  1. On a side note I see Jeff Beaumont is on the entrants list. This will be a good chance to see just how quick a well sorted EVO is in the hands of a decent steerer. This is the car Jeff will be doing the up-coming Lake Mountain Rally and this years Dutton Rally National Championship in.
  2. Full tank. And if you run out there is a BP across the road.
  3. ATTESSA controller FTW!
  4. Yeah guys - if you can't run sub 60's in those cars you must be hacks!
  5. I know some people that know some people that robbed some people..... Actually was for a magazine article on P1 international ( http://www.p1international.com.au/ ) being covered by Unique Cars. The needed a few "professional drivers" and I know the person who had to arrange those drivers (MissJuz from these forums). Was really the best of days.
  6. Hey those days are over *crosses fingers*
  7. Actually - I'm guessing if it's going to be 38degs it will be a total fire ban day. I wonder if all us GT-R's will consequently be banned from running.
  8. Or at least cools off a bit at night. Although looking at the forecast I can see we might get a late change which could mean we'll be racing under lights in a thunderstorm. Life won't get much more exciting than that experience!
  9. Is this possibly the oldest thread on the forums?
  10. I was up in Sydney last week and got to drive both the Aston V8 Vantage and the Porsche Carrera S (Cab) and I can tell you I'd rather the Aston by far. Having said that I'd take the F430 over any of them. Damn that was pure sex to drive.
  11. Those alone (with injectors and AFM's) will give you around 325kw's @ 19psi with your current set-up. If you also add some poncams you'll increase that slightly but increase your mid-range heaps. Then once you get bored with that you can build your bottom end and go for 360+ no problems. If you think 300 is going to keep you happy for ever then the GT-SS or 2860-7's or R34 N1's are your best option. But you won't really get much past 260 on the stock turbo's.
  12. Later mate - if you make the list (which I expect you will) I'll let you know and get you to pay then. cheers
  13. I got an entry form from someone that lives on Piperita Rd Ferntree Gully that doesn't have a name on it. If you could let me know who it is that'd be super. Cheers
  14. Remeber to check out the promo movie to get you in the spirit of things.
  15. And FULL - starting the reserves list now. Thats 1hr 45mins. Give yourselves a clap. Now I can go get some lunch.
  16. [email protected] doesn't come to me. It goes to Chris - but I'll put you on the list
  17. My poor fax machine...

  19. Shut up Mr I Went For a Drive In an F1 Car - we all hate you too. But if doing that drive day means losing all my friends then thats a sacrifice I'm happy to make. For reference this is the company: http://www.p1international.com.au/ The Melb division is opening at the Grand Prix and really when you do the financials it's a lot smarter joining this club than it is owning any one of these cars outright.
  20. OMG - yesterday was the best day ever. Juz you are ace for thinking the best idea you have ever had is to get me and James to come up and be drivers for you for this day. Bently was suprising (had a short "drag" to the speed limit in it against James in the 430 and the rarri was only JUST pulling ahead when we had to back off). But then what do you expect from a W12 6.0L twin turbo. The Aston was the nicest car IMO for an excecutive daily driver. The sound was amazing and the interior was perfect. But it was hard to really appreciate it when over half of my day was spent in the Lambo (mostly because no one else wanted it!) The Lambo sure was a fickle car. It's stupid carbon ceramin clutch (was a propper metal gated manual) would produce more smoke than the Vic bush fires if it even slipped slightly and the car in both 1st gear and reverse at low rpms would really splutter and struggle (and stall and then not want to start again). But taken to the limit in the twisties it was the best car. It felt very GT-R like in it's dynamics and I sure could punt it hard with confidence. But saying that the best car was the Ferrari (and I really wanted it to be the Lambo). But that Ferrari was just amazing. If I could afford to buy a car from any of them driven yesterday (or any car I've driven ever for that matter) it would be the 430 even though I reckon the Lambo at the limit is faster. The rarri was nearly as fast (just wasn't as confident in the front end when really pushed) but the rarri was better everywhere else by miles. And I also once thought if I was ever stupidly rich enough to afford a car like this that I would get a coupe as they are quicker and more genuine sports cars - that's now been killed too. The total sensory experience of that rarri rag was just mind blowing. Ferrari 430 rag WTF. Now I'm back at my desk and life is a lot less enjoyable.
  21. I second if not already all of those. Oh - and I am the DECA Master.
  22. Rowdy - No. Basically Chris and I were discussing this yesterday and we have decided that moddified class will be for tyres with a UTQG of below 100. So that means tyres such as the Federal 595RS (UTQG 180), Falken Azien RT615 (UTQG 200) and Toyo R1A (UTQG 100) will all be eligable for Standard Class. We will put up a list shortly of all tyres that will fall into moddified class but the Federals will definitely be in standard class.
  23. In what? I'd really like to see you do that!
  24. Another option for a good comprimise tyre is the Federal 595RS. Speak to President James as Federal are looking at giving SAUVIC members discounts on their tyres. He has some on his EVO now and they look pretty good. http://www.federaltire.com/en/html/pdetail...line=1&ID=3
  25. 2 of the more fun tracks to drive in Oz.
