  1. they can also supply larger front compressor wheels for the same price but would require machining to fit so there would the extra cost there. might just get replacements and get it balanced up, my tuner recons it might be peices of the apexi filters being suked through, also said if it was welding slag it would have totally minced the wheels.
  2. have contacted garrett and they can supply new compress wheels for $800 the pair.
  3. tuners was changed after melted piston, even changed state. also all my pipe work was fabricated to be used with out a std return sytem to the bovs, so the wheel had to be re invented in this case and everything custom made.
  4. im just sick of working on the stupid low mount turbos i have had enough of pulling them on and off. yeh -5 are great though surely it couldnt be that expensive just for a compressor wheel.... is there other options other than genuine garrett replacement parts? and should i be footing this bill to be rebuilding them?
  5. the r33 gtst caster rods are aftermarket adj ones.
  6. brand spanking new apexi filters where used when it was built, but i have a good idea what has caused this and where the debris as come from. run in tune i didnt have a bov setup with my hard piping kit and it would carry on not ide properly so i gave the std bov's to my tunner and he welded them in and made up a full return (metal) piping back to the turbo inlets like factory. and turbos where fine after the run in tune........... im guessing some welding slag wasnt removed from the custom piping made what do you guys think? how should i go about it aswell? cant see anything else causing this as the chances of debry going threw 2 differnt filters to damage both turbos is very unlikly. if its going to cost $1000 a turbo to rebuild whats the point? might as well just go single setup what do you think just t04z?
  7. Well thought my r33 gtr was abit fat for superlap so i set out this weekend on ripping out everything not need and removing last sessions sponsor stickers off the car. started with the stickers and cracked it about halfway threw as its most of the car was wrapped lol so started on the engine bay removing all the aircon bits got to the compressor and had to remove the front turbos intake piping. i almost fell over backwards with what i found. aaaahhhhhh!!!!! front turbo rear turbo Now this engine and turbos are only 2000km old!!! using garret -5 turbos What should i do guys any ideas on cause and what am i looking at for a rebuild of the turbos? should i get bigger compressor wheels fitted while im at it for abit more puff? well there goes my superlap entry money maybe next year

  11. just because you get EPA's no need to create more hate in the world and dishing out the hate to other ppl. and yeh i wouldnt take it lyin down its all about putting yourself in the other ppls shoes and asking yourself what if that was me?
  12. there is alot of mums boys on here that need to stop living with there perants and get out there in the real world. some ppl are just trying to live. look fair enough if there out "hooning" late at night with a car full or whatever in there smokey shitbox but leave the ppl alone going to and from work as im sure if they could they would buy a half decent car to go to and from work.
  13. te police cant do anything unless the witness is willing to go to court, what they do is bully or trick you to confess what you did and bang your done and they dont need a witness. very simple keep your mounth shut and dont say you did or didnt do it if questioned, if you say no you didnt do it then goes to court with the witness and proven guilty your in more shit. simply say back to the officer, you have the report of what events have been reported and i have nothing to say about the matter. bang they leave with there tail between there legs. now i dont mind dobbing in a drunk driver and a excessive hoon but i dont simply dob someone in for doing a skid sometimes it might make my day, more to the point if there putting other ppl a risk other than there own i dont have a issues with making a call. with the EPA shit, you have to realize that some ppl are not all as lucky as we are and dont have the option to buy a decent car. there are some ppl struggling out there and also realy on there car to get to and from work to just make a living to feed themselfs and family, you take this away from them thats it no work? and who pays the price well us in the end because we pay tax that is then the doll for them. sometimes you have to think about being on the other end of that stick not everyone was delt the best hand of cards in there lifes. all because you have to smell abit of smokey oil in traffic or you pissed because you get epa all the time and there still driving around? all i can say is grow up maybe move out of the city in a quite country town where the air is freash? and EPA its the price we pay to drive jdm cars nothing going to change that never will so sell your car if you nickers are in that big of a knot about it and buy a prius (hybrid thingy whateva they are). peace out.
