  1. Sounds like afm problem of some type either plug is a little dodgy or the afm itself is buggered
  2. hmm thats rather amusing . It has a bosch 044 as a oil pump? and is running a microtech mtx8 aparently. They stopped making them about 4 years ago However if its even half legit and true, its a steal
  3. South of the boarder down mexico way
  4. hey kim, shut the hell up unless you have something to add. And on the topic of cut and shut plenums, i wouldnt bother, just get intelligent cooler piping done and the difference is barely noticable
  5. Went to the panics on sunday night, they are damn good. You know, real music?
  6. Link actually do do a plug in ecu for gtst skylines, autronic do some plug ins but only for wrx and evos at the moment i think. The old version of microtech did a plug in as well. See insted of limiting the discussion to what only a few want to discuss its better if you open everyones eyes to what is available. Even if it is wire in the end costs are not that much different.
  7. 1450 is a good price for a 25 box Ken from a business person, well done. I was expecting a 2k price when you said expensive. You may as well go a one piece tailshaft if you need to mod your tailshaft anyway. I have to say that the 25 gearbox conversion on my 31 was the best mod that i did. Sean
  8. All tastes and looks aside, you would have to go for the 180sx at 15k, should be able to get it for around 14k (could take 1k of most of the advertised prices) that leaves you 6k (going on 21k budget) to fix most of the things you dont like about (rims body kit etc etc) and to spend on brakes (4 pots fit easy) and seats (ugh stock s13 seats) THen money left over to spend on ecu injectors and turbo and it would easily be the fastest of the 3. However ive seen you post these on another forum and believe you should be making the decision yourself rather then ask what you should buy, drive them, give em some stick choose the one YOU like to own and drive. What another person thinks of your car should matter very little. ps, top end matters bulk on the street and on the track
  9. While not knowing the exact rb20 or rb25 gear ratios (I think the first gear is 3.5xx:1 and very similar between the two boxes) the t56 is built for low revving big torque v8s so i think it would be over geared something cronic, even with 4.11s. Also not to argue with SK but the vl turbo gearbox is more similar to the rb25det box then the rb20det box. They even share designations as the MX7 and MX7a. The non turbo vl gearboxs r31 gearboxes and r32 5 speeds are all very similar. VL turbo gearboxes have been known to hold 500 rwhp. However the gearchanges in the vl turbo box are pretty awful, where the r33 box is nice and the r34 is very very very very nice. Doh, or what discopotato just said.
  10. Sst vs the world thank you.
  11. size has nothing to do with resolution. the z32 has more scope for more power, however im not sure how it works with the safc, if its similar to the pfc then that should solve if the afm is maxing out. The size of the afm will not restrict anything until its the smallest part of the intake tract, have a look at the size of your turbo inlet, smaller then your afm aint it?
  12. They do?
  13. Hmm see i would have thought arrogant would have been the best way to describe sst-steve
  14. put standard mags on and see if problem goes away.
  15. Dont drive the car with an expired yellow, ring up the licencing department number 13 xxxx and get a temporary permit only cost 18 bux or so. better then the 600 dollar fine for driving with an expired yellow
  16. Then why did he topic this thread with 511 rwhp? There is only one tosser here and it aint hungry6
  17. The thing is if the car goes and does 128-131 mph trap speed everyone here will acknowledge yup that sounds about right, the time itself isnt too important, therefore the setup isnt either. However if it goes and does a 12.2 at 120 we are all going to be thinking hmm sounds a bit low, no matter what excuses are used.
  18. yeah but need4..... you know the rest
  19. Huge boost? Overboost cut wasnt set? wolf has that right?
  20. Nothing is proven on the dyno.
  21. Nd4spd has done a 10? wow didnt know that tidbit. how about paul whats his fastest time? or any other r33 with bulk power which has come out of your workshop? seen an 11 yet?
  22. So when are these huge horsepower standard injector wolfs going to pull a 10 then steve? 511 rwhp is ample. Oh no quarter mile times are indisputable, we couldnt have that. Lets hope this one doesnt overboost/blow headgasket/bend rod/breakclutch/break gearbox/. Hmm with some simple calculations of this super tune, the fuel economy must be awsome. Usually std rb25 inj run out around 370 rwhp max? But you can get 511 out of the same fuel or 138 % better, and you are saying this without huge fuel rail pressure etc etc, therefore i have deduced you are using some arcane magic on it, and this should also cause fuel economy to increase by 138 %, to around 7 litres per 100kms. WOW!
  23. fulle sick subwoofa
  24. Is your car still pinging? If so, i hope you bring a tow truck as well
  25. How do you tune for 400 rwhp++ on the street?
