  1. The photo is of one of the GP's when smokes sponsorship was banned - probably Silverstone or similar. So it isn't supposed to be the same.
  2. Expected better of Williams at Spa. Cant work out when they are easy on their tyres. I think it is in low to medium downforce circuits when the track temp is 38 - 40 degrees on days beginning with a T or similar. Also, do want, is cheap enough. Wonder if the come in XXL? http://www.ompracing.it/en_gb/race-kart-mechanic-wear/suits/ayrton-senna-replica-suit.html
  3. Couldn't understand why Williams were carrying so much wing
  4. Low downforce has traditionally been a strength for Force India. Not sure to what extent they have lost that or their oddball strategies have been hiding it.
  5. Isnt the Nismo interior just a hugely expensive set of vinyl seat covers?
  6. No pressure then. They have one remaining chance of winning a race this year and a whole pile of credibility resting on the outcome. Good luck fellas.
  7. I wash my engine bay the same way as myself: With a rag on a stick.
  8. "Toto Wolff, Paddy Lowe, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton met today in the boardroom of Mercedes Amg Petronas headquarters in Brackley to discuss the events of the Belgian Grand Prix," the team said in a statement. "During this meeting, Nico acknowledged his responsibility for the contact that occurred on lap two of the Belgian Grand Prix and apologised for this error of judgment. "Suitable disciplinary measures have been taken for the incident. "Mercedes-Benz remains committed to hard, fair racing because this is the right way to win world championships. It is good for the team, for the fans and for Formula One. "Lewis and Nico understand and accept the team's number one rule: there must be no contact between the team's cars on track." Rosberg was blamed by the team following the race for causing what was an avoidable collision.
  9. Rumour mill has ground away on Tool to McLaren. On the assumption that McClaren want someone who of the top line drivers would be unhappy enough with their current circumstance/ballsy/desperate enough to take the gamble. Alonso. You'd think no way although the current Ferrari is still rubbish. Homo. If he gets sick of his current team. Vettel. Sick of being hosed by his team mate yet? Bottas: Too inexperienced still? And not in the top line category: Grosjean: Maybe sick of the DNF's at Lotus. Hulk. If he's not too big. Button. More of the same?
  10. Just go buy some 5W50 Mobil 1. It is cheaper than the thinner grades and far better than the SEMI SYNTHETIC oil Nissan originally specced. Get the 5 litre container and tip all of it into the motor.
  11. Well from another R32 owning Richard: No. Just no.
  12. Yes. And no. It depends on the event. Some such as rally sprints allow you a navigator. You are allowed an instructor at times. And on some practice/ride days passengers are allowed. But it depends on the event and on what the circuit allows the event organisers to do.
  13. Have to be an eye watering amount of coin to have any influence. A world championship would be worth how many millions over the course of his retirement?
  14. Multimeter. $20. Srsly. http://catalogues.repco.com.au/home.html Also butchered.
  15. Is it available somewhere or is a standard GPS antenna enough?
  16. That's an easy fix then. Piss the spacers off.
  17. Its just that I am old and cynical and reckon wheels & tyres should be designed to make the car go/turn/stop and not for stance/fitment. If you are setting cambers to make the tyre fit to my addled brain you are doing it the wrong way around. Equally it is out past the guard then it doesn't fit either. But as I said I am old and jaded so each to their own.
  18. Hmm, well it may be the same story but the other photos make it look like your wheels/tyres are sticking out past the guard?
  19. You need a L2S cams licence. See here: http://www.cams.com.au/get-involved/competitors/getting-started You need a car club affiliation to go with it. If only there was a Skylines club that held track days..........
  20. John, Can you elaborate a bit on the logging part of it? I have version 1 and am curious to see what has been added.
  21. Wish I knew what this meant: And although Mercedes wants to wait for the dust to settle on the weekend before holding a crisis meeting, Wolff has assured Hamilton that a simple telling off is unlikely. "Today we've seen the limits of the slap on the wrist," he said. "Maybe the slap on the wrist is not enough. "If Lewis has said that it's going to be a slap on the wrist, and that there's going to be no consequence, then he's not aware of what consequences we can implement." When asked what the team could actually do to rectify the situation, Wolff said: "A lot. But I'm not going to comment on this right now." Fine? He just signed a $30 Mill a year contract like that would hurt. Team orders? You will come second for the next N races? Severe talking to? Really, what could they possibly do that wont hurt the team worse than the driver?
  22. You can usually look up what the rim size range is acceptable for the tyre manufacturer. EG: http://www.yokohamatire.com/tires_101/customizing/rim_wheel_width/ The reason people get mad is that Skylines are supposedly about good engineering. Putting a fitment set of tyres/rims on them is seen to be the same as neons.
  23. Phark. You know things are bad when the manager has to clarify what their own spokesman has said and when the two drivers are both telling less than the full truth and/or avoiding the media.
  24. Cheers man. Just out of interest in rugby big in Japan?
