For anyone who is wondering what Eddie Jordan is up to these days, well..... http://www.abc.net.au/tv/guide/abc2/200707...2007T193000.htm

Given the choice between spending money to fix a problem & not spending money the government will always pick the latter. Even at the expense of making everyones lives that bit more difficult. Unfortunately it has reached the point whereby traffic policing is more about PR than anything else. As for your second point - well I don't agree. The sort of clown who choses to do burnouts on the roads or generally drives like an idiot is almost never seen at any of the regular track events run by various organisations. The requisite planning, commitment & discipline is well beyond the reach of these intellectually challenged folk. What upsets me the most is the police & government PR doesn't bother differentiating between dickheads driving rubbish but supposed performance cars & people who might otherwise be referred to as car enthusiasts. The next time I hear of a bog standard Commode and/or Foulcan referred to as "high powered" I think I will throw up. Remember car enthusiasts are not hoons & hoons are not car enthusiasts.

Then use the RDA. The DBA 4000's crack from the return slots. I have lost two rotors to this - one from & one rear & both with minimal wear.

If you mean the SES at Wanneroo their should be some soon. Lots of photographers there. It usually takes a couple days. Try one or other of the Barnes family. After anything in particular?

The race you are thinking of was in the US from 1990, Pheonix, I believe. To be honest I cannot remember if the Tyrrell had the anhedral/dihedral (can't remember which is down) front wing at that race. It was introduced that year, but not in the first few races I think. If you want a proper example of a team being fkd over by the FIA have a look at what they did to Ken in the mid eighties. Made up some seriously dodgy allegations of him using illegal fuel so they could make everyone run turbo motors. It was nothing short of a disgrace. I don't think you can lay the blame for the teams long term demise at the feet of the Japanese pay drivers. Tyrrell had their last good chance to make an impact when they scored Honda V10 engines (when McLaren went to the V12's in '91) and had Stefano Modena driving for them. They had good sponsorship from Braun, but unfortunately the Pirelli tyres combined with the new motors heft made them uncompetitive in a year when they needed to reestablish themselves. After that they never had the money to return tot he top levels.

You don't think that the department of whatever are dumb enough to tell people exactly where they are do you? Nice website update too. www.bunburyic.com.au I am pretty confident that there is more to the story than the PIMM utterings.

Check to see if you have blown an indicator light. That is the usual reason.

THe problem with being a cynic is that you get no enjoyment about being proved correct.

How could have possibly gone past the Simtek? I mean, really.

It is amazing how quick Ferrari fans are to chuck accusations about. Guess they know how to cheat properly. Ron Dennis is one of only a few team directors (Him & Frank Williams) whose integrity has been unarguably floorless over the years. It has not been alledged that McLaren gained from the Ferrari information, nor that even Honda has. On a happier note, here is hoping that Piquet jnr can land a drive with Spyker as a prelude to getting a Renault seat next year. His old man in the Brabham was just awesome & if the kid has anything like his talent he will do very well.

If only there was a circuit in Queensland that combined a good history with an interesting layout.

Will Changing My Fmic Piping Increase Power Or Work
djr81 replied to 4drftn's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You are correct. Pumping losses for airflow in piping systems are very temperature dependant. Therefore you are better off having the cool side on the longer run if you want to avoid frictional losses. With regard to lag there are two different sorts: 1. Turbo lag, ie time it takes the turbo to build up tot he requisite boost. 2. Throttle lag, ie time it takes for all the air to go through the induction system, intercooler included. As is self evident what helps turbo lag will hinder throttle lag. So you pays you money & you makes your choice. Better off spending it elsewhere. -
It is pretty common to make the accusation that a new driver and/or anyone that is starting to make an impact has a glass jaw. Watch for the Hamilton critics come out with that the first time he runs into some difficulties.

Guard Clearence On A R32 Gtr
djr81 replied to my_gtr32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
They are different. The difference is more than 10mm. -
Well it depends on a lot of things - temperature on the day, how much hp you have, how heavy the car is, what tyres you are running, how aggressive you are under brakes, how much ducting you have, stone guards etc etc etc. DS2500's will be fine for a three lap run, ie warm up three laps, cool down. Which is pretty standard for drive days & lap sprint events.

He hasn't worn it for the last couple times he has appeared on the podium. Don't think he had it on at Indy, for example. Personally I hate the damn things. Much rather see the drivers in their grotty overalls who look like they have done something.

The Baron is spot on. On full throttle most people pick an AFR in the 11.5 to 12 range. Or thereabouts. 13 is too lean. On light throttle you can go for a stoichiometric ratio (Look it up) which is 14.7 from memory. In between should be, um in between.

Yes. See photo. I had them made & zinc plated (actually cad plated). They work fine.

My thoughts: You can get a set of RBA slotted rotors from the group buy at a fraction of the price of the DBA4000's from any normal outlet. So irrespective of which may be slightly better (I have no reason to believe the DBA's to be superior simply because they crack from the stupid little return slots on the rotors) they cannot be sufficiently different to justify spending extra money on the DBA's. Oh and don't bother with DOT 5.1 nonsense. Find a bike shop that sells Motul RBF600 & spend $28 for 500ml. You will fade the DS2500's around Wanneroo long before you boil that stuff. Trust me I know from btter experience.

Wow you knocked back the captain of the Australian cricket team? Personally I never liked Schumacher since him & Walkinshaw stitched up Roberto Moreno. Anyway Adelaide was always better than Albert Park. A bit like Monaco really, ahh memories. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2KfCtTcG0k...ted&search= Schumacher was a hack. A hack I tell you.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrpYIq0NbFM...ted&search=

Sounds like both your rotors & your pads need replacing. Measure the thickness of the rotor and compare it to the wear limit that Nissan recommend for your car. Check the group buy section for some good prices on the RDA rotors. Lastly, actual has two a's. Rotor has none.

What do you mean while warming it up? Doesn't that involve driving away?

Another vote for the 1990 livery. Much nicer than the 91 effort. By the way, what was the number of the chassis Skaife wrote off at the 1990 Australian GP? And does anyone have any photos???

I used the gaskets that came with the HKS dump pipes. Need a re-tune - maybe, maybe not. It depends how much hp you are running & the wastegates capacity to dump the requisite amount of exhaust gas. A recommendation? Take the engine out & do the extractors as well as the dump pipes. Wrap everything in heat proof tape.

Personally I hope Power gets the chance to spank his arse before he bails to Toro Rosso. Rumour has it Andretti may be on his way to Newman-Haas. Would be good to see. Hope the French GP is a good one this year. Sometimes it is & sometimes it is THE most boring race around. I hate it when the bloody tennis interupts the French/British GP's.
