Imp: A Quick King-spring Clarification
sethaiyaar replied to sethaiyaar's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
thank for the input cuz, esp since you have them on. ...umm what you mean by 'kit' do you have the coil-over or the springs? And yeah i took my car to the shop, he said he hasnt seen many of these and in his 4years working there never did a V35. I happened to come across your car once, and was really liking your drop. So if you have the springs, then ill know exactly how low they go. -
Imp: A Quick King-spring Clarification
sethaiyaar replied to sethaiyaar's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I understand that coil-overs might be the ultimate way to go, but you can deny the price difference, its $300 for kings and a decent coil-over set you looking close to $1.5k-2k. That is just way to much for me. Basically looking for: -Slight improvement in roll. -Lower centre of gravity. -Improvement in traction when powering out in a corners (you guys may have noticed the traction lost when powering out of a corner, not track driving, just aggressive power out from normal driving) -lower ride height! i sit just as high as some sedans out there! I think all of that can be provided by a set of springs. Really appreciating the input keep it coming guys. -
Hi guys, I know the lowering debate has raged countless amount of times but i need a clarification. All help is much much appreciated. Today I was set on buying the lowered KING-SPRINGS (why? cheap, Aussie, 30% stiffer and good reputation...btw buying springs only) from my local wholesaler, went and talked to him and he had no clue what a V35 was, not even in their system!, no probs buddy don't panic since its the same as the 350Z....now my question is: The King-Springs lower the 350Z by 30mm, since the general fact is that 350Z springs will lower the V35 COUPE and EXTRA aprox Inch (20-25mm). Will it be correct to say the final/total lowered height will be 45-55mm? 1. Does anyone have king springs on their car? 2. Does anyone have their car that low? 3. Isnt that seriously low? and suicide for the under carriage?< btw im driving around the west, Blacktown, penrith, parra etc etc All responses appreciated asap, i wanna get this cleared up so i know if i should/shouldn't buy the springs....thanks guys so much!

I have to change mine as well, i went to the Nissan spare parts dealer and he looked them up for the 350Z assuming the same belts he said $110. My mechanic said he will take $70 to install.

ouch.....well could have been worse, 2 V35s!...looks like she missed the wheel, lucky for the guy.

Just be wary of the ebay head lights. The US is diff to the JAP(what we need) version. Beams will face onto incoming traffic(not what we want) due to them being LHD.
-
Think so. Looks: Don't be so sure about the radical looks, its only a concept so expect a slightly more toned down version, with bigger lights. Im expecting it to be close to what it looks right now. Interior: Expect huge changes, no way its gonna look like that. Power: I think the chassis will be kinda soft, judging from the WRX, and the Supra's. Engine 2.0L??!! kinda small anyone? very sure they will do a Turbo version later on or a 3.0L. This is an AFFORDABLE, 5 seater.....its kind of like comparing the V36/35 Coupe and a Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Sort of similar yet very different. Just my 2c.........saying all that, cant wait to see it!!

Congrats on the bonnet...it looks real sexy, but...umm kinda doesn't look right on that car?

This Cant Be Normal Can It?!
sethaiyaar replied to sethaiyaar's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Could you give an approximate figure of how much it cost your for the belts?....lol never in mylife have i had a car long enough to change the belts. First time for me. -
Hi guys, Just doing some cleaning in the bay and i had a poke around where the belts are at the front of the engine. To my horror i find some of the belts are cracked and torn on the side!!!!...the car has done 65,000Km, surely nothing happens to belts this early?? The belts are original, the say NISSAN all over it. Any opinions to why? and its solutions?............oh and i havent been hearing any weird noises or anything when starting up cold/warm or driving slow/hard. Some pics to explain my point: << Torn belt + Cracking << another showing tear. Cheers!
