  1. Listen mate, My new co-driver went to the drags last night in his shopping trolley and ran an 11s 1/4 mile (sure it was an 11.995 but it was still an 11!) That's with the stock turbo and a stock bottom end and R Comps. There are a lot more reasons than AYC to be leaving the silver bullet if you can't even get near them in a straight line contest!
  2. I remember buying this with a brashs voucher once. I think I still have it somewhere... Along with my 83 Summer Hits and 85 Hitz tapes.
  3. Hey Marlin, I know the rules. I know Jeff Beable quite well and he's filled me in with a lot of the requirements. But as I said I'm going to SLOWLY get it ready. The main reason I'm doing the turbo's now if because they have to come off to fix a gasket leak anyways. Then in 2007 I'm doing the Dutton National series then in 2008 I'll look at either Lake Mountian and/or Mt Buller. So I have a good 18 months to save up for an N1 oil cooler (as well as all the other bits I need). But I just can't imagine trying to do a 10min sprint without a cooler. But I saw your car is up for sale too mate. I wouldn't be suprised if you don't / haven't already heard from Dom Loughman about buying your ride. (He did a lot of the Tarmac Rallies last year in a BA XR8 - bright yellow thing. You can't miss it) This thing!
  4. Brashes vouchers are always a good one.
  5. Oh - and also - don't go getting any idea's about my Keira.
  6. Hey remember he's leaving you for Xmas and moving into Palace De Patterson Lakes (well at least I hope he still is!)
  7. You could always ask for a cf bonnet for your SL600 (if you happened to have one!)
  8. The good news is Chris wants to do it in his car - so that saves you that problem! And Bribsy - get off the roids mate.
  9. There's no question your car would be good enough to win the event Aaron - but the question is are your skills good enough to get Scotsman to co-drive with you. He has pretty high ambitions for Dutton 2007 so you might need to come to a cone hitting day and prove your not just a track robot.
  10. I plan on being there. I also believe a few SAU NSW guys plan on coming down as well for the event.
  11. Hey Geoff, Na I'm going the N1's route so I can make the car Targa Spec. It's going to suck at first as I know I'm going to miss the top end pull of the 2530's but the rules are rules and there is nothing much I can do about it if I want to start competing in some of these big events.
  12. The last tune done on my car with the power fc was 362rwkw's @ 24psi that was also with the 2530's, cams and a bottom end (pistons only). Before I did the bottom end I was making 325rwkw's @ 19psi with the power fc, cam gears and 2530's.
  13. yep. a) seems all my problems have started since I started chasing more power. b) response is better for Dutton stuff than absolute power in 90% of events c) can easily get the car ready for Mt Buller / Lake Mountain now with just a cage which is something I'd love to do. d) The 2530's have to come off anyways to fix a gasket leak so it seemed like a good time to do it. e) If I get the urge down the track to sell it again it will be easier to sell if it's in full Targa Spec than it's current specs.
  14. Don't worry mate. I've decided to keep it. Although I'm going to take the 2530's off and put some N1's on and slowly get it ready for some Targa style events - but it will be kick ass come mid 2007 just for you. In return you just have to make sure the engine is warm for me on Sat 23rd Dec at the AHG driving centre so I can get straight off the plane and straight into your little rocket.
  15. Alan - I could spin a FWD for you if you like. It's a little thing called lift off oversteer - any novice can do it. (mostly by accident!)
  16. yep they will fit.
  17. And you know what uncle chop chop says about people who drink soy milk in their coffee's... (Blaise) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYCt7igDnro *Language warning.
  18. Guys, I've gone in a new direction with my car so I have my HKS 2530's with actuators (done about 10,000kms - still perfect) and my Power FC with the hand controller for sale. Won't seperate the turbo's or the Hand Controller from the Power FC. Turbo's - $2,700 Power FC + HC - SOLD Contact me via PM or on 0419 375 140. Cheers Snowy.
  19. Is that all? Luckily for me James is paying for when I do this event.
  20. Yeah I was thinking that if I decide to keep my GT-R that I might get it resprayed to WRX WRC Blue.
  21. Geez that would be like when Al respayed his car from Burgandy to Wine Red.
  22. Where'd be the fun if it was going to be easy? Haha - well I'm actually doing the Dutton National series next year with Blaise (well we are doing NSW, WA and Vic which is enough rounds to make us eligable for the National Championship) but consequently Scotsman is looking for a co-driver for Vic if you want to come play again in 07.
  23. I see there is now some Elise's, some GT3's and a GT2 on the list as well (apparently). I was thinking of changing my mind and finding another time to go but it's becoming a mightily interesting list of entrants. Unfortunately we haven't been able to get Sutton Rd for this weekend so there will be another Wakefield trip to NSW early in the New Year run in conjunction with a Sutton Rd event but we are waiting for the NSW people to recover from their hangover and get the dates sorted.
  24. That was the plan. Infact I only put the for sale thread up because of the fact that I was approached by this Targa dude first and it got me thinking. A big part of me really wants to keep the car and: a) Beat Jack and Aaron next year. b) Win the Dutton Rally. c) Beat Lowth and Scotsman @ DECA But if the right offer comes along I'll still be trying to do a), b) and c) but just in something new.
