  1. So far all attempts have been fruitless but we'll keep trying.
  2. Who ever told you your facts you need to ignore from now on. The weekend of DECA (Aug 25-26) is a round of the AMRS at Winton. So IF there is any cars there practising they will be pretty cool to watch. But given Winton does their Friday's in 3 groups of 20mins (20mins Bikes, 20 mins Racecars and 20mins street cars) the amount of track time you'll get won't change. But I doubt there will be many there given the Saturday is practise for the AMRS cars anyways. Plus it's a $100 and its 3hrs from Melbourne so I've never seen more than 10 cars there on a Friday - although this may have a couple more given it is the week before Dutton Vic and few cars could be out for a shakedown / giving co-drivers a test run behind the wheel. But you will leave the day with more than enough laps under your belt to have made it worth while.
  3. This scares me more than Pete and his Pintara does.
  4. Same guys as ran this Winton day. (HSCC and FFCC) See if I can't finally join Teen Club. Although really I just want some km's to see if I can't finally get that trouble free track day done. Dutton is getting closer....
  5. Na everyone bailed on me and it was too far to go on my own. I'm going to go to Sandown this weekend instead.
  6. The problem with the Bathurst weekend is the $5,600 is just your entry fee. By the time you factor in the brakes, tyres, fuel and other expenses it's an easy $10K excerise. I'm doing 2 rounds of the Dutton this year for less than $5,600 (given I'm splitting the costs with my co-driver). But for $10Kea we could do the whole National Championship and get to drive Queenslannd Raceway, Morgan Park, Wakefield, Eastern Creek, Collie, Barbagallo, Winton and Sandown plus a bunch of other great driving venues. Driving Bathurst would be awesome but given a very limited motorsport budget there are other things I'd prefer to do.

    My Evo Sold!

Jebuzz Rod that was a quick fling. The EVO not do it for you?

    Re55's

Does it look strikingly like a GT-R now?
  9. Yeah but I'm sure he was driving a Mitzubishi Fuzo as he needed something "Not So Squeezy".
  10. I'm sure the car could do it. The problem is all you northern franginpani loving poofs are so used to driving around on your dinky little racetracks with tops speeds of 87km/hr that you aren't going to know what to do when you run out of revs in 3rd. But I'll help you out Pete. Just remember the advise you gave me at Wakefield and use it at PI. "Keep it flat through turn 1 and you'll be right. If you lift off you are a poof."
  11. We'll all get in. Saturday will be half empty (it always is) and they have a big field on the Sunday (120 usually - remember they send out 24 cars on the track at once with PIARC). Over the 2 days you'll get plenty of clean laps but there will also be a few laps of door to door fun to be had as well with fields like this. Especially since PIARC don't group cars according to lap times so you can get some big differences in speeds (but we can all put our names down in the same group so it is no big deal). And good luck getting Benno to PI even though it is a Sunday and so he has no excuse. Maybe if we all say his muscles are under developed (or at least the important ones are) we might be able to coax him into it. But I'm not saying it cause I still need him to look after my car

    Re55's

Apparently 265/35/18's will be back in the country finally next week. That is all.
  13. If you like a good tanty get danica and paul tracey in F1. On another note - with Indy now gone is it just me that would secretly love the US GP to be an Oval somewhere. Maybe Daytona or Talledaga? I'd love to see one oval race (and just 1 per season) just for the possibility in F1 where we see regular overtaking in somewhere other than the pits. It's the one siutaional also other than a wet GP where someone other than a dominant team for that season might get up for a win.
  14. Good one Princess. I'm pretty sure I recall being in the 1.49's with a near stock GT-R. Don't recall too many others doing that. So surely if a stockish GT-R can get into the 49's a lighter - more powerfull rwd skyline should be able to do it easy. As for those other 2 prima donnas - it's been a bit hard to catch them from the sidelines. But I'm sure by the end of the year we'll have the pecking order corrected.
  15. Yeah it's about time you 2 boys joined the 40's which will only really leave Brisby in the 50's where he belongs.
  16. I wish I was a lube specialist.
  17. I get sensative when people start trying to mess with my motokhana's I can tell you right now!
  18. Smurf - having just had a play over west the last thing you want is real stiff suspension. The quick way around barbagallo is over the curbs through those esses holding it flat from turn 1 to the sweeper and you won't do that with something too stiff. And the inside line down the back straight is bumpy as hell. And Collie and AHG aren't stiff set-up places either. So getting the set-up right seems pretty important over there. I believe there is a place over West called Wilkinsons that seem pretty switched on for set-up stuff.
  19. The good news for you Pete is that if you DO tap the wall at PI it'll be one to remember. Given that 3 of the corners are faster than turn 1 at EC and a 4th is about the same (Turn 12 has a slower entry speed but a faster exit speed than EC turn 1) you can appreciate that any decent offs will be good footage from outside of the car
  20. They might be the same Bec. Depends on how I'm feeling
  21. Paul - be aware the 2540's will be horrible on the track. Especially the tracks you guys have where you are on and off the throttle a lot. I know changing turbo's is no big deal but it is something to consider as for a track car they don't get much worse than 2540's for a set-up. (unless it has a 3.0L engine)
  22. I'll be disappointed if I don't get into the low 1.02's - high 1.01's the next time I'm there
  23. Yeah as far as I know Champ Car (with Will) isn't on any TV - free to air or pay unfortunatley.
  24. What do you mean you can't post? You just did post!!? Can I have some of what you're on?
