  1. What like the fact that Dan has continually improved this year, becomimg the lead driver at RBR, smashing Vettel and repaying every ones faith in him and JEV has not improved and not outshone his rookie team mate? Those sort of facts?
  2. Looks like JEV may get another year at TR.
  3. Title will go to the last race. 50 points for a win basically guarantees it will. You only get 7 points differential for a 1-2. So 17 will only get to 31 if the current trend continues.
  4. Britney has won 4 races. Australia, Monaco, Austria, Germany. Homo has won 9. In the four races Britney has won Hamo has: Australia: DNF'd Monaco: Came second after the qualifying yellow flag thing. Austria: Second after starting ninth. He screwed up in qualifying. Germany: Third after starting twentieth Think this was the one with the brake problem which put him into the wall. So yeah - once if you don't include Monaco. The three races Dan won - Canada, Hungary & Spa. Homo DNF'd in two and In Hungary Britney got beat.
  5. A worry too that the Redbull was slower than the Torro Rosso. Hoping Williams can find something in the off season. Package things up a bit better. But the Merc is so much quicker everywhere.
  6. 10 airing some rounds live. The difference between last years 20 20 and prior years in terms of attendance was big. Why? Because people got to see it on FTA, got interested then turned up. You don't BUILD audience via FOXTEL, just let Rupert exploit them. V8's are not the EPL after all. V8's aren't getting more popular. It has been consistent for a while now. They have been trying to get traction oversees for years. And failing I might add. No US swing next season which is another failed venture.
  7. Why would they sign such a stupid contract in the first place. Audience is the most important thing they have. Look at the domestic 20 20 cricket. No one gave no fk when it was on Foxtel. Put it on free to air and every man and his dog were watching it. Highlight packages are absolute rubbish. Imagine Ten will put them to air at 3.00am between an advertorial about saucepans and one about gym equipment. Muppets. Anyway screw you 888. Glad they choked after all the shit Roland Dane has handed out over the years.
  8. Holy crap 2 & 888 hard in the wall together.
  9. HRT not looking strong. 888 in trouble. Which leaves what FPR & BJR??????
  10. Ah budgets. I remember them. Now it just goes into the just fix it some more bucket. Be interested to see how this all goes. For my 10 cents worth I reckon that cam is on the too large size.
  11. Well exactly Same as the cams briefings - a race track is now regarded as a workplace. It isn't the 1960s anymore where the prospect of avoiding killing yourself/someone else is regard as part of the challenge.
  12. Stock rods too? E85 I would love but the logistics of it are hopeless.
  13. be interested to hear some comments on the above. 98, 256 & 252 cams & -5 turbos.
  14. Whether or not he was pushing any limit is irrelevant. It isn't good enough that a simple mistake (If it was even that - no one knows) ruins someones weekend/season/career/life/whatever the outcome is. Should be straight forward marshals and forklifts out under double waved yellows is not good enough in the wet. Put the safety car out. Fixed. Which, sadly, is more than can be said for Bianchi at the moment.
  15. Lift and lobe centres are as per the Tomei cam spec sheets posted earlier. Lift is 260 is 9.15 256 is 9.25 252 is 9.15 Lobes are 110 inlet 115 exhaust - same for all.
  16. Fk daylight savings. Hate going to work in the dark only to knock off when it is still pharken hot. Glad we dont have it here. But yeah top ten should see the lap record go.
  17. May need to get stuck in a bit earlier than usual. Track is newly resurfaced and times are going to be quick. As an aside I think start time is 7.30 in WA. Are you NSW types on daylight savings time yet?
  18. No, but you are ignoring peoples (the press, whoever conducts an enquiry/witch hunt etc) demands that something be done. Which is probably not unreasonable given what has happened but even if it is unreasonable maybe it is also unarguable for the FIA. The least difficult change would be to put out a safety car when cars are being recovered in the wet. Which doesn't change much at all. Having imaginary lines on the circuit for enforcing speed zones just makes it hard for everyone. Drivers will always go hard up until the line like they do on pit lane entries. Which isn't ideal.
  19. For example? Be interested to know.
  20. Well I would argue if its wet and some one is in the fence and you need to recover it with a forklift you do need a safety car. Besides what constitutes slow is arguable. You would know you self that knocking 10km/h off your corner speed feels massively slower to the driver than it really is. Given the down force shed by going slower it doesn't necessarily make it safer. Bianchi's accident would have been catastrophic at most speeds.
  21. Maybe. Maybe they could just restrain themselves and stop trying to reorder the grid. With all the fake overtaking and blue flags it isn't the problem it used to be. Guess the point is the forks shouldn't be out recovering cars when people are pressing on in the wet. The difference being how you treat things in the wet and the dry as if its dry you have atleast some chance of influencing the outcome of where you crash.
  22. Yes you are right. I was looking at the valve lift curve which has them marked as the same thing. But the tables to the left show them separately. For these cams there are 4 degrees difference between the durations at 1mm and at 50 thou. 26_a_in_260_915_ex_252_915_32_33_e.pdf 26_b_260_915_32_33_e.pdf RB26DETT_256-925_3233_e.pdf
