  1. I was looking through the G35 Forum and found this design: This design just blew me away, he used the sifter plate from a manual v35 and basically added a Razo shift knob with a custom boot...it looks awesome, sits very low and the boot is well constructed and the manual ring adds a very nice clean touch...now the thing that bugs me is how does he change the gears? push the whole assembly down?
  2. wow, im really liking the first picture mjay put up....it looks very professional...but yeh like frank said, its a DIY job and im not really liking the spray painted disk.
  3. sir, you can count me in too!
  4. I may not be very experienced in this department, but why dont you look into a more VIP type rims? (sorry i dont know any names)...actually look into the older AMG rims and WALD rims aswell i think it would suite the sedan the best... Out of those two i guess it would be the M3(if your redrilling, look at a M6 wheel, its a sweet a$$ wheel), the works ones just dont look THAT good....btw re-drilling?..how will that work + is it safe??
  5. lol i will be doing it soon, hopefully in the end of next month...and about the film, you can contact 3M and they will point you to the closest dealer...but ill prob pay a visit to a friend who i bought the vinyl for my black roof overlay. Will be sure to update.
  6. ^+1..i totally agree, because it blends in with the tyre...but the wheels look hot matt, hope your dropping the car soon and maybe add a spacer on the back, just to give it that extra aggressive stance.
  7. But then you hit the never ending issue of the lights being lopsided...like the majority of the beam pointing out and hitting on coming traffic...do a search, there has been a extensive discussion about them. Also the fact they are ridiculously expensive, better to try using an abrasive method (sandpaper, brasso etc) and put a thin high quality clear film to protect the lights...well, forever.
  8. ouch that's gotta hurt...unfortunately the 350z window is totally different, and apart from getting luck by finding a smashed coupe or one being striped, im afraid japan is the only option. i feel for you sir, hope it all works out well.
  9. I was just thinking...in the process when the headlight is wet sanded the UV protection is removed and thus oxidation occurs, to prevent this you wax it to for a layer....but instead why not use a clear film, not just any cheap one a 3M one, i used their vinyl on a couple of cars and they stick very well and stretch very easily around curves using heat. if i do go the wet sanding process i will try it out with some clear 3m film.
  10. (V35 owners only) Thought this would be a good discussion on any new technology or tech-related things (cameras, phones, in car entertainment etc) people will/have bought...Just to have something else to read apart from all the V35 talk. Oh and a picture of what we are talking about would be better Ill start, i just bought a new camera, its a Sony DSLR-A350x Twin lens Kit (on my 'L' plates)..its a mean little thing with a mighty punch!!...The main reason i bought it was because of its amazing 'live view' with a tilting 2.7inch screen, it's easy to use for a beginner and, ok this might sound a little stupid but its a Sony and they have never gone wrong on me...ok ok i agree Nikon,Olympus,Canon etc ONLY make camera's and because of that they have huge amounts of lenses available (cannon and Nikon that is)..but Sony has taken over Konica Minolta, so there are quite a few of them around aswell...one of the main reasons is that the image stabilisation is in the body, so no matter how old the lens is i will always have the VDC on . Thanks, and cant wait to use it for the v35 community. <sorry bout image quality.
  11. itbs...? anyone care to explain how it works?...so 'individual throttle bodies?'...i have heard engines with them on, esp popular with Type-R and Ae86....so its basically a breathing mod?
  12. cool, arrange a lil mini meet eh?, sounds good, especially since exams are over...you wldnt happen to be in the Western Syd region?
  13. hmm i would if i had any....but here is a little thought, what about you scanning up a couple of pages from those V35 articles and putting them up for the benefit of the forum readers?...lol yes i know its VERY time consuming. Just a thought thou. btw...nice collection.
  14. awesome, keep us updated....and and what happened with the toothpaste?, im pretty sure it didn't work.
  15. yep been discussed, but i think Nissan deserves a "WTF were you thinking when you designed the back!!, if you wanted to copy a car then WHY oH WHY did you chose one of the wost looking suvs of all time!!(Subaru Tribeca)" moment. lol but yeh, its like two people designed the car, the front by a loyal employee and the back by an evil one sent by the Soobies.
  16. I am not 100% sure on this, but if my memory serves correct all headlight have this UV coating which prevents the oxidation, once the UV coating goes the oxidation comes back, so the headlight polish acts as a sealant....so the question is, while the sealant will keep wearing off, isn there a way to restore to factory specs?...sm sort of 'UV' spray? But yeh, i dont have a drill with RPM rating , and my lights are kinda hazy...prob go for the PlastX kit.
  17. Congrats on the car AL, looks clean all you need is a set of 350z springs for a sexy 1inch drop(ive got a set if your interested), wanted my parents to buy one they dont like the shape much, but really like the V36, too bad no one is doing compliance yet.
  18. thats a good idea actually, what colour is yours?
  19. If you want a serious power up from the is200 you wanna go for the 350GT sedan, and let me tell you, its just as quiet and comfortable as your is200, but its no sluggish sedan, this baby will pull like crazy no matter what gear your in....but it will seriously let you down when talking about fuel consumption. If you want economy then go for the 250GT, but don't expect a huge difference in performance...maybe a 300 is your best choice.
  20. yeh but this stuff has got smthing to do with the V35 skyline, its not just a random for sale post mate.
  21. have a low km set lying around, never got round to putting them on the car unfortunately priorities took over.
  22. selling the springs, wanted to put onto my v35 for a 1inch drop...other priorities have come up.
  23. yeh, i really dont like the rubber buttons, they look seriously tacky...sldve gone the metra kit way...but then again proper buttons will certainly improve the look.
  24. lol...yeh dun try it, just stops the wheels from spinning...but rmbr to turn it off when flying off from the lights, or chucking an aggressive u-turn....oh and in NO way am i promoting you to do such preposterously unacceptable activities. Saying that, it is rather fun to do.
