  1. Mate I'd hardly call our hostesses from Taco Bills 14 and they are always available (and you're a good show of getting the claps too from them)
  2. I like your positive thinking. It's character building. But you have no chance. I suggest you set your bar a little lower. We usually have some chicks driving you can try to beat instead. Actually - you won't beat Juz either.
  3. I'm in for both days. Lap timers FTW Now to get my 1.46....
  4. You do realise that is like saying you are going to Goulburn to go shopping? Shepparton is not the shopping capital of Australia I promise unless you do all your shopping at Target (and call it Tar-jay)
  5. definitely. Lots of us will be on semi's as it is definitely better with them.
  6. I was going to say the reason why there is no pics of BRI58Y is because everyone has to put their fingers in their ears everytime he drives past so there's no way to take pics!
  7. Here you go John - see where you can fit yourself into this list over Easter. 1. JagR33, R33 GTR - 1.46.36 sec 2. Aaron34, R34 GTR - 1:46.51 sec 3. Snowman, R34 GTR - 1:48.02 sec 4. Scotsman, R33 GTR - 1:50.1 sec 5 ferni, R33 GTR - 1.51.35 sec 6. BBGTR, R32 GTR - 1.51.76 sec 7. Roy, R32 GTST - 1.52.00 sec 8. Rowdyr32, R32 GTR - 1.52.23 sec 9. provo, R34 GTR - 1.53.97 sec 10. Ant97GTR, R33 GTR - 1.54.01 sec Phillip Island is by far the hardest track I've driven on to get your head around. It's very difficult to reach your potential there the 1st time out simply because of the speeds and commitment needed on some of the corners. I have no doubt that you will want a return visit after the Nissan Nationals over Easter. Oh - and if you are going to be running cheater tyres then Highlander ran a 1.44 on them at the weekend as well in an R33 GTR.
  8. It's a while off yet but I plan on going Friday May 11th.
  9. Watching the video I was going to suggest that to you. I'm also suprised Jack uses 3rd through Southern Loop. I'd have thought 4th was a better option? What do the other R32/R33 GTR guys use through Southern Loop?
  10. Boy you look good there
  11. Budge sent me this one that's not bad - especially given the amount of track time my car actually saw and how little I actually gave it any stick.
  12. PIARC are holding a "hill climb" on Sunday April 29th at the Phillip Island Race Track. Basically the course will start at Turn 5 (Siberia) and go to the start finish line. $125 entry fee before April 20 and $135 after that. Also - the Saturday will be a full circuit non-timed practise day available for $125 with hill climb practise from 3:30-5:00. If you just want to do the late afternoon hill climb practise it will cost only $50. Sup Req's and Entry forms - Click Here At this stage I think I will attend this rather than Maserati Day at Sandown. $200 for Sandown is a bit steep IMO. I might even be keen for the practise day on the Saturday as well. Cheers Snowy
  13. The practise session I was just doing system checks - I kept my eye more on my gauges than I did the track. But I also never really pushed the car past 6,000rpm. The first timed session I pushed a bit harder once I started my flying lap but as soon as I hit around 7,000rpm the engine warning light started flashing and knock hit 230 so I pulled the pin after just 3 corners. So whilst my run of failed track days continues I have now set a new record for the least number of laps I've managed on a day! So thats a PB at least. My main aim for the day also was to drive the car home in the same condition I took it there which I also managed to do. i.e. I drove a bucket of shit there and I drove a bucket of shit home again. But Brisby has given me renewed confidence. His car has had as many issues as mine and yet yesterday he finally got the run he was after and the car seems back to all its glory so I still have hope mine can make it there too one day. One day.
  14. Cars are ghey. That is all.
  15. Yeah but with me you at least know I'm not insane. I was just driving fast and the music showed I was relaxed in doing so. With Brisby you aren't quite sure about the sanity side of things as the more he gets things wrong the more excited he gets. Anyways... I just thought my day was done before I'd even started tomorrow. Went back to my car after lunch to find a small river coming from underneath it and I feared the worst. Good news is it just turned out to be a split in the rear wiper washer hose and the fluid was just water from the washer tank. Hopefully that's it for issues for me this weekend.
  16. I can personally vouch that a passenger lap in Brisby's car is something you'll never forget. I can also highly recommend Xanax as the medication to help you sleep again after the experience.
  17. They are japanese. They are just a mazda with a ford badge from memory. My mate had a TX3 turbo and it was great. It was still running strong and had 280,000km's on the clock. He only sold it because he lost his license for 3 years after drag racing an unmarked cop car when he was drunk..... (not the brightest star in the sky)

    Easter Nats

If I was around I'd have entered this year but I'll be in QLD. Maybe next year I'll give it a crack.
  19. That would be my perfect world too mate. I really quite like driving PI in the wet. And would help keep the speeds down whilst I put my car through it's system checks.
  20. BTW - Jack/Aaron - where's Kennedy? Surely he wants to come show us these 43's he reckons he's running?
  21. http://www.modelcars.com.au/ That's where I got my stuff from.
  22. Ok - to try and reduce the 5 calls a week I get - NO THE POWER FC ISN"T SUITABLE FOR R32 GTRS. Thanks
  23. Yep ok - for anyone that's interested we'll meet at the Bunnings on the crn of Sth Gippy and Thompsons Rd Cranbourne for a 7:00am departure (damn that seems early!) That should get us there just after 8:00am.
  24. GMP in Oakleigh - http://www.gmpracingproducts.com.au/home/ Meridian Motorsport in Moorabin - http://www.mmsport.com.au/ Both will have what ever you need. They also have lots of things you don't need but will want to buy anyways so beware. As for a meet-up I was thinking the Bunnings in Cranbourne Sat morning some time if anyone is keen?
