  1. Just do it Dr Jeckyl. Or is this Mr Hyde? I always get confused as to which Brisby is actually posting.
  2. The previous PIARC weekends this year were $140 / day and are open to all financial members of any CAMS affiliated car club and holders of a minimum CAMS L2S license. This won't be any different.
  3. If you guys can't follow the major hwy between Syd and Melb without getting lost what chance do you have of following a motokhana map? NSW FTL.
  4. Great news Ant - well done. We'll be expanding our pit crew within the new week or so as well.
  5. LED's are for homo's Pete.
  6. I'll be at Sandown on the 12th August Juz (HSV Club). Link to Entry form for you - http://www.hsvownersclub.com.au/HSVOC_Sandown_12_Aug_07.pdf
  7. Yeah - 2.8L + twin GT-RS on Federal tyres in the pissing rain isn't my idea of fun but I never saw Gav stop smiling all weekend.
  8. It's going to be a cracker for sure. Although Chris holds on too tight and will put himself out of contention in no time. The one thing I learnt from last year is it is damn hard to win one of these things but it is really easy to lose one in a few moments of madness. So in Vic I'm sure Chris will have some great moments but eventually he'll throw it away....

  10. Some good SAU representation in W.A. Chris did brilliantly taking out a number of fastest times in his R32. Well done mate. Here's some of the representations. Chris and his old man in his unique R32. The engine bay is just sweet I must say. The National Competitors Craig and John had a bunch of issues - including breaking their gear knob off! My weekends rocketship Gav did a great job given his lack of experience - until they made him drive around cones But I never once saw him stop smiling. Carly had an RB26 for lunch on Sunday RB25 powered Pintara goodness! The event itself was brilliant. It's a shame it was so wet at times as many of the events were smoking fast and a ball to drive. But I can't wait for Vic now. Let the shit talk start.
  11. Hey thanks all! Really happy with the final wash-up given the conditions. Was quite pissing down for half the rally - especially on the whole last day which meant we decided on playing safe to protect 2nd place rather than having a crack at 1st at the end (Given we were on hard tyres and the guys in front and behind us were on wets). Although Uncle Fester (Beaumont) did try his best to hand us the event on Day 2 - watch out for the coverage on Chanel 9 in a few weeks for that one. But overall it was an awesome event. Doing things like 4th gear slaloms was quite a buzz Met heaps of great people over the weekend and the level of competition over in W.A. was much much higher than I probably initially thought. I know speaking to some of the guys that have done all 3 events this year said W.A. had by far the highest level of competition at the pointy end so far. But I'm expecting Vic to be even tougher and I can't wait to see how the GT-R goes. I actually think it might be a slight advantage over the EVO given the boys we were chasing had a clear stright line advantage that won't be there for them with the GT-R (e.g in the 1/8th mile drag (200m) they were nearly a whole second faster than us.) So Bring on Vic Some quick pics I've found from AHG on Saturday. Our little rocket Gav in his sweet R32 copped the same conditions as I did out there. Not easy I can tell you. In the end these boys were just too good (again) The Team Wang Subaru! Brendon also won the drivers comp outright. The Team Wang 996TT! These boys also took out the Rookie Crew Outright award. Team Wang sure did prepresent over in W.A. Thats all for now.

The best answer would be - give him a call
  13. Hmmm - despite claiming otherwise it seems Brisby may infact be Victorian... Just the wrong kind of Victorian.
  14. Hehe - I'm only stirring. Mind you last weekend at Sandown there was a 400oddKW Supra on semi's that managed a best time of 1.23.9. It sure was a rocket down the straights. Most laps were in the 24's, 25's. It shows that the time you punched out already is quite impressive.
  15. Yeah the new WRX looks terrible. But I still say the new STi has potential.
  16. Yeah the EVO I drove around there the other week was pretty much on it's limit holding it flat but it could just be done if you got the angle through the previous left right. But that little crest for the right hander is awesome fun although I can imagine there has been a good number of big offs there through the years. Those essess definitely make the track.
  17. That looked like fun I see the camera car had to back off through the Essess - with your power do you also have to ease off through there Evan?
  18. I dunno Ni. The most recent "spy shots" from the Ring I reckon the STi actually looks better. The EVO is starting to look very plastic, high and a bit dull now that it is moving from the prototype stylings and into the production stylings. Where as I reckon the Rex is looking quite WRC (even it if is a Xsara copy)
  19. I got my front and rear R34 Vspec diffusers through Aaron @ Rampant. Give him a buzz. http://www.rampant.net.au/
  20. Yep - as much as EVO's have really impressed me to drive (especially Blaises) I'm actually really keen on the new STi. I reckon that might be my next daily.
  21. Yeah pretty much. 1st session was knocking a bit (then blew a cooler pipe off when I backed off). Spoke to Benno and he said it was tuned for 100 and I was only running 98. So I had to pull a bunch of timing out and have a test run to make sure it was ok. Lost heaps of top end speed after doing that (about 15-20km/hr) so will be looking forwards to going back there with some 100 fuel. Also the car stops so much better now than it ever has. The one session I had half a go I was stopping so much earlier than I needed and kept having to get back on the gas. The hard thing was I am simply so used to my braking points that in this one session I wouldn't allow myself mentally to drive in deeper to where I can now go. So there is a couple more seconds in the car for sure with a bit more seat time. But it's great to have a car I feel confident in even if I did still have a few minor hiccups again today.
