  1. Since Aaron has pointed it out I'll post up a thread and a link for it. Already over 30 spots filled for a max field of 84 entrants. $160 - for entries recieved before Dec 1st $180 - after Dec 1st. Link to sup reqs and entry form here: http://www.alfaclubvic.org.au/component/op...tartdown/id,86/ Cheers Snowy.
  2. I agree with Aaron. I don't see what everyone gets off about Sandown. Tracks I've dirven my order would go. 1. Phillip Island 2. Calder GP Masters (where you turn left at the end of the straight and do a lap of the Thunderdome) 3. Wakefield 4. Deca Wang (You all know its cool) 5. Winton 6. Sandown 7. Calder National Aaron I'll be up for Alfa Club in Dec for sure. I haven't been to the Island this year yet. I'll save my new tyres for it.
  3. Na mate - I was going to go and then do Race to the Pie the following weekend but I want to see one of those events run 1st before I do it as I still think Big Walls and Cliffs mixed with 650HP cars with no roll cages is a worry. So I'm saving my $$$ for something else. And the Autosalon thing is a long way to go for a few laps by itself even if they are free. Plus they still need to get the event right.
  4. Just one of those questions I'm 99% sure I'm not going to get an answer for but I'll try. I am looking at putting an Autronic SM4 into the R34 but I'm not sure if I'm going to lose the MFD display if I don't run a pnp ECU in tandem with it. Does anyone know if the R34 MFD runs through the ECU or does it get it's data directly from the sources? Cheers. Snowy.
  5. I'm chasing a stock ECU for an R34 GT-R V spec. Not sure if a non-Vspec will work (not sure if it will run all the MFD applications?) Cheers Snowy
  6. You better be ready to run in the 1.30's mate if your going to be playing with us!
  7. Fox-footy was basically a wasted chanel. There is more of that being made of than what there should be. Now all the games and all the main "footy" shows (OnThe Counch, Fox Leauge Teams, etc) will be shown on the new sports chanel Fox Sports 3. It just means the pointless shows like the ones with their wives and stuff are gone and can be replaced with othersports like more Motorsports. Like Tuesday nights with the DTM, British Touring Cars, Masters Series etc. It's tops.
  8. If we could get F1 live etc I'd happily pay for it. The last 2 F1 races being on at gods hours have been just crap. AFL footy fans for the last few years have had to put up with the Prime Sunday game being delayed telecast - reduced highlights - and then 11ty Billion Ads between goals. Meanwhile the non-prime game was live on Foxtel with no ads. Give me live sport anydays.
  9. Wakefield isn't on V8 Supercars 3....
  10. I was told the same thing over 12 months ago mate. As I said I was told It's going ahead and will be ready before Xmas - and that was last year. And yet you will not find a single scrap of media about this place. if it was really going ahead you would think there would be some form of media somewhere about it. Next time we catch up I'll tell you all the stuff I know.
  11. excelent as I'm bidding on them and dont want to get into a war! lol
  12. *waves hand jedi style* You dont want to bid on those parts.
  13. Magnetic Fields is awesome music for hard corey driving. Ask Alan about the run through the spur in the rain listening to them! A perfect song for losing your license to is definitely: Bitching Camaro - The Dead Milkmen "Bitching Camaro Bitching Camaro I ran over my neighbour Bitching Camaro Bitching Camaro Now I'm in all the papers" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXE-uHGNk3k...ted&search=
  14. Brisby I will be amazed if this other track ever gets built. I've been in the know about it for a while now and I just can't see it happening. It's supposed to be part of a full motorsport complex complete with track and skidpan but they always said the drag strip would be built first. But they also said the drag strip was going to be read LAST Xmas. So... I've seen the plans and they were dated 2000. It's a bit like the track being built in Bunbury W.A. that was supposed to host a round of the JGTC in Dec 2005. It still hasn't been built either.
  15. Collette - Ring My Bell.
  16. Clayton - I'm pretty sure Aaron has all the bits just for this very reason.
  17. Licenses yes - but you will need to arrange to be a club member first if you aren't one as yet before you can get a license and that can't be done on the day. Doesn't have to be a member of SAU - but you will need to be a member of a CAMS affiliated car club.
  18. Ok - I must suffer from Schizophrenia since I have both a red and blue car. Red - Full of zest, energy and drive; thinks, moves and talks quickly. Blue - Introspective, reflective and cautious To make it worse my red car is my daily driver and my blue car is my track car. I think the fact is that article was obviously written by some Astrology loving freak who has no grasp on reality and looks for lifes answers in the bottom of tea cup.
  19. the noise is from the clutch - not the gearbox (I'm guessing). As far as how good the Motul ATF is - I honestly don't know. All I do know is that the recommended oil from Nissan is just Castrol re-badged. So thats why I use the Castrol and I've never had an issue since using it.

    Aasa Licence

These guys are hopeless. This happens every time! If you want it for this weekend you will have to call Heather at AASA on: (03) 5766-4235 They never seem to do anything with the forms until you chase them up.
  21. I love how easily he does that tricky shift at turn 8. I don't know how many times I grabbed 5th instead of 3rd there. And then spun off at the next corner. lol The most suprsing thing from that footage though is him taking turn 2 in 2nd. Not sure if his gearing in the ppg has a long 1st or something but turn 2 is pretty wide and reasonably quick from my memory.(I say this knowing that car has a 4.4 diff in it) I was only grabbing 2nd at turns 7 and 10.
  22. For those coming that have never seen Wakefield before here is a little in-car lap by the SAU Track Times Wakefield leader gaint (well it was Mark driivng but still..) http://videos.streetfire.net/video/BAC0B0F...0B297B03720.htm Note - the start finish line is at about the 30s point of the video.
  23. Yeah my advice is 365mm is as big as you can go. I put 375mm rotors on with the AP CP5555 calipers and my R34 GTR rims don't fit over those. But Russ (giant) def runs 365's with his R34 GTR rims.
  24. There's a big difference between a pedal thats soft and a pedal that goes to the floor. lol. I'll change the master cylinder and see how that goes.
