  4. thankyou... so u think with all of that i should get 250rwkw/350hp?? what is the benefit of getting a nisstune over remap?? or getting power fc?? both the same or can power fc give u more?? cheers, ben
  5. thanks mate... so u reckon the rb25 turbo is pretty good?? are there any other turbos that will go straight on like the rb25 in which i wont need external wastagate and dump pipe etc but can slot straight on and get more power than i would in a rb25 turbo?? im guessing high flow rb25 turbo will be a good option? anyone have any idea how much it is to get them high flowed?
  6. Hey everyone i have a 4dr R32 RB20DET and want to have a go at giving it some big power as cheap as possible.. It currently has front mount, bov, turbo control and timer, 3 inch catback exhaust.. mainly looking at the engine mods for now.. getting coilovers this week I only have about a grand at moment but want to know how much needed to spent over time to get what i'm after.. For now I want to put a bigger turbo on it but just one that will slot straight in with the least other work needed.. I know i can get rb25 turbo and put it straight on nothing else needed.. is there any other i can put on without needing external wastegate etc?? will give me much more power?? I am then going to put split fire coil packs in.. (much power difference putting these in?) from there i want to get after market computer?? im guess power fc, get 900cc injectors or thereabouts, bigger fuel pump, bigger afm.. im hoping i can do all this for few more grand and hope ill be looking at about 350hp?? Let me know your thoughts.. And also if u have turbo u can sell me which will suit what im after..

  9. Hey guys.. just a quick question, i know there have been alot of posts about the hicas light problem but none seem to answer my question. I have owned my r32 89 skyline for about 5 or 6 months now and had no problems until just the start of this week where i start the car up and the hicas light stays on for a few minutes of driving, but each day i drive it it takes longer and longer to go off. i dont have an aftermarket steering wheel at all and only thing i can see is wrong under the hood is one of the belts (i think power steering belt) hasnt been put on properly and a quatre (width) is hangin off and shredding a little bit so that will need to be replaced but i not sure what is causing hicas light to come on.. any suggestions?

  11. hey there.. i have a r32 4 door gtst which i have just recently bought and am looking to slowly start upgrading.. it currently is fairly stock except for: frount mount intercooler, 3 inch exhaust turbo back, bov, turbo timer, 18 inch rims. i am after any upgrades you can offer me.. at this stage am looking for: - r33 skyling turbo or r34 gtt turbo would be great.. (or any other direct fit turbo that is in good condition and would be good upgrade) - r32 gtr fuel pump and injectors (or upgrate that will fit directly also) - also looking to upgrade my ecu although i have checked yet whether or not its stock but im pretty sure it is, would be after either... Apexi SAFC, or Apexi Power FC or another upgraded chip such as remap... please let me know if any others you would like to sell.. - z32 or Q45 AFM - oh also need the left hand lower dash vent as was not there when i purchased the car please let me know if you have anything else to offer and include pricing in your offer to me.. thanks

  13. thanks guys... swapped the afm along with the pod filter both from the laurel and runs sweet now!!! thanks for all the info... saved me spendin money on auto elect etc
  14. ok thanks for that... i spoke with the guy i bought the car off and he has a laurel which has same rb20det engine and we are going to swap over the afm from that car on the weekend and see if it fixes the problem rather go straight out and buy a replacement..
  15. ok thanks, is that definitely the problem?? would that also have something to do with the fact sometimes when i turn the car off and leave the turbo timer going for 90 secs and it sometimes turns it off after like 30 seconds or 60 for what ever reason?? but it usually does that when iv had the problems whilst driving.. thanks, im new to turbo's this is my first proper turbo.. cheers
  16. Hey there. im new to this forum, have only just registered, but the reason being... i bought a 1990 R32 Skyline RB20DET a couple weeks ago and since i got it, it's been playing up. If i drive it even driving like a grandma, all of a sudden it will start mucking up and wont let me rev past 2500rpm at all. then wen i'm at the lights once it starts doing that the car rev;s on its own back and forth between 1000 and 2000 rev's and quite offen when i go to take off from the lights it will just dead stall on me no matter how high i rev when taking off. and the thing is it comes and goes so might happen for 5 mins while i driving then fine for the next 10 then come back for 30 secs etc... has anyone else had this problem/a similar problem? i havent had a chance to get it checked out yet but the guy i bought it off is willing to help me out with the costs of fixing it but he reckons it would be something to do with the immobiliser as it is connected to both the fuel pump and the ignition... i am wondering whether i should just get the immobilisor replaced or looked at or pay the money to get it hooked up to computer and see whats wrong?? or does anyone else have any other idea? cheers
