You would have to ask whomever runs the series if: A: You have to register for the series itself or if you can participate without entering the championship. B: If any CAMS affiliated car club is ok or if you have to be a member from what is on their list. The car clubs listed on the website look like a bunch of flat cap types but the cars in the photos aren't, so who knows. To get a level 2 license you need to be a member of an affiliated car club. This covers you off from the licensing point of view. NFI what is required for the series itself but usually it is simply a matter of entering, paying money to the organisers and them not caring who's club you are in.

Strolls old man now part owns Williams. Hard to say no to that if you are the other team owners. Sadly it looks like Williams will be at the back of the midfield this year.

Legend has it Brabham left Coopers (As did Bruce McLaren) due to Charlie's (or John can't remember who was the father) unwillingness to develop and reinvest. Problem solved by teaming up with Tauranac to form Motor Racing Developments. For what it's worth Tauranac had some input into Coopers designs that Brabham drove in the latter years. Brabham was a giant of a man in every sense. Sadly they don't make them like that anymore. Same for Ron Tauranac. Can only imagine how awesome it would have been as a kid to see all that. Would have been mid sixties?

Couple things. Verstappens old man has some coin (Jos used to drive for Benetton. That famous photo of the thing on fire during refuelling - that's him in there.). He doesn't pay Redbull anything. You are probably thinking of Sirotkin in the other Williams. It's more a comment on Willaims not having enough coil to pay drivers but they reckon Sirotkin to be able to drive. They would say that but who knows. All lower formula driver bring money. It's how it works. Jack Brabham did not design his Brabham race cars. A bloke called Ron Tauranac did. He is a crusty old grump but a brilliant engineer. Brabham Ralt Honda is what his biography is called. Worth finding and reading. Good to see Kimi on the front row and the Renaults going well.

Plazmaman cooler finally turned up. Surprisingly easy when you go to a shop that actually processes your order. Anyway will get around to fitting it once I've cleaned up this mess.

So if I want replacement bushings for a KCA336 kit I can just buy a W51219A kit and pocket the $40? Shame they just don't sell the bushes.

Just for reference. Some months ago I tried to buy a Plazmaman intercooler from a Victorian (North West of Melbourne) garage that has a line in torque. After far too long it turns out they didn't even order it from Plazmaman and the delivery dates etc promised were fabricated (Unlike the cooler, obviously). Currently working my way through a refund and less than reassured by their promises of one. So if anyone is after a Plazmaman cooler it would pay to be a little careful who you order it from. Speaking to Plazmaman themselves this is not an uncommon experience.

Yeah hard to know as you are dealing with five different things on each damper high and low speed setting for bump and rebound and also the knee point for the curve. I wouldn't mind seeing the output from a shock dyno just to see what changed in going up in spring rate. For what its worth the rebound damping on the front feels a little soft. Not sure why.

My thing is my spring rates are increasing - now 6kg front and rear on a 32 GTR. At some point the valving will be wrong/less than optimal for the spring rate and the shocks will need revalving. Can you throw any light ont he kinds of ranges the one set of valving can cope with in terms of spring rate? So say the are optimized for N kg/mm front spring but can cope with anything between N-M kg/mm and N+M kg/mm.

Who did this for you and how comprehensive was the rebuild/revalve?

No is the short answer. by changing the way the subframe itself is located you change he amount of anti squat you have.

You have a GTR headlight with three different lights in it as opposed to two in the gtst/N1 type. Lots of people swap them around.

Not that it looks to be a Tomei cam, but possibly, maybe even probably. You can measure the thing as follows: LOBE HEIGHT Machining each lobe to the strictest tolerances allows for smoother and more precise adjustments in valve clearances. Based on: 9.15mm max lift, Φ32 base circle SPEC. 41.15mm ACTUAL (avg.) 41.1455mm DIFFERENCE (avg.) 0.0045mm DIFFERENCE (%) 0.0001% The greater this 'difference', the more shims and time required to adjust the valve clearance.

That's a good result. The original fabrics are a bit sht anyway, truth be told. Did they redo any of the foam or was it just the materials?

Surely you just need to tell everyone its built for an event, do two slow laps for a photo shoot, then bang on about the easy 10 seconds you can knock off your lap time by installing more stickers? Actually turning up for an event is a dick move.
