series. I'm interested to see how the story pans out. Apparently the original four characters are in it too

When I get back to Aus I'll be having a crack at survivor. Hard was hard enough WITH listening mode, can't imagine playing it without. As if they remove it for survivor! You'd have to actually learn what the AI do and approach each section with a lot of patience.

Easy is too easy. Hard difficulty is the way to go. Makes this game that much more intense. Let us know when you finish it. I couldn't put the controller down when I was playing it.

That's great news! And I had just pre-ordered the UK version off ozgameshop on Monday night lol. "The Australian Classification Board awarded the highest rating to Rockstar’s open-world adventure, noting high impact drug use. The game also exhibited strong impact themes, violence, language, nudity and sex." Even with the R rating, the ACB is still inconsistent with their classifications.

Yes; 17th September A cool new feature I noticed in the latest trailer is that they're adding the Max Payne 3 combat system. This is a massive PLUS for the game - the combat was always a bit crappy.
-
I wouldn't worry too much at the moment about GTAV; it has yet to receive a rating. However, knowing that the game is quite large, there may be a chance that it'll contain something of which the ACB won't approve. We'll find out soon enough if we'll be getting a baby version.
-
Lol, on paper, yes; the PS4 wins. However, both are still technically similar, so it'll end up on which has the features and games you're more interested to use/buy. The ability to seamlessly switch from one game to the other is a plus.
-
We do, but they've still managed to ban a couple of games that weren't banned overseas. Saints Row 4 being one of them. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/416130/saints-row-4-banned-in-australia-volition-removing-offending-content/ We're instead getting a slightly modified version because the ACB was afraid adults may begin to mimic what they see in video games.
-
Lol. I'm sure they'll find something in the game that's "inappropriate". If that's the case, people will probably end up inporting the uncut version.

The PS4 will dedicate approx. 3.5GB to the OS and leave games to play with 5.5GB. This equals to 9GB you say? That's because developers can utilise 1GB from the OS when required. http://www.geek.com/games/ps4-gives-5-5gb-of-ram-to-games-out-of-8gb-1563583/ The xbone will have 3GB for OS and 5GB for games. Will it make much difference in the end? Perhaps

YES YES YES YES !!!!!!!!! I was going to start a thread on it but didn't think there'd be many forum members interested. The OP pretty much explained everything. I didn't know what to expect from it - Story, gameplay, soundtrack, sound effects, graphics; they are all excellent. For those hesitating, watch the prologue gameplay on YouTube and I guarantee you'll be wanting to play it. I haven't been this hooked on a game since the first MGS. Unlike most publishers who are afraid to risk it and will only produce sequels on existing franchises/IPs this late in a console's life, Naughty Dog have proven that it can work. There's a good reason it's been the number one selling game of 2013, despite only being available on the one platform - at least until GTAV. The multiplayer is really fun and requires a lot of cooperation with your team. A headset is very helpful. You don't get the CoD type of crowd, which is always a plus. But it stays true to the campaign style of gameplay. I cannot emphasize my recommendation for playing this game. Go and buy it, right now! ...what are you waiting for? f**king go already!

Indeed… HOLY SHIT BALLS, indeed.

Here's another video to bore everyone's socks off, It's a lengthy vid, and probably more suited/interesting to the techheads on these forums. Mark Cenry, PS4 Chief Architect explains why they've chosen the specific hardware for the PS4 - learning from their mistakes with PS3, it turns out, things like unified memory and x86 architecture were all requested by the developers. He also explains their two options of either using a total 256bit GDDR5 RAM VS 128bit GDDR5 Ram plus a small amount of eDRAM and why they chose the route they did. The first half is mostly about his prodigy background and how Sony evolved from the PS1 all the way through to the PS3; if you want PS4 specific, it starts at ~34:00.
-
Excellent; my evil plan is slowly falling into place.
-
You won't be able to use older gen discs on the ps4. The system will only be capable of playing older games via the psn; similar to how ps2 games work on the ps3 today.
-
They don't necessarily have problems, but the benefits of a SSD aren't recognised as much with the PS3. Comparison videos and reviews of using SSD in a PS3 and most of them will conclude that it's a waste of money.

Microsoft does away with all used game restrictions and 24-hour online check-ins; region-locks also no longer in place.

For now I'll probably end up going with the PS4, but still best to wait until both systems are out. Since the XB1 kinect is a primary part of the console it'll be better utilized than how it was for the 360 so I'm keen to see how well (or bad) they do this. Both also have awesome exclusives too and will require payment to play online multiplayer.
