  1. I did a 1.50.1 in Scotsmans car (R33 GTR) at Eastern Creek (from 2 laps). I also did a 1.51.4 in Niges car (R32 GTR from 4 laps) before it started burning....
  2. As I said - decent oil and over fill in the answer.
  3. BTW Brisby - the only people more talentless than slick users (they sure weren't old crappy ones either) are EVO drivers. Easiest cars to drive fast ever. I should get one and put some slicks on it I reckon. It would suit me.
  4. I forgot to give one more set of thanks. I really have to thank James for letting me be 3s faster than him in his car at Wakefield and Nige for letting me be 3s faster than him at Eastern Creek in his car. I'm so used to having Blaise and Jesus being faster than me in my car that it was nice of you guys to let me try the shoe on the other foot for once.
  5. I spent a good hour saying this on our recent trip to Sydney! LOL
  6. Ok - the SBS theory is officially busted. 5 GT-R's from Vic - where we don't suffer from SBS - just made the trip to NSW all on semi-comp tires and packing a decent punch to complete 2 full days at Eastern Creek and Wakefield and have seen no sign of SBS. All that was needed was an extra litre of oil - and making sure the oil to start with is good stuff. So SBS - Busted. R32 FFS however (firewall fire syndrome) is definitely confirmed. 2 out of 2 R32's igniting their firewalls at EC is definitely something I'd be looking into if I was an R32 owner. That shit isn't cool. Engines can be fixed. Burnt to the ground shells are a little harder. Luckily that stuff burns slower than a cigar but still...
  7. Well the first ever SAUVIC Motorsport road trip is done and dusted. And for my part it was a great success. No major drama's (sure there was a couple of minor ones but you get that) but overall a great few days away. The #1 objective of the trip was to drive some new tracks and in both Wakefield and Eastern Creek we got 2 completely different tracks that I would have to say were extremely challenging and fun to drive. I think the Vic tracks are probably easier to find the right way around than either of these 2 tracks which IMO would take a few visits and thinking about inbetween before they were nutted out. I'm definitely keen to make another trip again in 07 - especially this time in my car. Speaking of which I have a few people I really must thank. Firstly Nige for the lift up and back in what was possibly the worlds hottest passenger seat. But I give a huge thanks to Nige, James, Alan, John and Scotsman for giving me the opportunity to drive their cars around the tracks. If nothing else it was a huge learning experience for me in getting into all the different cars especially at Eastern Creek where I drove all 5 - and seeing where they were good and not so good. It was a big eye opener and a whole lot of fun (except maybe the minor smoldering incedent). Oh - and AYC and Wakefield are the best of friends. I'd also like to thank from NSW Sunshine and John for their hospitallity to us. It was fantastic and greatly appreciated and Í'm sure we'd all like to return the favor down here one day. Finally to all the crew that came along a big thanks for making the trip so much fun. So many funny moments to go with the great experiences at the track. I guess all that is left to us now is to find a state we can visit where the cars drive on propper tyres rather than these talent replacing slicks.
  8. Crikey! I bet that feels a whole lot different to drive now mate! It's going to be good to see you back out there. You'll love Wakefield as it will suit your no holding back style!
  9. About 30-40 skylines from Vic, Qld and NSW at Wakefield is what is currently expected..
  10. Um no - Bris the footage of the RB20 knocking over 3 cones in 1 run was James. Funniest thing to go to air in years.
  11. Well somebody there is confused as their website says Canberra (close enough) is going to be Fine - 23deg http://www.weatherchannel.com.au/Magic94sc...y&State=ACT
  12. Forecast for Wakefield is fine 23dges for next Wed currently. Tops.
  13. I believe they started the track down at Bunbury finally this week. If that ever gets finished you should get a round of the JGTC which will be tops!
  14. Well remember next Wed there will be lots of Skylines from Vic and NSW down for the day. It's just one of the open days like this was. Any first timers can join us. Most of the Vic guys have never been to Wakefield before and I pretty sure we have quite a few 1st timers as well.
  15. You better hope those rims turn up in time then James. Cause currently it's just a lancer.
  16. God damn! That's a new one.
  17. It's ok Mav - it's a mini meet. People have been asking for one so here it is. I'll try and make it in the Super Hatch. It needs a wash too.
  18. We don't want mexican! We do mexican. You guys can do boobs.
  19. As far as I'm aware this event is only timed if you can get someone with a stop-watch to time you. It's not an offical track day as such. But I'm hoping to get as many people timed as we can by people on the sidelines.
  20. Thank god Jack posted his Sandown time because I've been embarrassed being the #1 spot on that list given I can think of 8 GTR's faster than my time off the top of my head. Sam Benno JFK Aaron Jack Frank Tony Trevor Scotsman
  21. Any VRC members here that are going to Derby day that might have a members guest pass going spare?? I have friends all over the place (Nursery, Rails etc) so am trying to get a members pass so I can go visit everyone. I'll have beers waiting at all venues so if anyone has a ticket I can repay in amber fluids!
  22. Nick was running Aziens (215 fronts and 615 rears I believe) which count as streets - just. They are by far the best street tyres you can get that aren't a full R Comp. They last a long longer and are only slightly slower than R comps. They are a great comprimise tyre. Toyo make a similar tyre in the R1R's as well.
  23. The rumours are he wanted to come to DECA but it was sold out before he got his entry in.
  24. Awesome effort Jack indeed. Now for the creek.
  25. Aaron - we spoke to EC again last week about letting us bring some NSW people along but they so far haven't come to the party. They still are saying for NSW people they will need a PC or high license. So you and Jack need to come to Wakefield since everyone is now coming there.
