Right Click and Save As That is all. Oh - and since half the field didn't get a run on the 2nd Battle the overall results didn't include those results.

    Dba Rotors

I got my last set of DBA rotors (rears) from John @ UAS. See how his prices stack up mate.
  10. Yep it even took me 4 meeting after the SnS to give the trophy away to an R31 owner.

Na my curse. It's been cursed ALL year. Had the PCD Valve issue at Calder Rally Masters, the tyre issue at circuit battle, the cool pipe at Calder, the well documented rod at Winton (due to a damn fuel pump of all things) and now the tranny fluid episode at DECA. But it looks like Jesus might take my place with his recently run of luck (and especially don't let him drive your car!)

    Deca Review

Actually my car looked a whole lot worse than it actually was. It seems the filler plug on the top of the gearbox came out. I probably should have looked into it earlier in the day when I notcied a few drops of oil under the car. It also explains the huge step out I had on the mini wang which was no doubt some oil dripping onto the rear wheels. But the fact is I haven't actually touched the gearbox in a long time so god knows why that plug has suddenly come lose. We were able to get a replacement plug (of sorts) and got home with no drama's at all. Im just mostly bummed I killed half the skidpan for everyone. Otherwise my car was pretty sweet with just a few little things to sort out so I can't wait til next years MS season.

I was just trying to turn it into a real skidpan.

    Deca Review

It seems most people still aren't back from Shepparton just yet. But when they get back I'm sure there will be some stories so post them up here. A few car drama's spoiled an otherwise great day in the heat. The technical layouts provided a different challenge this time that was for my part a nice change. Still - fun and fast will still be the main focus of these days in the future. Anyways - thats all from me. I look forwards to seeing th footage of Vic breaking NSW. Also - I'd like to put out a big thanks to everyone that help run the day. It was a difficult day to be out in the heat so it was a job well done. And we hope you like the exclusive shirts as a token of thanks.
  15. Bunta - I wouldn't panic - check their last track day times. http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results..../2006.WAKE.S4.Y It's just that this time there are a few more cars that will be under 1.10 - but not all.
  16. Depending on where's closers - Advantage Suspension - 4/1 Winston Crt Moorabin - 9555 2633 TECH///SPORT , Bayswater - 9720-9300
  17. Was I driving? Was I late? No. I don't do late. That's Scotsmans domain.
  18. I've gone the other way (put a 4.11 diff into my R34 GTR) and I can tell you it has made a massive difference. For my applications it's been awesome but I'd hate to imagine going back the other way. Still if thats what you are chasing it sure is an option.

    Tpms

A few people have shown an interest in my new little toy - the Orange TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) and wanted to know more about it. I must admit I first heard about it fro Jeff Beable who runs one in his Targa car - but then also was shown 1st hand the effectiveness of them on the Maserati Quattroporte James and I drove which told me about the flat tyre before I realised. I'll have it on the car this weekend at DECA to get a real feel for how good it is but basically it's a little gadget which has sensors fitted inside all 4 tyres which then provide information on both tyre pressure and tyre temperature to you live in your car. You can also set "alarm" points for low tyre pressure and high temperatures. I got mine from Bit Distribution in Bayswater for $315 - Bit Distribution In the last 12 months or so I've managed to delaminate a number of semi-comps on the skidpan basically from over heating - so I'm hoping this will help stop me from doing that. Also - earlier in the year I destroyed a tyre from driving on it flat (sidewalls were so hard I didn't realise it was flat until it was too late). So pretty much if this thing can save me 1 tyre it will pay for itself. Also it means I don't have to get out and check each tyre regaularly on the track and can also get a better understanding of how quickly tyre temps come up and go down on the track because I can see all the data live. It will also show me if my tyres are overheating due to excess wheel spins on the skidpan. More information on the unit is available from thr Orange Website here - Orange TPMS
  20. Don't get me wrong - I'm not trying to say "Don't come". I'm just suggesting that there will be another trip later in the year if you are just coming for fun as that one will be better and this one will be pretty busy and not so much fun - unless you are racing.
  21. Before we have 11ty Billion yes people like last time I will say that we will be doing another decent road trip in 2007. This is more of a general track day thats just a long way away rather than a road trip. I'd suggest this one more for the people that want to come and race rather than a social trip as my plan will be to drive up probably Thursday afternoon/night - Race on Friday - Get up early and go home on Saturday. As I said - we'll have a propper road trip in 2007 again going to Syd with either EC again or Oran Park (since it will be gone in a year or so). Or even better both - so that will be the road trip to come on for the fun of it and shenanigans.
  22. RE55's are the best bang for buck I have used. And I've tried DJO1, DZ02, RE540 and A048's as well. Just have a set of R888's on my car now but I'm not expecting much from them to be honest (only have them because they were free). The only tyres I'd buy however are RE55's (SR compound - which is all they'll have unless you specify otherwise)
  23. I've had the 215's on my stock rex for about 15,000km's - and the car has had some rough treatment - and they are still ok. Not perfect but they are not ready to chuck yet by any stretch of the imagination. And for a street tyre they are by far the best overall tyre I have used (great in both dry and wet). I'm planning on replacing them with the 615's as the 215's have been so good.
  24. Rowdy - we are currently looking into getting a lazer temperature gauge for the clubs use. This will also help find out if there are any major set-up issues.
  25. But my car is afraid of going to the Bayswater / Knox district.
