Problem being if you wait you get overlooked. There will presumably be an opening at McLaren when they get sick of Perez being hopeless but I reckon Hulk should be worried about Sauber dumping his arse for a pay driver. Happened to him at Williams and I reckon it could happen again. He would have been alot better off staying with Force India. But for now he should sign for Lotus. It will be quicker than next years Sauber and he will only have Grojean to beat.

No one likes the safety bloke. Bottom line is get some skills. Sparky skills are pretty handy to have, mostly instrument as electrical alone doesnt cut it so much anymore. Dual ticket is better.
-
That describes Sauber.
-
Yeah, buy buy Massa. No chance of him doing an Irvine and signing for shtloads more than he is worth.
-
Well if Kimi bolts I hope faceless investment banking corporation has deep enough pockets to fund Lotus properly so we dont get a repeat of the last time they lost a brilliant, charismatic F1 driver.
-
Gerhard Berger was the last to do that? Have to think about others, probably be stupidly obvious. And so it is. Mario Andretti did a famous cameo in 82 after Villeneuve and Pironi destroyed themselves/each other. Also Clay Regazzoni.
-
Rumour mill is grinding pretty hard that Kimi has signed for Team Cheater to partner Alonso.

The difference between 1970/80's Ferraris and kit cars is not as much as people would imagine. Space frame chassis with fibreglass panelling. Tick. Awful driving position. Tick. Horrible reliability. Tick. Hardly anyone drives them hard. Tick. Etc etc etc...

Well the Nismo mounts are really just standard mounts with relocated holes for the arm to bolt into. So if you want to do what half the race cars have on them and relocate the holes there isnt much stopping you from butchering a stock bracket. The LCA is a different story, obviously. Someone has a set of LCA's & Nismo castor rods for $500. From memory the LCA gives you +5mm. Either Bri73y or stevena were selling them. Anyway you go fast enough so stop scaring the WASCC beards.
-
Or just replace the Nissan inner upper arm mount with a Nismo one and the problem goes away.

Is a Boxer. Think of it as the model before the Testa Rossa. Basically the same car just less crap although it isnt a patch on the Daytona. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_Berlinetta_Boxer

Youre dreaming. With the skinny track width they looked rubbish.

Speaking of which. Though not F1 related. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/AC-Cobra-2010/SSE-AD-2326254/?Cr=20&sdmvc=1 Maybe on old Reynard Indycar would be better value.

But that was Ferrari in its proper state - too busy fighting each other to win anything. But yes F1 cars looked alot better before they narrowed the track width. A 640, an FW14 (I prefer an FW13B, but anyway), an MP 4/5, even the Lotus 107 (in Castrol colours) and the early Jordans. But the Tyrrell 020 was a peach. Anyway they should bring back titanium skid plates now so people can get their Type 98T on in qualifying.

Depends on how much Tool can dictate terms to RBR doesnt it? Hoping Dan is like Webber in respect to not putting up with sh!t from anyone. Hoping he is not like him in terms of being able to get a car off the line. Fingers crossed it goes well. Because other than some young bloke by the name of Brabham I cant think of where the next Orstraylian GP driver would come from.

65Mm Pistons - Ie Stock Bore For An New Rb26 Block
djr81 replied to djr81's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Pistons are here thanks to the kindly folk at Special Piston Services. Much easier to deal with than the Seppos. Quick turn around too. Just got to get the motor assembled and may actually have something decent, fingers crossed. Going to delete the external rear of head return and run a pair of vents from the sump to the catch can in -10. With PEP's rings, a 1.25mm restrictor in the head and some drilled out internal returns that should be enough. -
Since when does E70 make more power than E85? It is an economy argument, not a power argument. The data traces showed no gain anyway. Aside from that the rest of the teams signed off on it so what are they whinging about? Anyway was nice seeing Moffat junior taking the piss out of his choked up old man on the tv on Sunday. Good on them for A: Winning B: Hosing the Kelly's.

Turn1/2 cant quite remember. But you get to walk around wherever you want.

Antz 1994 R32 Gtr Project & Restoration
djr81 replied to Ants's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Thinking the same for mine and I havent seen a 32 with a black front lip in nearly ever. -
Most F1 articles are all speculation anyway.... Kimi to TCAD would be bad for Red Bull but no idea why he would want to go back there anyway. Who else for the # 2 Ferrari seat, though? Maybe a Lotus/Ferrari bidding war for Hulkenberg?

I was dismissing it because it was so far off the front runners pace. That McLaren & Sauber were both horrible that weekend helped no end. It depends on how you measure things - say 20 seconds down at the end of the race and 8th or 60 seconds down and 4th. Which is better or more competitive? For my outlook when looking at the driver I would go for the second of the two options - but then Im not a big Button or Perez fan either as outright speed is, for me, the mark of an up and coming talent. As the old saying goes - it is easier to to smooth a speedy driver than speed up a smooth driver.* *OK I just made that up. Doesnt make it wrong, however.

Yeah, sorry it was full again. My upper arms are a backyard build - err, sorry a professionally engineered custom fabricated component. I did this because I couldnt find anything for sale that I was happy with. Basically it is two ends bored out of pipe (32NB extra strong or double extra strong, cant remember which but an orphan of a size) to accomodate a bush kit (Whiteline) and a slightly shorter RHS arm (50x25 or thereabouts) with the forward offset (ie how far the outside bush is ahead of the inside) not much different to stock (The Cusco one is alot further forward, for example). This is for castor, obviously. For what it is worth the Nismo upper arm mounting bracket stopped the car from destroying the outer bush every track day - so there must be something in the stock geometry that relies heavilly on the castor rod bush. Replacing the castor rod bush with a rose joint fries the outer arm bush and to me, felt like it bound up the suspension to a degree. So the gain I found was in freeing up the geometry and in improving travel by using an aftermarket strut top inplace of the standard Nissan ones. I still need more travel anyway. I have never got into the graphs etc for the suspension so cant speak to roll centres and camber compensation in roll. But most track GTR's run high suspension rates so maybe they are trying to compensate for geometry issues? This is the difference between the Nismo and Nissan mount for the arm locator holes. Some people are happy to weld & redrill but I didnt have a start point other than to buy the Nismo package - which was fine because I wanted the LCA anyway.

Time to play the music, time to light the lights? The Red Bull muppet is at it again. Dr Helmut Marko backtracked on Tuesday, revealing Red Bull will in fact not finalise its 2014 driver lineup this weekend in Belgium. Earlier, amid reports the world champion team has decided to promote Daniel Ricciardo to replace the Le Mans-bound Mark Webber, Marko told Germany's Sport Bild that "we will make an announcement at Spa". But on Tuesday, the Austrian was quoted by SID news agency: "We will express ourselves when the time comes, and that will definitely not be at Spa."

Ah, ok. Yes you are right I would hate it. Anyway Singapore in four weeks near on. Has anyone any recommendations for the trip?
