OK last year at legend of the lakes hillclimb it only happined about twice out of 8 runs but when i got to the top of the hill doing 200km/h+ i hit the brakes and they where rock hard as if there was no vacuum left for the booster and just managed to pull her up in time for the 90deg turn. I know if i back of abit up the hill ill have some vacuum for the top but this isnt an option as i want to win, has anyone got any ideas or come across this? a few of the rally boys told me to just run a bar through the booster they said it would be hard but you have total controll ova the brakes and thats what they do, but i dont want this because its a steet car to.

  3. just go get a maunual boost controller for ya local rev head store and you can safly wind her up to 11-12psi if you got a front mount really limits of the stock turbos rear wheel, there is a thred in diy on installation of a manual boost controller

  5. all the same bolt pattern not sure about the flywheel/clutch, got rb30det with the rb25 box and a few less gifted of a brain down my way thought it would be smart to build a rb30det with a rb20 box because they are so cheap which lasted a week. so they all bolt up dude
  6. got it so 2 way would give you to much understeer in tight corners and would like to push, and the tt version for the nismo isnt avaliable at nengun whats the differance between that and just pro
  7. yes well after the the conversion a new push clutch will be installed so new pressure plate also the os gekin clutches use push and come with a conversion kit i found after abit of long hours looking up random sh*t, also the os giken conversion kit is $500
  8. what about heat wraping the s/s manifold dose this make it worse or better with the crackin

  11. ok more to the point will it fit if i convert to a push setup and has anyone done one i have a list of part numbers from nissan but unsure on cost and if its worth it. I have noticed gtst clutchs alot cheaper like $160 for stage 3 single button ceramic that one for a gtr around $400, so the extra $$$ is because they are pull rite?
  12. I might just be beating around the bush but will a gtr clutch fit in a gts or gts clutch fit in a gtr?

  14. Just after some advice on the Nismo diffs whats the differance in the 1.5 or 2.0 and what would be better in hillclimbing? and abit of track work?
  15. just go on ebay and buy a chip or ecu, mines are good safe and nice tune but watch out for the cheap tunes that hurt ya engine by running lean, or just cut wire 52 i think do a search and will so tell you.
  16. My stock lsd is getting tired and not looking nice after a few runs with slicks, did a search on the topic and found a thred on rebuilding with nismo internal but it was a year old and there was an order done just wondering where to get these parts from and what other options are there?
  17. Yeh i have hurd that and something about cutting some circut track on the dash cluster but if it affects the hicas which is usless but its the power steering that might go funny because i think its progressive faster you go the hard it is or something

  19. oh and another point is that my mates speedo cable snaped a few weeks bak and it made no differance still did it, so it has to be a rev/gear thing that the computer is reading because with out the speedo cable there is no way it can tell the speed unless its something to do with the rpm and gear because like i said with out fail 7000rpm in 4th or 6000rmp in 5th same spot every time.
  20. haha yeh i dont think im quite going to hit that limit, but the thing is its not like the speed limiter not the usual barb barb barb it just dies like a total ignition cut untill you take you foot off and the put it bak on again, i also reconected wire 52 and im sure other ppl out there have the same problem and go faster than 240 well i hope or its just our cars dont like us lol

HI everyone, 98 r33 gtr First off when i got my car went on the net and found that u cut wire 52 i think it was it would remove the speed liminter, rite i did so and yes it worked untill i hit 240 well there abouts, so i joined the wires back up and later on i chipped the ecu and sure enough the limiter was raised to 240km/h again, you hit 6000rpm in 5th and the engine will just die and wont come back into life untill you raise your foot then put it down again. i thought fair enough i should stop being a cheap arse and just get a real ecu like a fc. But my mate has a r32 gtr and he just put in a mines ecu fully baged and sealed and his is doing the same thing has anyone got any ideas i have tried searching but cant find anything on this?

Hi im Travis 20yr old I come from a hole called Mt gambier about 4 hours away from adel, i race cars inc my 98 gtr, down my way its all holden and ford v8 lovers dont get many ppl to convers with about the turbo's ect. I do all my work on my cars my self and my father is a well knowin pannel beater and as you guessed fixes my stuff ups. Have raced many events just last year i come 3rd in legond of the lakes hillclimb in my stock r33 gtr and belive me no one belived it was stock with the time i put down, this year coming i have done alot of mods and even wound up the boost to chase down 3 second to take the lead. I hope the experiance on these forums can help me push out those 3 seconds and i can also help others on there way. also the year befor i drove a old skool supra up the hill drifting it Also looking forward to meeting new ppl
