  1. Yeah paint scheme flummoxed me for a while until I realised that it was easy - can in the mid pack is a Force India. Car trailing around to retire is the McLaren.
  2. http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/competition/lb/pdf/skylinebnr32_02.pdf Number 16 if I understand you correctly.
  3. Cmon man, we are all busy. Just got to prioritise. You know work or post shit on SAU. No contest really. Also the Force it Indias new nose in testing looks funky. Good work whomever thought that up.
  4. OP appears to like the shiney more than the functionality.

  6. Well if its for a different sound or whatever then I suppose why not but its usually more money spent for no performance gain. What issue does your mechanic think relates to the bov's - its not clear in the posts. You will max your afms next I would think.
  7. There are two settings on the boost controller. The output (so boost level) and the gain. The gain is adjusted differently to the output but is inversely related to it - so high boost, less gain is the rule of thumb if I remember correctly. See here. http://www.blitzpowerusa.com/techsupport/pdf/sbc_i-d_iii.pdf
  8. I have a theory that you match the injector size to the power output - because the more oversize the injector is the harder it is to tune. But other people think otherwise. As for the Nissan blow off valves they are as good as you'll ever need. What makes you think they might be failing? Also if the GReddy ones vent to atmosphere they are going to upset your MAF's on the assumption you are using them.
  9. Things to do: Take GReddy BOVs and place in wheelie bin. Same for much of the fuel stuff you bought. Not sure why you want all that gear or quite what it is supposed to do for you. This plan was better: - Garrett GT2860R-7's (HKS GT-SS) - 550cc injectors
  10. Yeah cause Tool would love that. Hulkenberg deserves the Ferrari drive. Season has been dull. Endless Honda and Renault blow ups and no genuine competition between the MB drivers any more. F1 being F1 they wont even fix it for next year. Highlight of the race was watching the old turbo F1 cars. MP4/2, BT52 etc. Shame others went bang before they could get out there but still far better than the race. They look like proper race cars for a start.
  11. If you want a hatted rotor with some actual cooling capacity have a look at project mu and Dixcel. The good thing is you can then just replace the rotor and not the hat when the things are worn. Price them up against the DBA's as a start. If you want shiney purple Challipers then there are any number of options almost all the same. If you want callipers not from China (So not challipers) then second hand is a good start point.
  12. Joey, The Ferrea's are dual springs?
  13. Hmm McLaren looking worse this round that they did in Canada. Hard to believe but they have managed it. Something has to give. Either Renault Honda or the rules. Wonder which will be first. My money is on Renault.
  14. Come on Troy its not like they have destroyed all their enjoyment of the sport. RedBull Ferrari for 2016?
  15. Less. I sort of suspect they rolled all the sums for R&D into the costs for the engines etc. So you get a phone number for an RB26 and think well it is a, say, 600hp motor and uses standard rods and standard exhaust manifold etc etc. Even today it is hard to figure out why it would cost so much. Having said that their electronic gear would have been ruinously expensive and they had the best of everything. But a Hollinger costs what a hollinger costs and the cars did without alot of things. Didnt even have in car adjustable sway bars. Their standards were high but no higher than the best of the Sierras or Frank Gardners cars. Would have hated to be the bloke signing cheques for Bob Forbes team.
  16. Wasn't suggesting they were unusual, just the opposite - your Micra at one point had 9,999 brethren. Happy to call them unbelievably awesome and say MA09ERT>RB26.DETT. Just out of interest I assume which charger feeds which?
  17. For what it is worth the did make/sell more than the 500 cars necessary for the VL Walkinshaw. I say "sell" but they were stinking up the forecourts for long after they were made. Also they only ever made 300 of the VN Group A Commodores. There were 500 of the evolution Sierras made after the initial 5000 for the homologation although the earlier version ran in 1987 (even 1896 in a different version) before they did the evolution of it (not including the Sapphires for rallying) - bit like there were there were only 800(?) R31 GTS-R's and 560 Nismo GT-R's which were the homologation model. Depends on how pedantic you want to be with what constitutes the base model and the homologation version. The Rovers and Jaguars were nothing special and for that matter the VK Commodore was in the over 5 litre category on debut because they hadn't sold enough of the slightly smaller displacement 304 V8's yet. Bit pointless criticising the manufacturers for using the rules the way they were intended. If you want volume you need to look at the rally cars built under group A. Nissan Micra March Super Turbo anyone? But for what it is worth I reckon the figures quoted at the time by Freddie Gibson about costs were mostly bullshit.
  18. Well Nissan need a big rethink as do Toyota. But the whole thing makes a nice contrast to F1.Love the radio chat. "Will these tyres last three stints or four?" Who would have thought you could make tyres that last more than 15 laps? Down side was the number of penalties handed out. Also the shit commentary.
  19. You do realise that there was a huge amount of parity adjustment in Group A in Australia, don't you? Rev limits, boost restrictions, homologation waivers, the list is a long one. Parity adjustments for fundamentally different cars are enar on impossible, not least with the technology they had at the time. Quite why the current mob are contemplating going back down that road is a mystery to me.
  20. How do you know they are still shiney and not covered in carbon?
  21. Oh dear. He was referring to the Gibson Motorsport Group A R32's which were massively ahead of their Japanese counterparts in the Group A era and also to the high levels of competence and knowledge base in our local motorsport. He was not talking about the manufacture of road cars.
  22. For the love of cars on the ABC is half decent as well.
  23. Surely there is a "which valve spring is supreme" thread?
  24. Well just some random thoughts on general SAU stuff. Try and avoid F&F/Facebook language. Whatever the merits (or otherwise) of such language a considered, well put together post to start a thread will get a much better response than something that sounds like it was written by a bored, trolling teenager in 30 seconds. (Not saying yours was quite that bad.) If you had have asked for a piston recommendation for a 400kW build you would have got no end of people saying Tomei/CP/JE/Nitto etc etc. All of which are fine. If you had have asked what attributes of a piston may be important on an RB you may have got a different answer again. TL:DR. When you start a thread try not to sound like a teenager, try and make it sound considered, include what you know and understand that aside from just answering (or not) your question it may well provide information for someone else at another time. Lastly if you think I should shove my post up my ar$e that is probably fair enough.
