Marcov - R32 GTR - not sure other than full race trim, big single and RE5's - 1.15.9 2. Benno - R33 GTR - RB30DET, truck turbo, harrops, etc etc- RE55's - 1.16.8 3. JFK - R33 GTR - Twin 2860-5's - race trim - Hosiers - 1.16.8 4. Vossy - R33 GTR - HKS 2.8L with 2530's - RE55's (?) - 1.17.1 5. Tony - R33 GTR - twin 2530's - RE55's - 1.19.75 6. Frank - R33 GTR - twin 2530's RE55's - 1.19.xx (can;t remember as it was in the practise session and then his clutch went bang)

Bris - if we could get Benno, JFK, Marcov, Frank, Crazy Tony and Vossy to post up their times you wouldn't have a hope of getting near the top 10. Infact that'd mean you'd need to run a sub 1.20 pretty much to make it. Where'd your RB20 be then hey?

Apparently it was for sale - especially around the time of the UC article. Because John was a bit disgruntled with it. But he recently took it to Benno and he's put the smile back on Johns face. So it will be back in Dutton Vic again this year.

Brisby - you could have $20K proflex suspension but if you jump on the brakes with oil on your rear tyres you're still going to crash into the wall. Having said that Sandown does need some suspension that can ride bumps as has been said already. I'd add wakefield to that from my short experiences there. IMO the standard shocks are better at Sandown than a lot of the hard jap stuff. But the opposite is true at PI. If I was going to have picked a suspension from the original list it would have been the Tein Flex. They seem by far the best of the "basic" Jap stuff that is available.

In Vic - the 4 fastest GT-R's I know of are: (all times on R Comp tyres) 1. Sam Marcov (R32 GTR) - times include 1.15 at Sandown and 1.29 at Winton 2. Ben Derks (Racepace R33 GTR) - 1.16 at Sandown and 59s at Calder 3. Frank Picconi (R33 GTR) - 1.31 at Winton and 1.43 at Phillip Island 4. John Kennedy (R33 GTR) - 1.16 at Sandown and 1.43 at Phillip Island Not sure how the Berry/Newman (giant) GTR would stack up against these lot these days but I'd expect that they'd be right up there. Although I still don't see them touching the Marcov GTR yet.

The only thing I do different is drop to 2nd before the 2nd last corner instead of before the last corner. Otherwise I know I'm the same as Jack gearwise (when using say Scotsman R33 GTR).
