  1. ahhh, simon did a 13.1 on standard turbo. So why did you buy cam gears? to get that cool boy racer look? To move the torque curve? Not many people are going to keep their cars as they are , the hybred cores are not 'huge' they are a reasonable size, but they flow good. Building power? maybe if you dont stall or boost off the line? Have we got a dyno output of your car? The standard cooler has been shown to suck after much more then 8psi, your pushing 10psi through it which is likely to be much more at the turbo.
  2. raasclaat : Get the hybred front mount if places are not stuffing you around you should be able to get it piped and installed for 1400, you have to bargain with them, im talking 800 for the cooler dont pay more, and 600 for the install, you dont have to go to a tuning house back yarders do just as good job, usually heaps cheaper. Then add some timing and up the boost and you will be beating rev210 and this conversation will be over. some type of boost cut etc defender will be needed, there are some people that will do this to the ecu for pretty cheap. Or you could put in cam gears, untuned. yeah that would be good.
  3. Or just go for brand new hybred intercooler from a non rip off place they shouldnt cost anymore then 800-900 dollars, try works in bently, if they quote 1000 dollars, for just the cooler walk out.

  8. A word of warning, Dont pay too much, for 23 you should be able to get a very very very very nice car. Myself i would buy privately, a bit more of a risk, but the reward will be a better deal, im not sure at the moment but someone from the forum may be selling their R33. All in all is im saying dont go to a yard and pay 30k for a skyline with a bodykit, exhaust and SAFC

Do you really think he needs ebc greenstuff? just cause its a cool brand and good for racing, i doubt he will really reach the potential that those pads require, the usually reply is bendix ultimate im not sure if they are that great or that available. For around 150 bux "RG" pads will be about it, ive heard a couple of good stories about them, dunno the bad though. Simon at works auto in bently should be able to point you in the right direction, perhaps i dunno i just want to get him off his lazy ass

  15. transplant of my engine into a r32? well i think the engine in the r32 could do exactly the same as my engine. Yeah the nick is old but the car is a sedan, and in a r32 i dunno what it would do probably a bit slower? heheh who knows
  16. i think SAU has rising/sunk to a new level, family communication via a thread on r31s.. I spose its not too bad though, could have been an r33 thread.

  18. Rev your target quarter mile should be 13.8 thats what i got in my pintara wagon, also red, then you can have the SAU red wagon record
  19. Its called knife edge tuning, Tuning a car till it pings then backing it back, its pretty stupid but most will do it for that last kw, Any change in conditions and your car will start pinging, should tune a little more safely.
  20. Longer Wheel studs are also your friend.
  21. hmm Try lusing your licence and getting a yellow sticker on same night, make a couple of exams seem a little easier. School uni tafe, will mean very little in a couple years, the difference between a 80 and a 70 will make no difference.
  22. I didnt break anything that wasnt broken beforehand. As for the price, the initial post was a question im still not sure if im selling, though i do want to start my next project.

  24. Yeah, im looking at around 12k but that will be after its all fixed up if someone offered me 9k tomorrow as is. i would have to contemplate it hard. Im bored again need new project.
