Adrian what are the contact details of your other source for E85? How and where do you store your E85? Do they send you a new drum each time you purchase a new batch or can they re-use the one you have? Scotchers were getting their E85 from SAFF/ENFUEE (and resellling it at an inflated price) so they are out for now as well. Thanks Michael

I think they charge $2/L which could be very hard on your pocket if you're using 50L of fuel/week.

There was some talk (at the time SAFF was beeing taken over by another company) that the new owners would drop E85 since it wasn't profitable. I guess it would be smarter to come up with a bogus reason (ie. blame the government for stopping the sale of E85) rather than take the abuse of all the customers that spent their money to have their cars converted to E85. Vic and NSW still have E85 and over there it was always 20c cheaper than here.

It seems to be only SA that's affected. United servos in Vic and NSW are still sellig it. Welcome to Adelaide!!!

had been running my car on E85 for approx 6 months. Initially, the engine was occasionally cutting out, especially in 2nd gear, once over 6000 revs. 2 weeks ago, the engine started cutting out lower and lower in the rev range. Eventually I couldn't go beyond 4000 revs. The fuel filter on the new Sard fuel pump (installed in the fuel tank at the time of the conversion to E85) was covered in brown, slimy stuff. That was cleaned up and car runs with no probs now. Furthermore, the car idles a lot quieter and smoother (even with the air con on). Anyone expirienced something similar? I'm aware that ethanol is very good at cleaning stuff well; wonder if all the grot was in the fuel tank from before and ethanol has cleaned it off the walls of the fuel tank.
