  1. I've entered - but it's 50/50 whether the car will be ready. I bloody hope it is as I really need the seat time / testing time before WTAC.
  2. WRX entry is up. Someone else can start another thread but here's the link for now. https://secure1.ilisys.com.au/wrxc/motorsports/MotorsportsEntrytemp.php
  3. Naidoo is in Open Class.
  4. Yeah Racepace are doing the car and yes its the black JDM with Spec V turbo's, pumps, cooler, pipes etc. The car was making 440awkws on 98 with a MAF tune (stock MAF's maxed out in places with-in the tune range but the AMS ones caused a massive back-fire on lift-off and unfortunately I had the crash at Mt Baw Baw rally before we've had a chance to look at it again. Only got the car back last week). So quite interested to see how it goes on E85 + SD this week. Going to PI this weekend for the real test.
  5. Yeah we are also switching to SD. I tried the upgraded AMS AFM's and they were an epic fail so will go with SD tuning moving forwards. And I guess we'll just have to try the ID1000's and see.
  6. domino - did you ever get around to looking at upgraded turbo's? I'm curious to know from your investigations if running this upgrade on E85 can still get away with 1000cc injectors? We are supposed to tune my car later this week on E85 for the first time but I only have ID1000's and am not sure with the extra supporting mods if they will be big enough now.
  7. Broadford rarely runs with car clubs as CAMS has imposed a 4 car limit for track density - so it's pretty hard to run a track even there. It's not really wide enough to fit 2 cars across so would actually suit 1-2 cars best. It's quite a hard little track though and has no real margins for error.
  8. It's a super common problem. Just put an old sock over your power steering reservoir. The other option is to fit a power-steering cooler. The old auto GTS-T's had them standard and you can pick then up from a wrecker for $100 or so.
  9. Yeah I've seen plenty of people pulled up at PI for noise. So keep them quiet! Seems I've missed out too but will be at PIARC the week before for my first shake down since getting the car back.
  10. Well someone got a bargain. That being said they'd also better have double what they paid for it sitting around ready to throw at it as a project like this is really a never ending money pit!
  11. I think they posted on Facestalk that they will be using the old(ish) layout. One of the corners will be changed slightly I think from memory but thats about it.
  12. Nope. Still haven't got a car yet so hard to think past anything until I get it back and make sure it still works
  13. Yeah I'll buddy with you Richo
  14. Danny is a good fella. Ask him if he needs me to come up for some comic relief! BTW - will be a good effort if his IX is ready. It was missing the whole front after Baw Baw.

    Tyre Suggestion

Very noisy and with a UTQG of only 100 will not last long. (Compared to say 180 for the Dunlops - so basically close to half the life expectancy). Upshot is the grip is much better. So really more suited as a track tyre than a full street tyre IMO.
  16. Nissan never ran a team - JRM did. And they have changed their focus this year away from GT1 to the world enduro championship - in a Honda. You tend to find with history that very few GT1 teams hang around in that championship for long as they are all pretty much private companies.
  17. Clutch - fixing it now and will be right for TS1 tomorrow.
  18. Captain sent me a text last week saying he thinks a number of tears will be shed on the 2nd last stage. Not sure what it is called but he reckons it's full of surprises.
  19. List is up. Plenty of SAU'ers. Good looking list across all classes too.
  20. I'm hoping to make it down to Hobart for a beer!
  21. I'm not entirely convinced that Ferrari are ahead of the Torro/Williams/Sauber pack. And I think it's because they are closer to the pack more so than Ferrari are further behind. The race pace of Pasta was impressive - he had several mid race fastest laps and fastest sector times. Always at the top of the Speed traps too. It'd have been real interesting to see what pace he could have run at if he'd found a way past Alonzo. Real shame he binned it. But was good for F1's to see the Williams so competitive though. Hope they can keep it up.
  22. I'm going this year. First GP outside of Oz.
  23. For what - the one run before it blows up?
  24. As crazy as this thing is I fail to see the point of it. Just seems like the wrong platform. But each to their own I guess.
  25. To answer my own question it's seems JRM have decided to go Endurance racing in a LMP1 Honda Not sure what this means for the future of the R35 GT3 but I wonder if this is why TQ has the Maclaren coming instead.
