Fake performance stickers: YOU Decide
05YKO_r33 replied to pentae's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
my skyline came with some "skyline" stickers on the passenger side of the dash, the ashtray and centre console. that is ricey. they were removed the day i saw my car at the importers. stickers like that are very unesscessary and unsightly that is why they are ricey, there is no value. i feel the same way about stickers on paintwork of any type be it characters, to stickers of performance brands, whether you have the parts or not on or in the car it is ricey. why ruin the the body lines of a car by putting stickers on them?? like someone said earlier that is what your tool chest or toolboxes are for. i am sure i will upset some fellow skyline drivers by my comments but i find it really dissapointing when i see a line with stickers all over it. my friends tell me my car is "ricey" but they have no idea really, they think as the car is from japan that it is "ricey" this is why i am so vocal on the matter as i try to explain to them the differences between something from japan with a stock bodykit (except my front bar) and an over the top body kit on a car (usually an excel or corolla) with ridiculous wings and sheet metal hanging off it and say that is ricey. any crap you can buy from supercheap etc. is most likely to have a high "rice" factor. checker plate inside the cabin is ricey too. paint work is something differentpaint a car whatever colour you want. it has to have paint so it can't be considered ricey to have bright or offensive paintwork. i have gone on too long here, sorry but i don't understand why you would want stickers on your car. -

custom made catch can. i designed the can myself. you can see the can sits over the top of the intercooler pipe. it bolts on one side and drains the other side of the IC piping. -

catch can internal volume? how big?
05YKO_r33 replied to 05YKO_r33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
all my CAD work is done in microstation java including 2d drawing and 3d modelling i find this is a great program to use. i am getting a guy i know to build it for me, i need this shape however as i have no room in the engine bay to fit a round catchcan. -
does anyone know what is an ideal internal catch can volume? i have designed a can i am getting made and its internal volume is around 600ml is this enough? should there be baffles as i am told by some? i do not want to use stuffing as suggested by some for fear of it finding its way back to the motor. though unlikely i don't want to risk it.

can anybody else offer any info? especially on the baffling the can side of things???

cheers man.
