  1. Frangipani Racing?
  2. Only time we stop is if there is lightning. Then it's a bit scary on the skidpan. Otherwise it's all steam ahead. Although the skidpan is near impossible when it's wet.
  3. Perhaps try another coat of fresh paint on the rocker covers? I must say I've read through your specs list about 5 times now and the one thing I can't help but wonder is why you are only running 14psi?
  4. Any of you boys back for Rnd 2 next week? The Autosalon guys contacted me today but the car still isn't ready - but I will try and make it for Round 3. They were keen on my bringing some other cars from Vic too if I can. Spoke to Ben today and he said he'd come so will see if a few of the other boys are keen too. Be interesting to see how close to 1.04 we can all get.
  5. Except for that bit in Albury on the way up Now remember also - if you guys come a day earlier next time Winton which is right near Shepparton (you remember Benalla about 30mins down the road) is open for practise most Fridays and you'll all already have a license for it if you did DECA on the weekend (aka CAMS or AASA is needed). And as far as tracks go it is most like Wakefield in that it isn't high speeds and is safe and fun to drive.
  6. Oh - and the guest speaker was tops. We want more like it at club meetings!
  7. He actually was classified 1st in handicap points. Fair effort that. Anyways - I'm super keen on the half cage with removable diagonal / harness and side intrusion bars. Not sure if one size will fit all but for under $1K it sure is piece of mind and I get to keep the back seats.
  8. Looks like we have our 2008 Motorsport Secretary lined up!
  9. I'm doing the W.A. round this year. The schedule sounds really good. I'm coming over at the start of July for a practise run down at Collie and Barbagallo just to get familiar with the place. I did a half day at AHG earlier this year and that's a great set-up for sure. The thing about these type of events is they aren't as bad on drivelines as everyone thinks mostly because the surfaces you do most of your starts from don't have the grip to put huge strains through them. The only place you're really likely to hurt it is at Kwinana. So if you take that easy you should be right. But if you want to speak to a few more of us beforehand I know a few guys will be at the Collie track day on July 1st.
  10. Does this explain this then? 979 James Ward 967 Andrew Richmond 959 Adam Newton 937 Chris Thomson 922 Gareth Evans 576 Troy Brisby
  11. Geez - after 2 rounds the top of the championship looks like this: 979 James Ward 967 Andrew Richmond 959 Adam Newton 937 Chris Thomson 922 Gareth Evans
  12. Doesn't help you were using those crappy advans either. God I hate those tyres.
  13. SM4 sold but the CDI is back on the market. ($800)
  14. If I have my blue car I'll be there.
  15. Guys - anyone who missed out on last weekend or had so much fun they want to do it again here's your chance. I can even tell you that the battles from the DECA just gone (which were ace if I do say so myself) are going to be run for the WRX Club event. The full skidpan events are different but will also be cool (unless Age is ghey). Currently their numbers are quite low like our first one was so you will probably get more runs than normal. And since pretty much the rexes there are just going to understeer into the dirt anyways it's a good chance to show these guys why skylines are much more fun
  16. Yeah Kudos to all of you guys that made the long trip down. We hope the journey was worth it and thanks for coming with the right attitude as well. Was great to have you guys there. Cheers
  17. It did - except when you were driving

    Deca Review

Big thanks to everyone that came and made the day so enjoyable for all. It was in my opinion one of the best DECA's we've had. The new format worked great and meant we were never rushed for time but I don't think anyone feels they missed out with the missing practise run. The afternoon battle format was definitely great. A big thanks of course go to everyone that helped out on the day. It really is appreciated that we have more and more of our regulars putting up their hands and helping out for parts of the day. I must also thank everyone that looked after our special guests from NSW and the staff from Taco Bill's that came down during the day. I've said it before but it's the friendly accommodating nature that makes these days so great. The other thing that was really great yesterday was the number of people having drives in others cars. This is an experience I'm sure everyone who was involved in appreciates and it's just great that as a club we are so prepared and trusting to allow this kind of thing to happen. I must say I was probably the biggest example of this yesterday and other than my WRX which I brought up I also had the pleasure of having a run in Jame's EVO, Leewah's GT-R, Fooboy's EVO, Scotsman's GT-R and Ryan's 180. And I had offers from plenty of other for drives in their cars too. So big thanks to everyone that either let me drive or offered their cars - it was great fun. I can also tell you all on Friday I had the chance to test out some new designs for our August DECA in both full skidpan and battle runs and I think the next DECA may have the best events ever. So we can look forwards to that already. Cheers Snowy
  20. You guys are so lucky to have Sunshine. He's special.
  21. I think you'll find most agree that N1's, GT-SS and 2860-7's = almost the same thing.
